This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

THINK FIRST THURSDAY... Think about what you are doing/eating/drinking - and how it will affect your overall journey. I know I need to think more about moving... 8 out of 10 dots yesterday, but not a lot of overall steps for the day. I need to THINK about my longer loops every hour. I also need to think about a walk during my break - instead of sitting in the sunshine!
We will get chicken in the crock pot for dinner tonight - with simple potatoes, veggies, maybe a side salad. My lunch and snacks are ready to grab and go - but I need to add something for a later in the day snack. Between being tired and bored by 3"00 PM I want a snack! Emily had candy yesterday - good thing it was something I don't care for! LOL
I slept later this morning - so let's see if I can catch up on yesterday.

Sue: WOW, even earlier OT for you this week?? Good luck!
Gabrielle: UGH I am so tired of our internet here! Seems it is getting worse each day! Still "waiting" for the broadband to get hooked up! We are supposed to be hooked up in June - as a "Beta Household", still waiting. LOL I know it's only June 3rd! Wishing it would be today or tomorrow, but they haven't scheduled a home visit yet to do the box and connect it! Maybe next week - while I am working from home? THAT would be the best test of all!!
Oh My - I want it to warm up here, but not sure 103 would be my wish. I do enjoy the 90s (most of the time). We are "up to" 58 this morning! MUCH better than the lower 40s.
WOW a 3 hour dinner, and DH STILL has questions?? Sounds very complicated - getting it all worked out for this run! What will DH be needing from you at the aide stations? Just support? So you are not only a supporter at the aide stations but a pace runner as well??
Oh - as for Bob... I knew most of that info from Tracy prior to meeting him. We just asked pretty much the same questions, just to keep the conversation going! His Dad is leaving this week for a trip to TX. To visit friends he made while stationed there. He has no return date - so won't be meeting him any time soon! LOL It's OK, I am not up for that right now anyway. Apparently I didn't make a great impression on Bob
Wishing you good luck on all of your annual tests and appointments. Yes, so much going on this month - but hey, the good news is by July, MAYBE you can have some days Just.For.You.!
Sue: WOO HOO for Gloria being back - and Tonya being OFF

OK - THINK FIRST THURSDAY... What can you THINK about before doing today?? Like I said - I need to think about moving more during the day. Unsure of the weather today - looks gray and dismal out there, but warming up. Seems we can't have both - sun and warmth?
Time to get my day going... ♥hugs♥

Morning Carole and all to come...yes, another earlier morning for OT....did leave at 4:00 yesterday but back in at 4:57am today!!
Tonya got here 40 minutes ago and has done NOTHING so far!! She has been on her phone scrolling FB, talked to all 3 of her kids already solving the latest "crisis"!! UGH!! I am so ready for 2 days w/o her and having Gloria back for good!!
Did get a chance to read the last several days but brain is mush so no personals....fell asleep ready yesterday's posts! LOL, gotta love long days and less than a full nights sleep...while the hours are short overnight, I am still get mid to upper 80's from FitBit! Got 84% last night!!
It's looking like even with the extra hours during the week, I will likely still be in here on Saturday for a few hours! Oh well, it is what it is!
Waves & hugs to all!!

Good morning!
Leaving in a bit for the Thursday run...DH is joining me today as the coach wants him doing some of the speed work. It's good to have his company for the drive. It is 75 degress at 3:55 am....yep, another hot day ahead. I need to go back and track yesterday...my breakfast and lunch is very routine so I mostly need to figure out the dinner part and it will be pretty straightforward.
Carole: I hope that you can get a walk outside in the sunshine today to get those steps and enjoy the outdoors! What do you mean that you didn't make that much of an impression on Bob??? Did Tracy say that? Well, then he simply hasn't been around you enough! Yes, the next week would be perfect for the braodband set up...hope that you have it then! I would love it. Yes, the run is VERY complicated-- a lot of logistics. I am setting up a Zoom next week for the 3 who are helping me crew and the two other pacers to keep everyone in the loop. I have a running list that I always have with me of things to remember and set up...this weekend I hope to get a "playbook" going so that I have things written down. Yes, I am crewing and pacing. After I crew him at mile 76, I won't see him again until mile 90 when I pace him into the finish. That will be at about 4 in the morning so hope to get a few hours of sleep before I have to run with him. I will have been out there for nearly 24 hours (it starts at 5:00 am on Saturday). I hope to catch a couple of shorter naps before that--this is not how I usually sleep so it will be interesting! Hope that you have a good day today!
Sue: Oh, so glad that Gloria is coming back. Hope that your sleep stays in a good range with all ofthe work you are doing!
Okay, time to go. I do not have a dinner planned right now....maybe a tofu stirfry. I am glad that tomorrow is Friday! Hope that you all have a good day!

Good Morning everyone
I'm off today for a doctors appt, my annual skin check with the dermatologist, she said I was good to go for another year, there was a rash on my face around my chin that's I needed some medication for so I need to go get that in a bit. It was so hot this week up here, right below the 100 degree mark, UGGGG. Audrey has her Senior Spotlight award ceremony tonight at 7:00 pm so we are going to that tonight. My parents really enjoyed themselves at the beach, I watched my BIL fly his kite and now I want a kite to go fly at the beach, his was a two string and I only want a one string to start out, but it looks like so much fun. We bought Audrey a kite when she was little and we had a great time flying it on the beach.
Carole what do mean Bob wasn't to impressed with you? Seems as he's a little shy maybe? Hopefully if the relationship continues that he will open up and feel more comfortable around the family. Yes, there's a lot of you but your all fun people to be around, I hope it works out for them. Yes, at first I felt a little naked without my mask at work but it's totally normal for me now when I'm around people. Other's at work will always have to wear them until 70% of US is vacinated, so by not getting a shot cause you don't believe that this is real which I know lot's of people that think it's all political. I think it's funny they still have to wear a mask , cause I don't.
Sue Yeh to no Tonia for 2 day's, she sounds worthless as a worker. Glad Gloria is back with you guys to help. I know all those hours are physically and mentally draining. Has DS Kris gotten over her blame on you for her problems yet? The whole ordeal sound like to me as cop out so she won't have to deal with her own crap, it's easier to blame others. Sorry you have to deal with it.
Gabrielle this up coming run for Ed sounds like it's going to be really hard, and have to mentally prepare for, glad you can help him out while he does this. Are you off this week for vacation? We had our first fire of the year yesterday in the Columbia River Gorge in The Dalles, and yes it was started by humans, so here we go for fire season .
Shelly sorry to hear about your son who's also going through a divorce, have they tried counciling yet? Yes, she should of said something before he switched jobs, that's not fair now he's stuck with a job he doesn't like, I hope they can reconsider and work things out.
Ok need to run have a great day everyone
Jenny
