Gee forgot all about opening up the cafe early this morning. I was lolly gagging over coffee and conversation. Now my day is planned and tracked and I'm ready to get a move on
Pam so good to hear from you. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at camp. Keeping DH in my thoughts and prayers. You are right when you said one of you needs to keep upbeat. At least it's moving in the right direction. God is good. Wow on your super duper walk. Amazing how far you get while playing catch up Sorry for your rain today but happy that a walk with Debbie is in your very near future. Yes Benjamin is such a love/cuddle bug. He follows us all around. Yesterday when Carl left for BJ's he whimpered. I was on the computer, called his name and he came running in to see me and jumped up on my lap. I guess he doesn't like being left alone.

Took a hood walk. It's sunny but far too windy for me to be out in it for any length of time. Pollen pollen blowing everywhere and now I'm sneezing my head off.
Must get involved in indoor tasks.
Later

Hi Ann,
I am late posting, too. It's been a busy day. I've had several work chores and then had to run out to the bank and store for a couple things.
My energy level drops a lot about 2-3 PM. It's always been my tired time, but since I had Covid, it's like I cannot keep my eyes open and must rest for about 30 minutes in the afternoon. I am a bit concerned about it because I literally fall asleep as soon as I sit down to read. On Saturday, I slept for over an hour which is very unusual. This is also after a good night's sleep! I also have never recovered my taste and smell to a satisfactory level. I hear it can go on for months.
Pam, sorry that DH's indigestion cut your trip to the beach/camp short. I'm so glad it was truly indigestion. Like you, I worry a lot about the heart when my DH gets indigestion. These guys, I'll tell you, they do worry us! Glad you had fun with your DDs on Mother's Day. Sounded like fun. Glad DH got his new cast even if it is double duty for you. THose stairs trips at the camp sounded like quite a work out. :-) You are a bundle of energy and glad your walking friend is back temporarily from her travels.
Ann, little Benjamin sounds like cutie and cuddle bug. They are so sweet. Our Cavaliers really suffer from separation anxiety. It has been so wonderful being with them all the time.
We are nearly done with Foyle's War sadly. Down to the last episode.
Sue, hope you are doing okay. I know work is keeping you hopping lately. Hope your DH's work has leveled off so that he's not too tired.
I had yogurt an raspberries for breakfast, a salad with mushrooms and lean deli low salt off the bone ham for lunch. Dinner is going to be another recipe from the cookbook I nearly tossed-LOL. It's called Steve's Poker Night Chili and uses meatloaf ground mix, three types of beans, stewed tomatoes and spices and is very easy! The cookbook is recipes for two so I used my little 3 qt. crockpot. It looks yummy. Easy peasy. I am looking for easy, healthy recipes that don't take me all day to put together. :-)

Judy I hope your energy level picks up. I have read where that is a sign of having had covid. I also read where there is a pill that is being tested that takes all symptoms of the disease away. Not sure when it will be available. It was on google chrome a few weeks ago. Then again as my mom used to say believe half of what you read! Just thought I'd mention it just the same. I have also been extremely fatigued lately. With me I think it's all the stress of the Boston situation the rent fiasco here and trying to find a home and putting ours on the market. Now that we have decided to stay put and have adopted Benjamin I'm sure that my energy level will increase. In fact, I just woke up from reading my kindle and drinking a cup of tea. The tea was ice cold and the kindle turned dark in my lap! I really would love to get out and walk again as that rejuvenates me, but due to the wind I don't dare. I don't need to add 'sneezing' to the mix LOL. Maybe later it will slow down some. I'm all for healthy recipes that don't take forever to make...especially ones with odd spices. We use our little 3 qt crockpot a lot. Perfect size for two

Hello friends! I was up and out early for hospice team meeting and then Walmart shopping. We had another rainy morning, but the sun is out now. I plan to walk a little later. Dinner will be pork roast, rice and gravy with some type of vegetables. I am leaning towards broccoli and carrots as we have plenty of fresh ones in the fridge. Lunch was leftover chicken breast from Sunday, salad and yogurt with blueberries & strawberries. I ate breakfast at hospice which was grits, biscuit and a brown & serve sausage. I will surely be over on PP, so MUST get that walk in. Shortly after dark, it will be raining again and is expected to rain most of the night. We are getting quite soggy! Judy- Foyle's War sounds interesting. That may be the next thing DH and I watch. Sorry you are still feeling Covid effects. I, too, remember reading about some people having success in ending after-effects with some type of medicine, but I don't remember what it was. Might be worth a call to your PCP. Ann - It seems Benjamin is settling right in with his new family, which warms my heart. I am sure your anxiety over losing LuLa and having trouble finding a new pup, as well as the possible move were affecting your mood, sleep and overall health. I'm glad all seems to be resolved and you even have a nice new neighbor, to boot. Sue - Hope all is well with you and DH. I know by the time school ends, you will be ready for a break. Frankenmuth is on my list of things to do if we ever make it back to MI.

Pam again so sorry for your soggy weather. Here it's sunny but very windy. The first walk was cut short because of it....I thought it had died down enough later in the day but it really didn't. I can't walk with all that pollen blowing around. Oh well...hopefully tomorrow will be better. Your meal sounds delish. My 'go to' veggies have always been carrots broccoli or green beans. Seems like I always have plenty of those to go around. I am happily jammified and going to read a bit. Carl is taking a nap and so isn't Benjamin
