WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

1840 calories 996 exercise calories 124g protein 24g fiber
The new client session started out a little rocky. He mentioned when we met a month ago that he was a stickler for promptness. I am on time or early as a general rule, so no big deal. I had a break so I went to Costco and got back about 35 minutes before our scheduled time, which I had confirmed via email yesterday morning. I noticed he was walking in, but I putzed around in my car for about 15 minutes. I went in and asked if he was ready to work, and he said “well I was”. He then made mention about me running late, and after some discussion he checked his phone and realized his error. Gah. From there on in it went great. He’s super nice and easy to please as he likes basic, traditional exercises. I can do that in my sleep.
I have a half day of work, then I’m going to the bike trail that’s about 35 minutes away, a real treat for me.
Nancy, so glad things are ok, I was worried. I’ve also been drinking more Premier shakes. They work well when I’m on the go.
Lori, I heard about the bridge crack on the news yesterday morning. That’s crazy! Good luck settling back in today. I always say “re-entry is hard”. Someone told me that the million dollar giveaways are from federal Covid money.
Meg, 3 days on and a day off is better than 4 days off. Progress, not perfection.
Kathy, gardening is a lot of work. I didn’t realize you only bought the farm in 2018. Have you been in your house longer? I know you’ll get the extra 20 off. I agree with Nancy, checking in here daily helps keep me on track, even if it’s just a quick check in.

C115D19, 19 purple points, 1163 calories, 100 grams protein, 52 grams fiber, piano lesson and errands so no former exercise.
The calories haven't been so low by design. They just don't add up on this white diet and I'm eating more than you can imagine. Maybe WW should add white to their purple, green and blue plans <g>.
Jan - Great news about new client. How many sessions will you be doing with him each week? Do you have many male clients? If not, this may lead to others. Here's another book I'm enjoying "Mrs. Everything" by Jennifer Weiner. And don't forget "The Good Sister" by Sally Hepworth. And have you read anything by Kristin Hannah? A good friend just recommended her. I just downloaded "The Great Alone" on audio.

Crazy busy at work today but accomplished a lot. So glad I kept up with emails and was able to get some stuff done during car ride, otherwise, I’d still be at work. I was so distracted this morning trying to get out of the house on time, that I totally forgot today is DH’s Birthday. Stopped on the way home and picked up his favorite take out dinner and 2 slices of cheesecake. I am totally glad I tracked while on vacation! I got on the scale this morning and was thrilled to see only up 1.2 lbs. We ate pretty much ate twice a day and all meals from restaurants, the sweets I really had was some fudge and a banana nut muffin. I’ll figure out the average calories tomorrow.
Hi to All.....need to spend sometime with birthday boy.....

Lori - A very happy birthday to DH. 1.2 is nothing. I'm guessing you'll have 1/2 slice cheesecake tonight and the other half tomorrow night. Correct? So what was his favorite take out meal? Inquiring minds want to know <g>.
