This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

T.G.I.F... Yes, ready for Friday!! Feels like it's been a long week. I am adjusting my med - down, by 1/2 pill, and think it might be what I need! I was doing good, feeling good... then after a few days on the 1 1/2 pill dose, I was Just.So.Tired. - so last night I went back down to just 1 pill - we'll see.!
So glad I took yesterday off. I got a few texts asking a couple of things - but that's OK - I didn't want to leave them high and dry!! I did enjoy the beautiful weather - got a few chores done - and went through some boxes of old books! I mean VERY OLD BOOKS - they came from my Grandfather's house, when my aunt was selling everything in the house! Anyway, some were my Dad's books, some are not inscribed - but they are all from the 30s & 40's! For some reason, I seem to have trouble throwing books in a dumpster! UGH! So I still have several boxes of old books! I did contact a local "old" bookstore, but haven't heard back, wondering if he'd be interested in them?
Oh I DID FIND my Gramma's diary from the year I was born. When she was getting rid of everything, my aunt asked if we wanted them. So my sisters' and I all took the one from our birth year. I only wish NOW, that I had taken every.single.one of them! I know more stuff to have hanging around - but it would be fun to look back now at Gramma's entries for when she was babysitting me all those times! So I did enjoy some down time yesterday - just reading that diary!
We got pizza for dinner - no cooking - so WI today may not be the best, but oh well, it's just a number on the scale!

Sue: YAY for the warm weather! We are supposed to be warm this weekend, but chances of rain! Chances are very low tomorrow, so I think we will still head to the zoo.
Ugh, sorry you are back to destroyals today. Glad it hasn't been too bad on your back, take care today!
Oh anything I send to the tag sale will just be little stuff. Only a couple of baby things that "might" bring in a little more $, but not a lot! I just want it gone! Actually Tracy did say she might take pictures and post, and make one day a meet up day - at the PD when she gets out of work. We'll see. We still have one stroller, a swing, a plaything they used to sit in, a walker, a toddler bed... we'll see.
So, back to work today. Have to pick up my new PC they updated for me to work from home. No more little black box, today I bring home a tower! I have my salad ready to go, but need to portion out some fruit, and salad dressing. Dress down today, so jean capris it is! YAY!
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Oh, Friday at last!! A kind of long day today, but so manageable when I know that the day off is on the horizon! I have to do a brief presentation today too--will be glad when that is over...I am not a fan of presenting on Zoom. I am read for some in-person meetings. It is sunny but 42 degrees this morning so the cold streak continues...hopefully the snow is holding off in the mountains as that is where we are supposed to run tomorrow. It think it will be fine.
Carole: Wow, sounds like you got a lot done yesterday! Good for you for taking the time to do that. I hope that decreasing the meds helps too (I am not sure what med it is, but hope that it helps!). Wow, that would be SO fun reading through the diaries from your grandmother! My grandmother didn't keep a diary, but kept logs for about 40 years all about the weather every single day....and I don't know why we didn't consider keeping the books --there were not a lot of them and they didn't take a lot of space. Heck, I would love to just see her writing! I haven't seen it for a long time. I am the same about books---even paperbacks. I struggle throwing them away. I am the same way with dishes. So the pool is open...how long do you think it will take for it to warm up enough for the girls? June sometime? Thanks for the snack suggestions---I agree, almonds are just not worth it for how few I would have. I might add some cucumber to the cottage cheese. I love the celery idea for lunch though---I will mix up some tuna and have it with celery. I always have 4 oz of lean protein with my lunch too. I think that I just have not had a lot of calories by the time I finish lunch so I get hungry quickly. Hope that you have a good day today!
Sue: Yay for no destroyals again! It sounds though like you are doing a great job being cautious as it is...good to hear! None of those evenings with a heating pad in the recliner! From what you have described, I am thinking that you will for sure be able to maintain the 6 feet of distance your workplace is requiring to not wear a mask? What great news for you! So happy for you! We are still hanging on here...most are thinking that it will be June 15th (the date the governor stated a couple of months ago). We'll see. Hope that you have a good day today! By the way, the cottage cheese was a good snack...crunchy will be a good addition to that (as Carole said- celery or cucumber).

Good Morning and Happy Friday everyone
Oh Carole don't throw those books away with out checking to see if they are first editions, if they are they may be worth some money, DH taught me this cause he has a few antique spots in town and sells old books if they are first editions, just thought I'd pass that information along in case. That is really neat that you have a journal from your Grandma, I'm with Gabrielle just to see the writing and the penmanship they used to use. The zoo sounds like fun for the girls to go see all the animals. I'm glad your enjoying your weather your getting. We are cool in the AM about 40's or so and only into the 60's with a little rain and clouds for this week and next week. I think this weekend will be a movie weekend since it's not going to be nice.
Sue that's nice Sheridan is lifting some what the mask wearing. I think the CDC sent out some bad messages and caused a lot of confusion for business's around here. On Sunday last week I witnessed a lady being really rude in the grocery store to a worker that asked her to wear a mask in the store because it was store policy still, I tell you people are mean about this mask wearing, there's no reason to take it out on a worker just trying to do their job. Sorry to hear your relationship with Sarah is still a little strained, but at least the boy's miss you and gave you lots of love and you got to celebrate another birthday party.
Gabrielle have a good day in your meetings and yes TGIF and we get some day's off, I know next weekend I took and extra day off so I have a 4 day weekend instead of a 3 day for Memorial day, but they are having me work in Corvallis all next week from M-Thurs, I don't mind going to Corvallis but it's really boring and there's lot of eyeballs watching every move you make so it's no fun down there, they want you to work all the time but in my job it depends on the trucks and customer's coming in so we end up sitting a lot which makes some of the office staff mad because your just sitting there, but that's my job I can't help it if there's no business.
Karen I love the picture of Miss Elinore, she's so cute and glad to hear Mom and Dad are doing well too.
OK I need to get going for now I hope everyone has a great weekend
Jenny
