This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good Morning Everyone - I slept pretty well. Today I will walk with DD, then zoom an LLI lecture on Ben Franklin, then play bridge at 1:00 and maybe practice Bocce at 7:00. I am feeling ready to go today- hope it lasts! This is funny, but YDD ordered her wedding cake topper - a mini statue of her doggie - ha. When she got enagaged, the doggie has a sign around her neck that said, "Mommy, will you marry my Daddy?" So, in response to the bride and groom saying, "I do," I think somewhere on the cake it will say, " I do too." I think this is hilarious!
Janet - I guess I had forgotten that both of your sisters had breast cancer. I try to be extra vigilant since my DS breast cancer did not show up on her 3 previous mammograms before they caught it. I always breathed a sigh of relief when my mammo was clear,,, now I am a little apprehensive.
RobinMD - darn, darn.... it is sooo upsetting when you type a whole post and then lose it !!!!!! I hope you have a good week, and that everyone shows up for their shift.
I made my coffee again this morning and used my new frother - little treats make me smile !! BBL

Good morning everyone!
Susie - thanks for starting us off. I love the cake topper. How FUN! Mark's cousin and her husband had his boxer be the Best Man. He was a nice dog with good manners and wore a tie that matched the other groomsmen. He came and took is spot with the other groomsmen and was told to sit, which he did nicely for just about the whole ceremony. He broke ranks during the kiss and wiggled himself in between the bride and groom to make it a family moment. It was hilarious and adorable.
RobinMD - Post Poofing! There are few things more annoying for me. Our weather is crazy this week. It's cloudy, gray and dreary today with an expected high of 60 degrees. Yes, you read that right. A high of 60 in mid-May in Alabama. That's NUTS!
Janet - YAY! Glad you got a good report and so quickly!
No real plans for today. Just hanging out and taking it easy I suppose. I'll definitely BBL

Hello everyone,
It is my late day but things finished up a few minutes early, so I thought I would say hello before I head home. Work is so busy right now. I'm tired and sore from all the yardwork I did yesterday, but that will work out quickly. The place looks great, too. I am off this coming weekend so I have lots of yard and garden plans. I am not even thinking about opening the pool yet. Our weather is just too chilly! The mornings are like fall, not spring!
Lora, I know you are chomping at the bit to get those kayaks on the water! I like that image of the boxer in the wedding, too!
Susie, what a cute idea for the cake topper! She is going to have a beautiful, fun wedding. And I think I am definitely going to look for a frother!
Well, I don't have a lot to say, just wanted to keep up and say hi to everyone. Waving to all, and I hope your week is going well.

RobinMD - Yay for a day finishing a bit early! Sorry it was so busy and most likely stressful again, but Yay for early. Every little bit helps, right? That boxer was a character. His name was Boone (short for Boonedog Saint - like the 90s movie Boondock Saints). Anyway, he'd been with Mark's cousin's husband since Andy was in his teens. Boone finally passed last year, but they brought him every where. He was the only dog at family reunions and such. Lol. Like I said, he had very good doggy manners. Even at the reception, he was totally "free range", and he never once tried to steal a chicken tender or anything. His only two missteps were actually hilarious. The grooms cake was a replica of Boone, laying down - and it was amazing. The food tables and cake tables were all inside, but the tables where we ate were out on the patio. Well when it got time to make our plates, he got into the food room for the first time. He made a couple of laps around the room, but didn't sniff at the food or anything - I was totally impressed. Then on his second lap around the room he spotted the cake that looked just like him. He stopped dead in his tracks, stared at it for a few seconds and threw back his head and bayed at it. I couldn't stop laughing. The only other thing he did that was out of character was that he barked at one of the band members. He was perfectly fine with everyone else in the band, but on a couple of occasions he stood directly in front of the fiddle player (it was a blue grass band) and barked his fool head off.

Susie, I LOVE the cake topper idea!!! What a fun idea!!
Lora, that dog-wedding story made me smile! DARN late shipping!!! Perhaps it's for the better, waiting for it to warm up a bit...
RobinMD, glad you got in the yard this weekend... and soon, you'l have your pool open again.
School was great. The students are finishing up working on their HOLES by Louis Sachar projects. They are making all sorts of projects -- videos, slide shows, journals, autobiographies, posters... so fun. The best part is they are just enjoying talking about the book while they're creating, fun!!
I went to the gym after school, had a Zoom meeting tonight, and now I'm tired.
Waving hi to everyone!
