Thanks for the start June. Hopefully Wednesday will be less windy so we can take longer walks.
I am running low on produce so will hit Hannafords tomorrow.
Sweet dreams and prayers continue.

I will continue to KOKO. If it's not raining I will get a walk in before we leave for HEB. I didn't help Kenneth today because the rain was coming down pretty hard at the time so hopefully I can tomorrow. It has cooled off nicely since the rain shower.

97 degrees today. I will walk before breakfast and then help Leo from 9 to 11. Then Iβm going to the first indoor meeting luncheon of the Fig Garden Womenβs Club. Everyone has been vaccinated. Before Covid, BobI are used to have dinner at Pismoβs Coastal Grill twice a month. I made reservations for May 21 but today both Bob and I saw that they are making masks optional not only for diners but for their employees as well. I am not interested in the wait staff and kitchen workers not being masked so I canceled immediately. Instead I texted a friend to see if she and her husband would like to join us for dinner at a restaurant that follows health safety rules. Bob will be home late because heβs going to Merced for a 5 PM meeting. I am making the simple chicken vegetable rice soup for dinner. Itβs easy and doesnβt heat the kitchen.

I will KOKO...
I was down a bit to a new low of 166. That means I have dropped 0.2 pounds since April 23. I know it is going to take time to break through but that it will happen so will...KOKO.
Just cooked some broad beans (fava from the pods) and have zucchini, red beans in tomato sauce, grains and some leftovers we will have for lunch. I will probably make the fava beans with garlic, lemon and a drizzle of olive oil. I could add the zucchini to the fava beans as they both taste good with the same dressing.
I plan to see if i can get the taxes and FATCA finished this afternoon. I changed the mailing address for my investment to Missouri where my daughter lives and have never filed taxes there before...could prove interesting...hope it can be done online as I used to do it in California.
AUDREY: I can see why you cancelled your reservation at the restaurant NOT following health protocols! YIKES! I am sorry that Leo is afraid of his teacher...that must be miserable. Is there anything that can be done about it or is it so close to the end of the year that it isn't worth it?
ANN: What a comfort for Stefanie to be in touch with Benjamin through you! How marvelous that he has slotted into your lives so easily!
JUNE: I remember wearing my green gym shorts and snap top in white long past the time they had holes in them...in high school I hated PE and could not see spending money on a new set my senior year. That last day of PE my senior year the girls RIPPED the shirt with holes in it and I had to run to the changing room hoping we would not run into the boys in our class before I got there! Memories! Hooray for being able to sleep late!
MJ: It sounds like you were busy with usual and not so usual things. I hope the exchange of the bracelet goes without a hitch.
SUSI: I am sure Lily enjoys every minute she can have with you! She would be a BIG dog to have in bed with you! I am glad you know what is going on with the payroll software even if someone else has to fix it.
BEE: What is a termite swarm? I have just been wondering if termites eat trees in the woods if they don't have houses to nibble on... Sorry your friend's daughter is losing the battle against cancer.
BECKY: I am glad the thunderstorms did not have a big impact on you. It must be nice to be in touche with your family the way you are and to be so close to them all!

Good morning friends. Another night that I slept well woke up refreshed and grateful. Benjamin wakes us up earlier than LuLa. He wants 'out' ASAP lol and Carl does the honors Right now it's not windy and I hope it remains this way. Audrey I do not blame you for cancelling. Enjoy helping Leo and meeting. I'm sure you'll have a great time at a safer place to dine with your friends.
Bee enjoy your day Cathy congratulations on seeing a lower number on the scale. Yes we are both so pleased at how much Benjamin is fitting into our lives. We haven't left him alone yet as there really isn't any reason to do that. Not sure how he will react. Waving...and shall CBL

It was a beautiful day for yesterday's drive down to Quakerbridge Mall. It was bright and sunny and cool, and the trees were vivid green against a fabulous blue sky. The bracelet exchange took only a few minutes and I am happy to have the one that I chose, even though the other was quite nice. We stopped for a car picnic lunch on the way home and then spent the afternoon just relaxing.
Toots left at 6 PM for his swing band rehearsal and didn't get home until 11 PM. He said that Route 287 had major accidents and congestion both driving out and back; I guess some things will never change.
There's a YM drill tonight so part of today will be prep for that. I also want to get to the bank to make a deposit. Other than that, I shall find a sunbeam and enjoy the day.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... pot just finished brewing...
ππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦π Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦π
Russπ€ΉStuff: The other half of the chair shipment arrived at CC-AL yesterday afternoon. We are curious to see when we will get an update - on that and on ANY of the other items the Care Team was supposed to address.
Yesterday they reported two cases of Covid in the AL section of MVG (MountainView Gardens is the overall facility that includes AL, memory care, advanced care, rehab). Therefore the whole building, that had just reopened the dining room, the salon, and other activities, is back on lockdown. Also, they had a huge Mother's Day celebration, inviting residents to have two guests join them for an in-room Mother's Day dinner - so they had a huge influx of outsiders over the weekend.

