Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
It’s one of those lazy mornings, I just don’t want to get out of bed - too comfy. New AC is working great. I don’t keep it cold, just cool enough.
Ruth - yes, I am really enjoying Lucy. I’m so glad they were able to locate her for me and I thank sales manager and sales guy a lot. As far as planting in the cemetery, most of the local ones allow planting flowers. Some have “rules” as to how far from headstone you can plant. There is enough room to mow without damaging flowers. I’ll go there every once in a while to trim any grass they might have missed and to weed. In all honesty, I take better care of the gravesite than my own garden. Hope Mara is feeling better.
I totally understand your continuing to wear masks to protect Mara. Most of the parents of small children are wearing masks for the same reason. And one of the advisors said he didn’t think it was right for him to stop wearing masks when his twins had to wear them. Me, I only had to wear one at Home Depot, everywhere else lifted their requirements. It’s about 50/50 in the stores. And it was so nice to see the servers smile in my favorite restaurant. I use carry a mask in my car, just in case.
Picked up some foundation and blush at Target yesterday. I haven’t worn makeup in over a year, time to get back to that.
Dottie - you have been quite busy lately. Time for you to do a bit of relaxing.
Martha - what’s on your menu for the weekend. I always enjoy reading your meal plans.
It’s been a wonderful rain free week. That will change on Sunday. I didn’t buy the flowers yesterday, Home Depot was just too busy hen I got there. I did see what I want and will go there after work. I’m getting bright pink petunias for the gravesite. There are so many nice larger containers of flowers, I’ll pick a few up for home too. They have a good selection.
Allie is finished with school for the semester. She’s not interested in picking up extra hours, so I will continue to work on Fridays. Boss just asked if I’m sure it’s still ok, yep! It doesn’t seem to bother me, I’d probably just be lounging around at home.
Coffee is calling. Enjoy your day

Good morning! Sounds like Mara is all better so we’ll pick her up some time this morning or around lunch time. She just has to be gone from there before about 1:00 so DS can get ready for his zoom counseling session!
Was up a little late last night watching Wild playoff hockey. They lost to the Golden Knights. They are down 2-1 in the 7 game series. But they looked good for the most part. Even tho it was a home game, it didn’t start until about 8:45 pm! Then I couldn’t get to sleep so got up and read for about an hour and then back to bed and slept pretty well.
I think it rained overnight. They said we might get storms, but if it stormed overnight, I did not hear it. It did rain some. It’s to rain off and on today and to be warm! They are talking 90 and muggy tomorrow so I see the AC being added tonight probably! And it’s not supposed to rain tomorrow until evening so will get out the kiddie pool and Mara’s water table and let her have some fun! Gotta check on my sunblock and make sure it’s still ok for her.
I got all the 4/4T clothes I had left over from H/S washed up yesterday. Now to spread them out on the dining room table; match up pj’s, outfits, and divide them between her house and here. Won’t have to buy her much. I did hit a couple garage sales Wed. Night and found her a brand new pair of tennis shoes for $5 in the size she’s just going into. She doesn’t have tennis shoes here because she’s outgrown them, so this is good.
I’m actually looking forward to seeing the dr to figure out what’s going on. I keep blaming it on the extra weight and my body finally rebelling; but who knows! Just praying it’s nothing serious like my heart or lungs. But it will be good to figure it out and take steps to get better.
Need to get moving. All have a great day. Will check in later.

Joyce, glad to hear you are enjoying Lucy, it seems to be a perfect fit for you. Good to hear you will still be able to work the extra hours on Friday and the extra time doesn’t bother you. I haven’t worn make-up in over a year also except for eyebrows and a little mascara. Both my eyebrows and eyelashes are so light that without a little color in both places I look very pale.
Ruth, hope your team does better in the next game. Is it a 5 or 7 game series? It’s good to hear that Mara is feeling better. Did DS and DIL figure out what the problem was? It’s nice that it is warm enough for her to be outside playing in water. Little kids always enjoy that.
Waving to Martha. Any big plans for your weekend?
It was very cool here this morning, in the 40s but already in the low 70s. Last night we had the window open in the master bath but when I got up I closed it so the bathroom could warm up a little for my shower. I went and bought a few more plants for my garden. I will finish planting them later. Bill had an appointment with his dermatologist. The doctor thinks he has another basal cell on his back but will wait till his next visit to biopsy it. He has had quite a few basal cells on his face and back and still doesn’t wear a hat or use sun screen, UGH!!!
