This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Morning ladies...HappyTuesday!!! It's your day...Take Charge and run!!! You ARE in control or most everything today....if not totally in charge of something at work, you are at least in charge of how you react to it and how it makes you feel....if you are not in charge of the menu for the day, you are at least in charge of how much you eat of what is served. While many things seem "out of our control", how we react and let it shape our day and our minds is in our hands....
Take Charge of YOU today!!
Pretty much came home shortly after 8:40 last night and dropped in the recliner for a few minutes and was "out like a light"! Jason will be making the 1st sweet potato rows of the season so will be able to catch up tonight!!
See you then...

Good morning Sue ☼ Thanks for starting us off this morning - TAKE CHARGE TUESDAY! That I can DO! I should be home alone today, so I WILL be in charge of my own day! I did OK yesterday, with moving - not great, today will be better, but did OK! Tracy won't be home for dinner, so Ken & I will have leftovers - so nothing to worry about there! LOL I will have to walk down to the fire station at some point today/tonight for town elections, but I can figure that out as the day goes! I will most likely go on my lunch hour, but it may wait until after work - we'll see. Oh and I don't HAVE to walk, but it's just down on Main Street, so it would be silly to drive!
I need to grab some coffee, then head back to Sunday to catch up ♥

Gabrielle: Ugh don't ya' hate when technology drops on you like that? Thankfully my work PC allowed me to keep postponing the updates until the end of my work day! Yes, it kept giving me the message ALL DAY LONG, which is strange since it's a brand new (rebuilt) PC! Anyway, sorry you lost your post, and took so long to reboot. Good for you going out to help paint footsteps for Ed's run. Hoping you get your work-work DONE so you can totally enjoy the long weekend ahead!
Jenny: How nice, a day trip planned for the weekend! LOL Around here all of our local schools graduate early June - never in May. I remember when Tracy was in 6th grade, her last day was like June 24th. I only know that because she went to school for her last day, the day after my Mom passed.
Yummm, can't wait for fresh strawberries here! Another few weeks for us I'm afraid!
Sue: We have the same crazy weather! Yesterday we were only in the 60s but should hit 80 by the end of the week, then back down again.

Well as expected, there were some glitches in my (new) PC set-up! The funny thing is, I didn't let it get to me! I know, as hard as it is to believe, it didn't frustrate me or make me angry! I was frustrated (a little) as the day went along, and it will be a long week - because, this PC doesn't allow me to use both my monitors! UGH! I contacted IT, but this is not a priority for them... several have only had 1 monitor this whole time working from home, I was one of the "lucky ones"! LOL Yeah, well I am NOT "lucky" any longer I guess!
So, it adds another layer of complication - since I can't print at home either! Whatever, I will make it work - have to, but MAN it isn't "easy"! they have some new monitors on order, but I don't think it's the monitor, I think it's the OC - but hey, what do I know?? I don't work in IT! LOL Anyway, I truly believe this med is helping my moods, or something like this would have made me pretty angry! This time, Eh', it is what it is!
I think Zoë wore Grampa out yesterday! LOL She had him playing games, and playing restaurant, and hide-N-Seek. She is SO MUCH FUN to have around! She was in a silly mood for most of the day, just laughing and enjoying her time with Grampa ♥
Gabrielle: Well glad you enjoyed the painting Saturday, but yeah, I too would be looking forward to this being over! You have so much going on without adding being a shuttle driver on top of it all! {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Tracy had a good time with Bob's family. She met his father and his sister, and her 4 kids. His mother passed away some time ago. He is thinking about coming here Sunday - for Jaclyn's BD - his main concern is he is not fully vaccinated, Sunday will only be 8 days since his 2nd shot this past Saturday afternoon.
Oh Hun - there is absolutely NOTHING "wrong" with YOU! Cut yourself some slack... you have a LOT on your plate right now, so tracking is the one thing that isn't a HAVE TO DO to get through the day!!! I do find MyNetDiary, easy to track if you eat the same basic meal. You can copy from yesterday. {{{hugs}}} Then you just have to add/delete things here and there. Hey - I say get those ribs for July 4th... after the June run, MAYBE DH will enjoy a meaty meal??
Sue: Here too - I had a sweatshirt on all day yesterday! I went out to sit in the sun here and there - when it was shining - which wasn't very often! Zoë wanted to sim! LOL

