Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Coworker moved into her new apartment over the long weekend. I have a new set of cookware for her, just put it in my car. It’s a 10pc set of Cuisinart stainless cookware, she’ll probably have it for life. I know she’s been looking for a new job (nothing to do with office drama, she’s just a go getter). She doesn’t do a lot of cooking, I told her to find a good YouTube series on cooking to help her learn. She’s the gal that’s going out with one of the detail guys. They seem to be doing well, I hope it lasts. They are both sweet kids.
Boss had a meeting yesterday, called us a bunch of kindergarteners - very unprofessional. The rest of the meeting was about the state of the dealership and letting us know she might have to cut hours, nothing we didn’t already know. I got a bit upset because she still didn’t address any issues with the new girl, but I’m over it. Not worth carrying that around in my head. And I did need to wear my hoodie yesterday. Boss is too young for menopause, but she does take meds that might cause her to be extra warm.
Today I’m getting the estimate for my driveway. I’m sure with the cost of everything else going up I won’t be able to afford it. I will ask if there is any chance to just get a section done this year. We’ll see.
Trash pickup delayed until tomorrow. I’ll check to see if I have anything to add.
Martha - we’ll be in the mid-80s next week, I hope it’s a while before we see the 90s. You cut your own hair? Interesting...
Ruth - glad you had a nice time with your RV friends. I find that life interesting. I would like the idea of travel, seeing the country - but I wouldn’t enjoy living with do little space.
See ya tomorrow

(((HUGS))) Luckily, weather is cooling off. Yay!! Weather service site says currently 61, predicted high is 80. I'm dressed as if it will be 90 out, hair in ponytails and iced drink(s) close by.
Haircuts - I've cut my hair 4 times in the last 18 months. Originally, it was due to shops being closed. I have had 1 professional haircut. This last cut was due to me being tired of scraggly ends. I can tell it needs some touch-up but doubt I will do it right away.
Dinner tonight is spaghetti. Need to pull out sauce from freezer.
Off to work I go. . . .
(((hugs)))

Good morning all. Joy, I could not stand the drama in your office. You could almost report her for harassment of all of you!!! She is the one who acts like a kindergartener!!!
Martha, I wish I could cut my hair. I don’t touch it. I did have younger DD trim the back when the shops were closed. I keep my hair really short (see photo) and it’s curly, so I can’t do it. Never have cut it. You are lucky to be able to do that.
Not sure what dinner will be tonight! My hand dr appt. is about 40 miles away from our house. He used to be at a clinic that was on the west side of town, now he’s completely SOUTH!!! My appt. isn’t until 1:20 and if he’s anything like he used to be, he’s usually running late. Because he does a great and thorough job! But we may be on the road home during rush hour and will hit ALL of it all the way thru town! Might stop somewhere for dinner!!
Need to get dressed and get moving and do a few things before we go. Will check in tonight and let you know what he has to say.

Joyce, I’m sure the coworker from your office will use and enjoy the Cuisinart set for years to come. Your boss is very unprofessional. Good idea to not let the office drama bother you. I know easier said than done.
Martha, I have trimmed my hair a few times but have never really cut it. Not sure what the back would look like if I took a scissors to it. I have some sauce in the freezer so thanks for the reminder to use that up one night.
Ruth, I hope the doctor wasn’t running too later. With a 1:20 appointment it is probably one of the first appointments after lunch, so maybe he will still be on time. I have read about RVers being campground hosts, great for them and great for the campground. My niece and her husband work for the National Park Service. He was in charge of maintenance and grounds for the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. He said they couldn’t survive without the help they get from the seasonal volunteers. The volunteers get a free camp site and a few other things in exchange for their work (usually 20 hours per week).
I had my 6 month check up with my ophthalmologist. My eyes are doing okay, no major changes, so that was good to hear. Since it is raining here I planned to come home and read but with my eyes dilated I’m not sure how much reading I will do. I did stop at Kohl’s on my way home from the doctor to look at shoes. I ordered some shoes about 4/5 weeks ago for the week I work. I’m on my feet a lot and need good shoes. They shoes I ordered still aren’t here, I received 2 notices, one they weren’t available and the second (a few days later) that they would be shipped within 2 weeks. I think I will pick up a few pair of shoes and if the ones I ordered arrive then I will return the other shoes. Always something.

(((HUGS))) When I finish cutting my hair, I'll check the back to make sure not totally wonky. The middle is usually the spot that is longer than the rest. Joy - I'd go crazy with that office drama. Ruth - Hope you stopped & got dinner on the way home. Dottie - I have heard of camp ground hosting jobs. That is one way to be able to site-see the area. Depends on how long job is for. Lunch today is: cereal with milk. It sounds good to me. Have a great day! m

Good late afternoon all. My appointment went really well. I love this doctor and have so much faith in him. He agreed that the 2nd shot I had made things worse. He said I do need the trigger finger release surgery and it will be an office procedure on 6/21. An incision near my palm after numbing that entire area, minor surgery, a few stitches, and I can leave. None of the fasting, no same day surgery center, just a room in the clinic. I think younger DD is going with me that day because she wants to see the doctor and touch base with him! He had to see lots of pictures of her and her family and hear all about them. I will go back 10 days later to get the stitches out and make sure it’s healing well; but he said other than not getting the incision wet, I’ll have full use of my hand.
DS was not feeling well so we drove there on the way home and picked up Mara. Saved us a separate trip tomorrow morning. Sounds like we will get Harper & Sawyer tomorrow evening into Saturday. DD wants to get in a very early morning run on Saturday before the temperature rises into the 90’s!!! It was over 90 today!!!
We will get Mara outside to play after dinner! Hopefully it will have cooled down a little by then!
Have a good evening all.
