Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon. I hope everyone is having a good day.
I have had a productive day so far. I cleaned 2 of the bathrooms, dusted and swiftered 2 bedrooms, the hallway upstairs and the steps. I also vacuumed the other 2 bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have hardwood floors, actually all the floors are hardwood except for the kitchen and bathrooms, but in the master bedroom and guest room we have carpeting. I feel the hardwood floors are easier to take care of but Bill really likes carpeting in the bedrooms. DS#2 also stopped by to take more of his stuff, yea!!!. We had some rain last night so no need to water the garden or plants today, that is a time saver. Hope everyone is doing okay.

(((HUGS))) Slept in again this morning. Late for work too! Today is cloudy/rainy. Tomorrow thru next Weds, it will be in the 80's to 90's. (we prefer the mid-lower 80's) Groc shopping will be stuff I'm nearly out to out of. Hoping to get done early. Yesterday was not a good work day. I was pulling my hair out by end of day. I'm doing much better today.
Now to find something to eat for lunch.....

Good evening all. Sorry I didn’t get here yesterday. I DID get in a 1 mile walk yesterday! Stan said he was going to take Maggie for a walk and asked if there was a chance I’d like to go with. I thought about it and decided that I would. I told him I would walk slowly and he could walk with me or go faster with Maggie. I said I’d go as far as I could and he could go on w/o me and I’d head back or we’d see how far I got. I was able to do the entire mile around our development. My left hip hurt some when we finished and I iced it and my lower back when we got home. I decided that since I can’t get into therapy until mid-July or so; and the doctor said walking wouldn’t hurt my back at all; I needed to take control and try to start walking when possible. My left knee hurt some too; but didn’t stop me at all. I’m looking online and thru younger DD’s running group for exercises to start working on to strengthen my back before I start pt. Some are done kneeling and that’s an issue with my knees, but if I have to, I’ll do some on our bed. The x-rays showed lots of arthritis as expected, and if I read the description right, one vertebrae is trying to slide down in front of another?! So nothing requiring anything but PT right now. That’s all good. The clinic helped a lot with my upper back so I’m hoping they can do as well for my lower back.
Our hockey team won last night’s game against the Golden Knights 3-0; and forced game 7 tomorrow night. Went to bed, went to sleep, woke up about 1:00 and could not go back to sleep. Got up about 2:30, went back to reading my book because I was not the least bit sleepy; next thing I knew it was 5:30 and I finished my book. Off to bed; got about 3-1/2 hrs of sleep. Tired tonight! Early bedtime! Looking forward to tomorrow night’s game.
Stan and I worked together this afternoon and put together 2 black garbage bags of toys and clothing and a few other things; and a small box of books for tomorrow’s charity pick up. I had to cancel a couple weeks ago so I really wanted to get stuff out for tomorrow.
Rained overnight last night and all day today. I got to have lunch with my friend who is full time RV’ing. They are in MN for a couple weeks to spend time with family and friends. They will go to their oldest DGS’s high school graduation on the 11th; then on the 13th they are heading to Maine to be campground hosts for the summer. I saw her for a few minutes last fall and didn’t get to see her at Christmas because of them being exposed to covid, so was wonderful to see her in person and catch up. We text quite a bit, but not the same.
Dottie, you asked about the authors I’m reading. One is Kathleen Brooks, her series that I enjoy the most is Bluegrass (probably 25 books). And the other author I’m currently reading is Marie Force. I especially enjoy her Gansett Island series. Some of her books do get “R” rated on occasion, so be warned.
Tomorrow I need to pick up free books from a couple people. I think I’ve mentioned the gal in LaCrosse who has the bicycle library who goes to parks, housing developments, community events and passes out kids’ books. Since it’s garage sale season, I posted on my FB sites that I would be willing to pick up any leftover kids books and showed them all her website. So I’m going to have a good selection of books the next time we go to LaCrosse if everyone who has responded actually donates! I’ve gotten 2 already; 2 tomorrow; and more to come.
ok, going to finish up a few things and I’m seeing an early bedtime tonight. More tomorrow! Waving to Joy & Martha!
