Good morning friends. Another night of sleeping well and waking up refreshed. I feel grateful and blessed. Benjamin wakes us up much earlier than LuLa....once up he wants to 'go' and Carl rises to the occasion
Not sure what's on the agenda today. I do need produce as I'm getting low. That can't happen as I'm a grazer LOL.
We haven't left Benjamin alone as the situation hasn't happened. I pray that he will be okay with that.
Waving...and shall cbl

Hi all
It's a sunny day but windy, as you say, Ann. I am with you on the pollen. It affects me as well.
I'll bet that Benjamin starts adjusting to your schedule of sleep before long. D&D sometimes have me up at 6 am on weekdays so I must make adjustments to my bedtime routine!
Pam, good to read your update and it encourages me to see how much you rely on those walks to keep your weight in check. They always say it is mostly about food, but I think exercise is a HUGE part of it. Your success proves that to be true. Same with Ann and Pam. I'm still fighting the exercise portion. If I had a walking buddy, it would help.
Not a lot to report for today. The chili recipe was great in the small crockpot. After it was done, I tasted it and added a can of Rotel to pep it up since we like spicy stuff. DH brought a big bowl of it today for his lunch.
I had leftover baby red potatoes so I just stir fried a couple in some EVOO for my breakfast. I didn't feel like eggs so will probably have yogurt and fruit instead. Lunch will be another salad and I think we will be having chicken Italian sausages over WW pasta and sauce. My go to veggies are also broccoli, green beans, carrots and zucchini. I love carrots raw and cooked, but most often have them raw with hummus. same with cauliflower. I like it raw as well, but the soup came out great so that's another option.
I had a nice FT with the CA grandkids last night. Well, my DGD was not so talkative. Sometimes she gets in a mood and she was a bit sad last night and feeling lonely, she said. She had to go back to her dad's and that could be part of her feeling down. My DGS was as chipper as ever and talking a lot. I felt badly for DGD, but DH said she may just be entering at little moodier stage now that she is 7. We are planning to go to San Diego in August to see them again for a week's vacation. They cannot travel out of state thanks to whatshisname - at least until Covid is sorted out - and DH has not seen them since Dec 2019 so we'll go for a week to the beach with them. The house will most likely be done by then, but we decided it can wait a couple weeks!
I am off to the P.O. today to mail some stuff and that's my only foray out into the world other than a neighborhood walk.

Hi Judy....just finished my second cup of coffee and Carl made blueberry pancakes They were delish. Unfortunately pancakes don't stick by me, but they surely were tasty little devils. I will eat a light lunch. We are on the same page with the veggies. I love cauliflower raw also. The only time I eat it cooked is when I buy the diced and add it to my veggie bean soup. It 'fakes me out' as I think it's pasta LOL....... A ran of rotel is a food saver for me. I add it to a lot of things to spice it up. Glad you and DH enjoyed the chili. Happy you got to FT with DGK and DD. So sorry to hear about DGD being blue. I bet that vacation will be just what the doctor ordered. Too bad she is forced to spend time with what'shisname!!!! I guess the courts have their reason. Going to saddle up my two men and hit the pavement. Looks pretty out there. I don't see anything blowing around so my nose and eyes should do well LOL. Waving.........

Back from #1 walk of the day. Takes us longer and longer as today everyone was out and about wanting to hear the latest about Benjamin. I don't mind...but my BACK does standing still in one place lol. I'm better to keep moving but oh well. Nothing much yuo can do as he does put a smile on everyone's face.
Just waiting for my soup to heat up.
