This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good morning!
I only have time to say hello and then need to get ready to go for our run. Today I am thankful for good health for myself and my family and for friendships---like those with all of you! Thank you!
I did track yesterday (yay) so plan to continue...will try to pop in later. It was good to read about Sue's trip (although I do with you had the chance to site-see, Sue!)
Have a good morning!

Good morning Gabrielle ~ Thanks for starting us off today. THANFUL THURSDAY ~ Today I am thankful for my family, my health, and my ability to work from home! I did well yesterday, with eating, drinking, tracking, moving, and it showed on the scale this morning! YAY! Finally... I hit the next "decade" ~ BUT I know I must remain FOCUSED in order to NOT let it creep back up and over "that number" again!
Meanwhile, work is going along fine. Today is weekly GL report day - and I LOVE getting those gl/spreadsheets all tidied up and sent out to everyone!
Tonight's dinner will be chicken fajitas, so there will be sodium, so IF I go back up tomorrow, I know it's not for-ever!
Sue: Glad you could chat with Kris & David, I am sure they wanted a report of how DM is truly doing? Not the Jim & Annie "version"! Yummm, glad you had a roast you could cook - easy dinner!!
Gabrielle: Hope your haircut feels good. YAY for being closer to home now too!! Good idea to rest the leg, even though it was feeling better. Yes, keep those lists handy, they do help! Hmmm, good for you rethinking the protein you have been having, I was just thinking yesterday that I need to UP my protein a bit. I never seem to hit my mark. When things get back to normal, Jasmina is in my medical building - where my PCP is, right in Greenfield. (The town I work in). So IF we ever get back to in person Dr. visits, I can GO... For now she too is working from home! She was a few minutes late on Tuesday, and she apologized, but her dog didn't want to come in, when she let him out! LOL
Sue: Sounds like a great (easy) dinner.
Yikes - sounds like Jim and Annie are in denial - and that is maybe not in the best interest of DM! Maybe after David visits in July, you and he can try to get through to Jim and get DM moved to a better (for her) facility? Oh so sorry you didn't get to sightsee - but I get it. No point upsetting a strange household.
Oh dear... 16 & 19, and playing like "children" and told when to get ready for bed?? WOW, yeah, that's all I got too! WOW!
WOO HOO for bringing technology to DM for Mother's Day!! So nice to hear her thank you for it all, on Monday. Oh my - sad that Kris may be headed down that path again... fingers crossed it won't lead to more addiction.
Hmmm, judgmental - sorry it wasn't a "pleasant" trip with DB & DSIL, but glad you took the high road, for DM sake!
Glad the back to work days weren't too bad. UGH, yeah, glad I am NOT in the office this week - several folks have gotten 2nd shots... one girl got hers on Tuesday, so has to work from home the rest of the week "just in case"! WTH? LOL Yes, a full size when you are used to a Queen bed would be "different"! Add to that the mattress... glad it wasn't a full 2 week vacation!
Yes, thanks, back on track ~ and feel pretty good about how the day went overall, and the week that has followed.

Gabrielle: Hope your run goes well, be careful of the knee! YAY for tracking, let's do it again today, OK? Deal??
OK Time to get moving, I showered and got dressed before coming down ~ But now it's time to move over to the desk... with a quick lap around the house to get my 250 steps this hour! LOL
♥hugs♥

See you after work!
