Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Got my hair cut yesterday. Wasn’t quite ready for for my summer cut, just got things trimmed and evened out.
Dottie - I’m going to look for flowers this week. I’ve had luck with ones I get at Home Depot of all places. Probably get petunias for the gravesite. I want something for my front yard too. Not sure if I want to plant in the ground, or just put a few containers on my steps. We’ll see.
They’re opening a new car wash close to me. Sent out flyers, I can get 2 months of free car washes. Perfect timing. Other cashier is taking advantage too. I was planning on signing up monthly anyway, this way I get 2 months free. Will still get an occasional detail at work.
Looks like the mask mandate is going to be lifted tomorrow in NY. I will still wear a mask when I go grocery shopping, but won’t need to at work. A few of us were talking about this yesterday and most feel ok with unmasking at work, but will wait and see how things go elsewhere. One of the things we all agreed on was how wearing a mask seemed to have prevented the flu season from being anything to report on. Even colds were almost non existent.
Nothing much else going on today.
Waving hi to everyone. Enjoy your day

Good morning all. Sorry I didn’t get here yesterday. I am doing more reading and less posting overall.
Joy, bet you are having fun with the new car. That car wash deal sounds great!! We need to get ours washed. We bought the wash last night but Stan will have to take it in to do it. This seems to be the time of year when everyone is getting haircuts. Mine was last Thursday I think.
Dottie, you just keep plugging away at the de-cluttering, like Joy does. I need to get some of your energy and get moving on it. Hope you find something great to move into soon. Housing markets are tough all over from what I’m hearing.
Martha, wish I could get my insurance to pay for massages. Maybe if my back gets any worse they will. The gal I’m going to is now in a chiropractor office, so they are set up for insurance payments. I should check into it. Hope you find someone you like that your insurance will pay for.
Yesterday we ran to the nursery and picked up some herbs to use in our summer dishes. I previously picked up a hanging basket there. We get lots of fresh veggies there in the summer. Nice local family run business. We left there and went to DS’s where Stan mowed their lawn. It’s a little steep in the front and really hard for DS to do with his back/shoulder issues. Stan doesn’t mind mowing and it’s something he can do to help (other than playing with Mara)!!
Not much else going on here. Need to get going on more housework. And we may hit a furniture store or two today as we can’t decide if we want a coffee table / ottoman / or just side tables to go with the new couch.
Late hockey game tonight. I’ll check back later today! Have a good one all.

Joyce, I bought my flowers at Lowe’s, I need a few more plants but will wait a few days to see if they get anything new in. All of my flowers are in planters, so much easier on me than planting them in the ground.
Martha, that is great that you can get your massage covered by your insurance. My insurance doesn’t cover that, although it does cover a lot of things.
Ruth, has you DS heard anything more about his weight loss surgery? I know the process is quite lengthy to get thru. You mentioned last week that you are reading a new author, what is the author’s name? Hope you find what you want to go with your new furniture.
Bill and I both feel we have made great progress with the decluttering, not finished, but things look much better. We can’t believe how much paperwork is involved with our HELOC (home equity line of credit. We already have a HELOC, which we only used when we bought our condo in Florida in 2009, and it has been paid off since the end of 2012. We just want to increase the amount but they are treating it like a new mortgage and want a lot of paperwork. I guess because we were both still working in 2009 they just wanted our last 2 pay stubs, and tax return from the previous year. I think we have everything together now and Bill will scan it all and send it in to them.

Check under complimentary or integrative medicine. I didn't know about it for about 6 yrs.
Grabbing quick lunch.
