Our trip to the dump yesterday worked out really well. One of the sanitation workers helped us to pitch the huge box of cardboard over the side of the 30-yd dumpster so we didn't have to do it all ourselves. While we were at the MousekeHouse, we had a long talk with them about some landscaping changes they want to make in their front yard. Weather permitting, we'll start taking out two more small evergreens tomorrow (we'll ask the Mice if they want to help). Among all four houses (the BigUns' and our own) looks like we'll have a full summer of yard work.
Today there's a YM drill at one of the local parks for physical fitness testing. Muster is at 0800 and we should be finished by 1330 (8 AM to 1:30 PM). Then we'll bring the Kressling back here to change into civvies and have some lunch, and then take him to Bayonne for a 16th birthday party for Nugget the dachshund (Ciocie Shell's pet).
Our evening will be spent doing Not Much 😂🤣😂
Coffee... ☕️☕️☕️... going to need a potful to start the day...
🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃🐛🦋🐛🍃

Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. Thanks for the start June. Bee hope to see you on the 'flip side' MJ nice that you and Toots got help in pitching the cardboard. Enjoy the YM drill and bday party for Nugget.
Enjoy your cooler temps Audrey.
We had a wonderful time last night. Mr. B was a huge hit We are going to get together again one day next week. I offered to host. It was a beautiful night. I was happy that the wind died down and we were all comfy with sweaters on. Nothing much on the agenda today. Waving and will CBL

Ann So very good to "hear" the "happy" in your posts about Mr. B and and the small gathering. LOL. . . I hope that you do not mind that I have given Benjamin a knickname. Audrey Your dinner sounds like it is right up my alley. In fact, I think I will put marinated flank steak on my menu soon. The yard and house work will keep you busy.
Bee Hope that you awoke to give witness to another sunrise and new day. Wanted to ask if the insect swarms stem from the climate and wetness associated w/ the Gulf coast? Other than the 17-year cicadas expected this year.
Mj Another busy day for you. Hope that the YM goes smoothly. Enjoy your time w/ Kressling. Good to keep busy and active. Nice to be an integral part of your family's projects.
Becky Were you and Kenneth able to get everything you needed for the weekend? Have you been able to go for walks with less foot and/or leg pain?

Sad day here. My friend's daughter passed late yesterday afternoon. My heart is just so heavy.
My wish for all of you is that you do not outlive your children.

(((Bee))) prayers going out to your dear friend and you on this sad day.
Like June, I've known and observed those losing a child.
Only children I've lost are pets.
There are no words just prayers.

LOL June...Mr. B Mr. meet and greet and Benny Ben and Benji all work. I can't believe last week at this time we were 'on the road' to pick him up! He's come a long way in a week and we feel so very blessed to have him in our family hearts and home. Not to mention everyone in our retirement community has their old schedule back watching us walk by I texted Stephanie last night as Benjamin has eye issues. When he was a puppy he had an ulcer in his eye and was operated on and they put a skin graft over it. I am going to ask our Vet is there is any drops or ointment we can use or do we just leave it alone.

Ann Maybe the vet will recommend OTC lubricating drops that you can buy. Very helpful that Stephanie can field health related questions.
So far it has been a pleasant Saturday. R has a fire going in his pit in the far back yard. (LOL-/Not to be confused w/ his fire pit behind the garage). Grass clippings & mud making an appearance in the house. But I figured that would happen as he works around the back piece of the property closest to the house. I will sweep later. Mopping is in the schedule for the Monday.

MJ, glad you had help getting rid of the huge box of cardboard. I hope the YM drill goes well. (((Bee))) I am so sorry for your friend's loss. Three of our neighbors and close friends have also lost their children and it is so difficult for all of them. Ann, I hope your vet can help with Benjamin's eye issues. June, I expect to sweep and mop every Monday morning. At least R is a hard worker.

June and Audrey I can so relate to mopping.

The dog groomer is coming on Wednesday to groom Lily Belle and Charlie. I posted yesterday how a drunk driver going 100 mph crashed through her house from the garage to the front on April 22nd. He ruined the things she uses for grooming as well as most of the house and it was his fourth DUI. He hit the railroad tracks and went airborne through her property. Bob said she should wash Lily Belle in the left side of the kitchen sink since it is the largest sink we have and then she can do the grooming in the garage. She will do Charlie at Peggy's house. For the past month she and her husband, daughter and pets have been in two hotel rooms waiting for insurance to secure a rental house. A lot of work needs to be done before her home is livable again.
