June, thank you for our start. I have blood work this morning so I may treat myself to breakfast at a local restaurant after itβs done. I will have time to walk outdoors before my appointment. This afternoon I need to plan my grocery list and meals for next week. It seems like I just did that. We are going to dinner with Laura and her husband. He was called in for jury duty this week and I donβt know if he has been dismissed. His day job is as a research attorney at the state court of appeals and he worked several years in private practice before that. Wishing you all a happy Friday.

Thanks for the start June.
Audrey good luck with your bloodwork. Enjoy being with Laura and family.
Tomorrow we are getting together with 2 other fully vaccinated couples to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine snacks and company. Music will be involved. It's supposed to be nice weather. We are so looking forward to it.
Sweet dreams and prayers continue.

Audrey Good luck with your lab work. Enjoy dinner with Laura and family.
Ann Enjoy the company of your friends.
I will walk before we leave for HEB to stock up for the the weekend. I don't think they will be lifting their mask guidelines but they also don't refuse anyone entrance without one. I saw a lady the last time we were there walking and just holding her mask in her hand around the registers. Since Walmart has remodeled they seem to have their act together better than HEB. They have hand sanitizer and disposable masks just inside the store plus cart wipes. HEB has the cart wipes and sanitizer but they stopped sanitizing carts a long time ago.

Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. Another beautiful day here. We got to sit out in the screen room for supper and also had a glass of Chianti out there. It was heavenly.
So looking forward to getting together with our friends tonight. Should be a wonderful time.
Becky hope you find all you need at HEB.
Waving...and will CBL

Good morning, June - Audrey - Ann - Becky - Bee - Cathy - LaDonna - Susi - Pam - and AWL! Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine... Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation. ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π What a wild day yesterday was! I got up WAY too early and then went back to bed after a couple of hours and didn't want to get up (bed felt sooo good). But Toots rousted me out a bit after 9 AM. After a wonderful phone call from a DGF we dropped off a hydration pack at the health center, where one of our YM's GGMa was working at the Covid vaccination clinic. Then we picked up DBigSis and headed for DBabySis' house. First there was some initial chatting and dog-petting (13-yr-old boxer Coco and 5-yr-old Boston terrier Bentley) and then DBabySis took us to her favorite local deli to choose our KSMB lunches. aiellosmarketandcatering.com/ Too much tasty food, including cookie plates she'd made up for dessert! Lots and LOTS of conversation. It was definitely a good re-start for the KSMB that had been on hold for a bit over a year. And my yarn shipment (great sale at Joann's) was waiting on the porch when we got home around 3:30 PM. Yes, we took naps. Then Toots got a phone call from a trombonist he used to toot next to in The Lamplighters, a big band he played in back in the late 60s and most of the 70s. They were on the phone for-EV-er, catching up on lots of years in-between (this guy is also from my class in HS and lives in another part of our township). The rest of the evening was Netflix, and we went to bed before 11 PM. Today? We will be hauling a huge box of cardboard (boxes from the MousekeHouse's new kitchen cabinets) to the dump at 10 AM. It didn't fit in the 30-yd dumpster that was hauled away this week. Toots wants to get the backyard grass cut. And the Kressling will be spending the night; there's a YM drill tomorrow morning. Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... let's start with coffee... and morning prayer... πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππππ¦ππ

Goooooood morning
Ann That sounds like a wonderful way to spend the evening. Audrey Good luck with your blood work. Is there a place where you like to eat breakfast? Enjoy! Nice that Laura & her husband will join your Friday dinner.
Becky It is hard to know what to expect during this transition period. I see more and more people who do not that the nostrils lead to the lungs. Among the local Amish and Mennonites, mask wearing was hit or miss even at businesses. Pretty soon I suspect anyone who wants to remain cautious will be ridiculed.
Bee You will let the TB know what is what. I have no doubts!
Mj What a nice gathering of Kress sibs! So glad that you all could find a workable time & location. Smiling as I think about all your happy faces and chatter. Always great to connect with dear friends over the phone. Love that Toots old band bubbly wanted to catch up. Love the night, The Lamplighters.
Naps are gifts we give to ourselves.

I will KOKO - made some buckwheat today and it is nothing special...but then...maybe I need to do something to it to make it special? Hmm... Weather is nice and life is good. I can hear birds singing outside in the yard and am content.
ANN: I kind of remember that Lula and Benjamin were the same age, now that you remind me Hope Benjamin can relax now that the roof is finished. I envy you the evening with wine and music and FRIENDS! I am eager to get together again on Wednesdays...think it MIGHT happen in August...maybe.
SUSI: Your yard sounds NICE after the work that was done!
JUNE: Most years I have found online free tax services to tap into. I used to do them all by hand, have to get them printed off and all the rest but it is much easier than it used to be! I am glad you managed to get the printer working! What do you use for bubble bath? I don't even know if they have it here or how much it owuld cost!
BEE: I had not heard of a lubber grasshopper-devil's horses. We have some nasty insects here and grasshoppers and locusts but no Lubber grasshoppers.
BECKY: Mounah makes "cages" for his plants using bamboo...they disintegrate eventually but as he grows the bamboo in the garden it is renewable. Interesting that someone would hold a mask up "sometimes" and not others...it seems it would not be very effective.
AUDREY: I heard that about the masks being unnecessary for fully vaccinated. I guess that those who catch it without being vaccinated will just have to deal if they catch the disease. Why would Laura's husband be dismissed from jury duty?
MJ: Your day SOUNDS wild! Glad you managed to get through it all!

My day is planned and tracked. Just finished coffee and will be hitting the pavement soon... It's nice that our gathering will be in their screen room and Mr. B was also invited. MJ that site has me drooling. Sounds like you had both a wild and fun day. Great that you got to bed earlier June thanks. Sometimes an unplanned day is the best day. I know you'll enjoy the given...a bubble bath
Bee climbing scales happen. I know that doesn't get you down! Cathy singing birds also make me feel at peace. Enjoy. I'm sure you'll find something to do which will put a smile on your face. Yes we are so looking forward to seeing our friends. Waving...and will CBL

Zoom meeting last night for finalizing details for our 50th class reunion. I was outvoted on the liquor package. I wanted a cash bar or just beer and wine. The others want a full package. It still comes in under $100 per person. I'm getting excited to see Jasmin and Torin on Sunday! It's been months!! I called to make Jack's appointment for his haircut. The earliest they have is July 2nd! The other place has no opening until June 30th and he doesn't know them. A third is not taking on new customers and 3 others are out of business. Who knew! Back for personals later.

MJ that site has me drooling. Ann, Toots & I had no idea how extensive their menu was! Now that we've been "once" we can plan ahead and not be overwhelmed by the abundance (abbondanza, LOL?).
