Hi, I'm Heather and I'm a *fabulous, phenomenal, incredible woman* who slipped up. I feel like I need to say these words at a WW meeting. About 10 years ago I hit goal by loosing 47 pounds. Then I lost some more after goal. I went from a size 18 to a size 6. Now I'm in a size 10 and hate the way I'm feeling. I was so resistant to the changes with WW. I enjoyed working for them for about 5 year, but I lost my way. Freestyle did not work for me and I gave up. I even got upset with the change from Weight Watchers to WW. I took it way too personal. I tried doing it on my own, various methods of tracking, dieting, etc. But my portions are huge, I'm not eating enough fruits and veggies, I'm eating too much of the wrong things and I'm stuck. I know what to change but can't do it on my own. I need to go back but I don't know how. I downloaded the app again and I'm going to start watching points. But how do I go back to meetings? How do I sign up for the virtual meetings? There are a few in person meetings around me but only during the day. So I will start going to Friday mornings once school is over. I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to go back- virtual meetings, coaching, in person meetings, etc. Thank you * hpeterson1951 you had a typo in there that I fixed for you π

First of all you are not far. I am under goal and am comfortable in a size 12.
If you donβt have a meeting close virtual meetings are the way uh you want the accountability. I never got into the virtual workshops and there are no meetings close. Pick a plan that will work for you. Right now I find green works for me.
I was doing the old PP on ITB. They have started having weekly meetings on FB for all the plans. If you are strapped for money I like them best because I pay as much for a year as I would on WW for a month.
Itβs hard to go back I know. I started WW at 323 and was totally disgusted with myself. It took me a lot longer to lose my weight than most but it is what it is.
You have made the first step by realizing you need help but you are beautiful. You are not fat at a size 10.

borntexan, Thank you so much for the kind words. I guess I should not say a size 10 is fat because I don't want to shame anyone. I'm sorry if it came across that way. But for me I'm not comfortable at a size 10 when I know a 6/8 is reasonable for me. I'm only 4'9 so I carry my weight a little different. I did get down to a size 4 but I know that is unrealistic for me. I don't have FB so unfortunately I can't do those meetings. I've never tried ITB- I've heard about it here but never done it. Maybe I should look into it. I do have the green plan on my app. It's most similar to the points plus I used to follow.

Find a buddy you can be accountable with, a family member, a good friend, or somebody who is also working on getting more healthy and losing weight. My daughter and I are weight loss buddies. We compare notes, encourage each other, weigh in at home and compare our losses or gains, share what we have been eating and doing (exercise). We do this by phone (or sometimes face time on our phones) as she lives 400 miles away. It helps both of us keep on track.
You can do this, don't give up. Even if the weight doesn't get to where you would really like it to be, you will develop a healthy lifestyle.

hpeterson1951 I didnβt take any offense by you saying size 10 is fat. We all have sizes we are comfortable at. I had gotten down to a size small and looked and felt sickly. I just didnβt want you to feel like you were fat and down on yourself. I do green on WW app and if you ever need an accountability buddy I am here for you. Also DebDoesWW started a thread where we tell how many points we use every day. Itβs called drop your numbers.

wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/thread/64065/drop-numbers-5-9-15?page=1#scrollTo=674733π€£π€£ Everyone is welcome, it is the board irisinnia got started! β€οΈ We just drop whatever we want to drop there, whether it be numbers or just a check mark, whatever, depends on how you choose to lose. Just a place for accountability. I'll keep a seat warm for you. π€ I'm telling you, stop blaming yourself! That never gets us anywhere except the cookie jar. If you want to blame someone blame the nimrod that came up with the SP formula. I have said since it came out SP is great for maintenance (I know you guys are sick of hearing it. π€£) You are 4'9" this plan as written is NOT going to work. Period. The end. You know I am OCD when it comes to numbers. When I loaded up iTB and triple tracked, using POINTS, π and MFP, when I would hit my daily POINTS numbers I would be around 27 (?ish) on π. I have it written down here somewhere. Now add in a few for maintenance and BOOM you are at your daily target numbers. You have a few choices. Lower your π target or do what borntexan suggested and load up iTB. Super simple to use and very user friendly. Go with the plan you lost on previously, they have both POINTS and PP (yes they have all the plans but I am assuming you lost with one of those two). There is no harm in going to meetings if that is how you lost before and how you need to get motivated! They don't care what plan you do, nor do they ask. You give to the kids 24/7 all school year long, take this summer for yourself. β€οΈ * I have 3 cats sitting on me that refuse to move so please forgive typos, I tried to catch them all π€£

