Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Joyce and Martha, hope you are both having a good day. Our weather is beautiful today but more rain is predicted for tomorrow.
Ruth, I hope the gabapentin works for Stan. I have heard and read things both for and against the drug. I think each persons’ body reacts differently to any med. I hope this works for Stan. I do not have the energy I wish I had but on good days I can accomplish some things, other days just the bare minimum. Enjoy your dinner with your RVing friend. I’m sure you will. Are you still thinking of moving? Here the housing market is still crazy. Some buyers are foregoing the home inspection just so they can get a house.
I have a hair appointment this afternoon. I plan on having it cut shorter than I have been wearing it. I am still losing so much hair but my dermatologist isn’t all that concerned because I am growing new hair. After I vacuum the dust cup has a lot of my hair in it – UGH!!! As far as finding a new place there is still nothing for us to look at. Tomorrow morning the appraiser comes for our house so we can close on the HELOC (home equity line of credit) in another week or 2. This was much slower than we thought it would be but the credit union said that the amount of refinancing and new mortgages they are dealing with is causing the delay.

Good afternoon all,
You know, work just isn’t work if there’s no drama. Yesterday the boss was hot and was complaining. She noticed the thermostat was set to off and apparently got angry and asked who shut it off. Then she called the maintenance guy and had him put an acrylic box over the thermostat with a lock. Now only the boss can control the temperatures for the entire office. We were all wearing sweaters, I put on coworkers jacket. It was way too cold. She acted so childish. Instead of discussing, she just decided to take control. If she keeps the temps like this , I’ll be wearing my winter sweaters on Saturdays when there is no one in the office to absorb the cold. I have nice cardigans, but I’m taking my Disney hoodie to wear if it’s still cold. I have a lot of hoodies to choose from.
Anyway ...
Dottie - I lost a lot of hair when I started meds for my thyroid. I was cleaning out the shroom in the bathtub daily and I was worried. That was also when I was trying to grow my hair a bit longer, but it was getting to thin. That’s one of the reasons I keep it fairly short now. The hair loss has slowed down but it’s still more than I’d like.
Ruth - I hope the meds help Stan with his restless legs. I get leg cramps at least once a week, but fortunately that resolves quickly with acv and water.
Martha - hoping all is well.
We were supposed to get some rain today, but it’s bright , sunny, not a cloud in sight. In the 70s the rest of this week, 80s next week.
Enjoy your day

(((hugs))) It was 90+ yesterday. Currently 80 at 12:40 pacific time. I closed the window to help keep inside as cool as can. Thank goodness DH turned on a/c in bedroom early.
I cut my hair over the weekend. Wasn't planned, just got tooo hot. Guessing 2.5-3 inches cut off. Can still be put in barrette, with 2 inches sticking out. I hear ya on losing too much hair. I sweep/vacuum and shortly there after, it looks like I didn't.
Joy - That stinks about the bossy thermostat. I'd be grouchy as I seem to get chilled easier than others. Not a happy camper!! Maybe bring in something that covers you almost from head to toe. Dottie - Maybe check with hairdresser to see what he/she thinks. Ruth - Hope your time with RVing friend was good. I'm sure it was good to be able to hug. Hope the rx helps Stan with restless legs.
Off to find a quick bite before heading back to work.
(((HUGS)))

Good evening all. Beautiful weather day here today. Martha, we are to get your 90’s starting Friday. Supposed to be a really hot weekend. Thank goodness for central AC!!!
Joy, there’s always one in every office it seems. Your boss is too young for hot flashes isn’t she? If everyone gets too cold they need to go over her head!!! There are things she can make unilateral decisions on; other things need to be group decisions, and heat/cold is one of those, IMHO!!!!
Took Mara home around lunch time. We got her there much later than we’d planned on and some of that was because Stan didn’t sleep well last night, hence I didn’t either; so we were moving slower. I let him sleep late this morning and then didn’t get Mara up so it stayed quiet for Stan to sleep. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. She was happy to see daddy for sure! DIL is leaving tomorrow to drive clear to WV or someplace down that way for some kind of a trail run thing. I don’t understand it, but not my issue! Not sure the drive that far alone is a good idea! We will get Mara back about 12:30 or so on Friday for the weekend. Then we won’t have her next week so we can get things done here and get ready for our trip to Indiana. Can’t believe that is here already. Was almost 6 mo and now it’s here!
Enjoyed our dinner with our RV’ing friends a lot. They used to live about 10 miles from us; spent the winter in Rockport, TX. They are leaving the 13th of this month for the summer in Maine. They will be campground hosts and get to do a little sight seeing in Maine. Would love to fly out there and visit them. I’ve never been there. They are here until her oldest DGS graduates on Friday the 11th.
Tomorrow I’m going to the hand doctor. Our younger DD has gone to him since she was 16 (she’s now almost 43); and he’s done 7 surgeries on her left wrist. He did my carpal tunnel surgery a few years ago. I was not happy with the hand people at our clinic. They did the cortisone shots for my trigger finger and the 2nd one made things even worse! So rather than go back to that clinic, I’m going with a doctor I know and trust!!! He’s a hand/shoulder specialist. He’s who other doctors go to when they have hand issues!!
Ok, going to do a little cleaning tonight. Will let you know what the hand doctor says tomorrow. I’m looking forward to finding out how much arthritis is in both my hands.
Have a good Thursday all.