So, a lot of work-work today. I am actually covering for some of Debbie's ACH stuff this week. Apparently Deb has not been fully trained, so I stepped up, and offered. It's actually easier to just do it - than try to help her from here! LOL So by helping out with that yesterday, it cut into my own work - but it's all good. I have plenty of time to get my stuff done!
OK Time to get moving here. I want to log in a little early, since I have to get out early tomorrow for injections! I really need to get on the week I am actually IN Greenfield! LOL June... since 4 weeks from tomorrow I will be packing and getting ready to fly to TX (on Thursday) I will move my appointment up to 3 weeks instead of 4. That should put me at the office that week! I think we will grab mani-pedis tomorrow after my injections! ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Heading out to our run soon...I am still sore, but it is the kind of sore that can usually work itself out if I start slowly to warm up. It is so warm now (59 degrees at this early hour) so the run will feel good in the fresh air. I had a pretty good work day yesterday but got home late after doing some grocery shopping (didn't do it this weekend with all of DH's events). I feel kind of disorganized--nothing as planned as I like meal-wise. I did get salad things for lunch though. It will be fine---I only need to make it for two more days and should be grateful for that.
Sue: Sounds like you were tired but a "good tired" after seeing friends and painting. It will be nice, I am sure, to be home tonight though and have some down time. Have a good day --- thank you for starting us off and reminding us that we decide how we react to things!
Carole: I love hearing that the meds are seeming to make noticable differences for you--nice! I would miss my two monitors too--especially for the work that you do. When I try to snap my screen over on my laptop, it is SO much smaller and harder to see! Isn't it exciting to be thinking of a trip in 4 weeks? I bet it will pass quickly---and what a great chance to get away. I love that Bob is being cautious...he is so close to being fully covered by the vaccine---I just look forward to hearing what you think of him! Wow, it sounded like such a fun time with Zoe! Lucky grandpa! I hope that you have a good day--thank you for thinking of me---it really is hard right now, but I will get over it---I think that 18 months of this is finally getting to me as it gets more demanding!
Hello to all who follow. I am going to get ready to go and get this day started. Hope that you all have a great day!

Good morning all
Just popping in to say hello. I got to Corvallis yesterday and found out I'm training someone. I hate training people it makes for a long day and with all this rain we are having, we are even slower than usual, so it's going to make for a long week but at least it's only a 4 day week for me but I will somehow get through it.
OK gotta run have a great day
Jenny

Hello again
I had a slight detour to work and got a text while I was on the freeway to Corvallis to head to the Elk Plant and work. I was like YES, no boring day today so that made my day, it was kind of a long commute but I got to see the little town of Corvallis, I have only been to the college or work, but never downtown, I thought it was bigger seeing as it is a college town. It's a cute little place lots of bars. It was really raining hard on me this morning but we need it as on Sunday were going to be up into the low 90's, uggg, I need to start watering on Saturday as it won't take to long for the sun to soak up all this rain this week. Oh I found a little Inn called Wolf Creek Inn in Wolf Creek Oregon that I want to stay at. It's in Southern Oregon and back in the day's it was a gold mining town and the Inn has some really neat things to go and do, but Kerry is scared of staying in a haunted Inn, I mean seriously!!!! He said he's sleeping in the pick up, I said fine I'm staying in the room and be more comfortable, he is so funny. Were thinking of going when I have a vacation at the first part of July.
Gabrielle glad you enjoyed your run, the picture looked so pretty but it did look like it was steep up in there. Glad you got to paint the rocks or see the rocks. The weekends always get away from me as well it's just not long enough. I would be sore to if I ran as far as you all did this weekend, yes ease into the morning runs this week, I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend, but man it's going to be hot.
Sue glad you had a great time painting with friends, I'm so happy Gloria is coming back to work with you. Does that mean you don't have to put up with Tonya? Lets hope so so happy you had a nice relaxing Sunday and you have to give me the recipe for the Rubarb sauce, it's sound so good, I love Rubarb.
Carole sounds like Tracy and Bob are getting along pretty good. I do hope you get to meet him soon. Oh by the way one of the movies I watched was "The Judge" this weekend and found out it filmed not to far from you. It was sure beautiful scenery, is that a real waterfall and if it is what a great place to have a restaurant. I really enjoyed the move as I love Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall such a long movie but it was pretty good. I also watched August/Osage county with Merrill Streep and Julia Roberts now that was a really good movie but very sad at the end.
OK need to run for now Jenny