I have been up and down since joining Weight Watchers the first time in 1984. I have been to goal weight twice (84 and 98/99) and have regained each time to a higher weight. So, first of all...good job not getting all the way back up to your high weight again.
About a year ago I decided to start losing weight again and buddy up with my sister half a world away. She was having success with WW My Way Blue. I downloaded the I Track Bites app and started using Conquer Cravings which is similar to the early points program based on fat, fiber and calories. I lost in 84 on that program and had luck this time, too, till I started to to slow down with the losses. At t hat point I dabbled with other options on ITB and did Core for a month, etc.
My sister and I were there for one another and she is now at goal weight and I am her cheerleader as she is there for me as I focus in on the rest of my journey to goal weight. In a year I have lost almost 40 pounds and have about 20 more to lose. I will know when I get where I need to be.
In January someone on the ITB boards said they were using Sugar Smart (using the Freestyle way of doing points) to do the current WW program(s) so I opted to do that, set my points and weeklies and am using the list of zero points foods for those plans as a base. Living overseas I can't pay for the program through WW or go pro on ITB. So, I am doing what I can using the app and sometimes My Fitness Plan (a lot less) and sometimes paper and pencil.
Anyway...I would suggest:
* Choosing some boards here that appeal to you and getting involved on a daily basis. There are a few that might appeal to you.
* Find an app (I Track Bites, My Fitness Pal, WW) and track using the app.
* Find a weight loss buddy and check in daily with them (or do the same on the boards here) * Commit to the program for a month no matter what * Give yourself credit for coming back and being willing to get back OP again.
There is a group I have kept going...it was someone else's LONG ago. You can check it out, set a goal for yourself, check in daily...for accountability...if so inclined.

Thank you all for the support. And for Deb's gentle KITA!
I'm looking at ITB. How do I actually get an old WW plan on there? From what I saw they have their own plans and names. The one I was thinking was called "____Craving".
I may need to dig out my old WW books and find the points that used to work for me.
I know I lost well on 26 daily with 45 weekly. I just need to remember what the food values were.

hpeterson1951 , I found this over on Facebook on the I Track Bites Support group...there are other charts. The administrator that shared this chart wrote about the current WW programs this information:
SIMPLE BREAKDOWN OF MyWW PLAN DIFFERENCES π GREEN = old SmartPoints / Sugar Smart + Rollovers Workaround 30 minimum daily points / 100 zero foods / best if you want more points for eating out, prepackaged foods, snacks, alcohol... Video here. youtu.be/EfoS8PJpK84π BLUE = Freestyle / Better Balance as is 23 minimum daily points / 200 zero foods including eggs, chicken, yogurt, beans, peas, corn / best if you want a balance between cooking at home & eating out with a good margin for snacks/alcohol Video here: youtu.be/GB-HTMQwi8Mπ PURPLE = Freestyle + Complex Carbs (whole grains and potatoes) = Tracked using a Workaround on Better Balance 16 minimum daily points / 300 zero foods incl all the Blue/Better Balance foods + whole grains, rices, pastas and potatoes / best if you do most cooking at home, follow a more whole food lifestyle, can practice portion control, are looking for a heart healthy or good diabetic diet. hpeterson1951, There are a lot of things I have learned looking at YouTube videos, on the Facebook groups, etc. You can manually set the numbers to track. Check out the chart and see if it helps...if you have more questions...let me know. I have not paid at all using ITB.

borntexan, cathygeha, Thank you for the info. Unfortunately I am not on FB so I can't do a lot of the chats and meetings. But I will look into ITB carb conscious. I was very successful on WW Points plus. Thank you so much.

hpeterson1951, YouTube has a LOT of tutorials. Instagram has a LOT of stuff going on with I Track Bites and their ambassadors. I think they have a Podcast and other things. If you need something specific, tag me and I will try to find out if I don't know already. You've got this!

hpeterson1951, You can do this. I've had problems since Smart Points and started to count calories when Freestyle came out. I'm now using the WW app again with the Green plan. When they went from PP to SP I was so upset. I remember we had a lot of IT issues then too. With Freestyle I felt pretty divorced from WW. Have kept up with it because I promised myself I would when I started again in 2006 even if I gain weight. With all the information posted about ITB that does look appealing. hpeterson1951, borntexan, cherryt38, DebDoesWW, cathygeha, Just want to say what a wonderful thread this is, so much support and caring.

I don't always see these threads but when I do try to respond. I loved WW from 1984 till 1998/9 but after that with P+ and Smart Points found it didn't make as much sense to me, gave up, gained, etc. I am back on track now and am doing the hybrid version of the PURPLE WW My Way at the moment using Sugar Smart to track on ITB but also adjusting my dailies and weeklies and all the rest. It has been an interesting year and a productive one.
I believe any/all of the programs will work but it is important to find THE program that works best for YOU