Gooooood morning
Ann Sounds like you, Carl, and Benjamin are becoming the Three Musketeers. Great that you may be able to enjoy another walk. Bet that Benjamin did not get that much structured exercise in his first home.
Audrey What an unhappy situation for all involved with Leo's schooling. Does Leo's school have a program for students with learning challenges and counselors? Hope so. Will keep praying for a favorable outcome for him. Enjoy your gathering. Bee Hope all is well. Any news regarding your Vit. B levelsand energy? My DMIL swore by cast iron skillets. I saw a lightweight version in acloseout section, but passed.
Becky Glad that your area got so much needed rain. How muddy does it get in the pasture or your yard after a heavy rain?
Cathy Am sending that .02 a mental nudge to go forth and multiply. Love that you are staying in the healthy-lifestyle lane.
We were not allowed to wear shorts w/ ours. I always asked the gym teacher whose bright idea it was to make gym uniforms white and why the boys didn't need uniforms. There were obvious monthly reasons for needing some bleach. Over time I used too much bleach on mine and the snaps fell off. Luckily it happened at home.
LaDonna Very excited about your trip. Hope that the gas supply stabilizes & that you can go.
Mj Wow! How nice that the bracelet return went so smoothly. Yay! Hope that the COVID-19 outbreak at CC-AL can be managed and no one. Is hospitalized. Susi Sounds like the software glitch is still ongoing. Sigh. . . Debugging is no fun. Hope that your lunchtime walks on the boardwalk give you a pleasant break from it all.

Wednesday's goals R. Whipped up a very tasty spinach, feta omelette for my breakfast. Am going to try to get to the bottom of a computer, browser, and/or Norton issue that created glitches w/ Blackboard.
Going for a walk at some point.
Had the best start to the summer-- two unplanned phone visits w/ dear friends plus a yard visit from my DS, Karen, & her BT pup, Chi.π

MJ so happy that you and Toots enjoyed a nice ride. Love when the trees look so pretty against a blue and cloudless sky. Sorry about the congested highway for Toots. Enjoy sitting in that sunbeam and soaking up the vitamin D June Benjamin surely DOES enjoy his hood walks. Especially when people come out to greet and meet him and he LOVES when he gets a treat Hope the computer issue doesn't take up too much time to solve. Nice you got to visit with that adorable Boston Chi Had an extra cup of coffee and breakfast. Carl made blueberry pancakes (gotta love a guy that cooks) so I'll have to 'watch it' and eat light for lunch. Unfortunately pancakes don't really stick with me....but they surely did taste good Waving.................

June - Unplanned visits via phone or in person are always a great way to start. Hope you get to the bottom of the glitches. Enjoy that omelet! Ann - Glad you slept well. Hopefully Benjamin will adapt shortly to your schedule. Becky - Glad it cooled down some for you. Hope you are able to get your walk in. LaDonna - Being busy is much better than being bored in my book. Bee - Good morning. Audrey - The repast we went to, the people attending did not wear masks after walking into the building, although the staff did. I see that starting to happen a lot more and probably many more mandates will be lifted shortly. I hope Leo does well today. Stay cool! Cathy - I hope you can file your taxes online. Yay on the drop. MJ - Glad you were able to get the bracelet you wanted and had a nice ride doing it. Hope you hear from the care team. The tree guy stopped by last night to review the work for today. It's a good thing as he completely forgot about turning the garden and that's my highest priority! My pr rep and I were able to do an audit trail proving that I entered everything correctly and the system overwrote it and won't let either her or me in to change. We'll see what solution tech support offers. Short term there is a fix she can run after the fact. We just don't want to have to do that every week.

Susi one can only hope that he adjusts. Getting up at the crack of dawn isn't good LOL. I hope TS can fix that payroll glitch. I don't blame you for not wanting to do that each and every week. We took a nice hood walk. Took us twice as long as everyone was 'out and about' wanting to know details re: Benjamin. Fun but tiresome standing in one spot for any length of time. I like to keep moving

Iβll have to do personals later but I just learned a very smart boy transferred out of Leoβs class. I am not surprised.
