This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good Morning - TGIF! I am so ready for a weekend, with very few plans! I am still so very "tired" all the time! I may have to call my PCP and see if it's the med or what!
Yesterday went fine, kind of busy at work, so the day flew by! Today will be a slower one, but it's dress down, so blue jean capris will be comfy!
My THINK FIRST went well - ate the planned meals and snacks - tracked it all, stayed under my carbs for the day! YAY! Hoping it will mean a good WI today! Oh speaking of that... feeling like I am still just "maintaining" but in reality, I have lost 7# in 6 weeks - since tracking my carbs!! Not losing like gangbusters or anything - but I was surprised, when I actually read the report that said 7# in (only) 6 weeks! So that has made me a little more diligent! To stick with it.
Sue: Oh my, such hours you are working these days!! Glad you at least sleep well when you sleep. UGH, We have another Kaitlin/Tonya in our office!! I got to work yesterday around 7:45, Emily was nowhere to be seen. She is ALWAYS in early, even on her 8 o'clock weeks. Anyway, around 8:10 I asked if she was working or had called out. I was told, she was here at 7:30... no one had a clue where she was! Then at 8:30, Crystal walked by my desk - so I asked her... Is Emily working today? She said, I think so. I told her I hadn't seen her since I came in at 7:45! Well she came back to her desk a few minutes later... she was over in the trust department, "touching base" with her friend Crisabeth! UGH! Seriously? Clock in 30 minutes early, and spend 45 minutes NOT at your desk??? I don't think Crystal got my message... she just brushed it off.
Enjoy your days with Gloria being back!
Gabrielle: Hoping you and DH had a nice run yesterday. WOW 75 at 3:55 AM?? I am grateful for 63 degrees at 6 AM!
LOL Yeah, I asked her what Bob had to say... well apparently he said, I am not really "mean", but it's clear that Ken is the one that can make small talk, and keep a conversation going. UGH! Seriously?? HE wasn't talking either!! I admit I feel very "sad" that he doesn't think I am very friendly. I know this will make me even more anxious the next time we see him! I totally know I am not good at meeting new people - I get self-conscious, and nervous... but I do have to say he was not the LIFE OF THE PARTY himself! While I am sad about his thoughts, I am glad she told me - I mean, I asked... so her being honest with me is what I would hope for.
Good luck with all the planning required for the long run! OY VEY, so much to think and worry about! 24 hours is so long to be without sleep.
Jenny: I saw Audrey's senior spotlight on FB - you have a pretty awesome young lady there ♥ Such high temps for you too. Hey - go buy/fly a kite! LOL It would be fun, and so much exercise!
Deb that I work with, has to wear a mask at work - but I saw her post on FB that when she goes shopping she doesn't wear one. No one can ASK her, so she just goes without! So much for the honor system!!
UGH Sorry your fire season has started and it was caused by people! WHEN will people learn??

I will get Zoë after work today. Patti would appreciate the night to herself, and I think she's off tomorrow, so it will giver her the morning/day to get a few things done. Tracy will get Eden in the morning. Ken is off tomorrow, since Monday (his day off) was a holiday - they gave him Saturday to make up for it! The girls will be happy to have Grampa home with them. I go for a haircut - NOT impressed that my appointment got moved from tonight after work, to tomorrow - at 12:30 in the afternoon! UGH Right in the middle of the darned day! Sam's kids play baseball tonight, so she has to be there! I will say, back in my day, I went to games I could get to - but didn't take time off work to see every single game! I know, times have changed. Anyway... that's my only plan for the weekend. I know we will get some things done around here - but nothing "scheduled"!
Now it is time to get moving - have to grab a couple of snacks - we are ordering out for lunch, so the salad I have for today, will be eaten tomorrow instead! YAY!
Hope you all can enjoy part of the day today. We are expecting TStorms this afternoon - but should be over by the time I have to drive home. Hopefully!
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
So, so happy it is Friday! Another case of "fit 5 days of work into 4 days"---I haven't been leaving work until 6:00 pm the last few days and I look forward to two days where I am not rushing around and sitting outside in the heat for hours waiting for DH .... the last two weekends have been that way so I am super excited to have some downtime this weekend. I am having my DM, both boys, and DS27's GF over for a BBQ on Sunday--it will be good to have everyone together. Yesterday was a good day (eating-wise) and I am going to track it right now...I have really slipped into some routines in terms of breakfast and lunch...dinner and snacks are usually the only variables. It makes tracking much easier.
Carole: I am glad that you will ask about the feeling tired thing---sometimes the side effects of the things we take are not so clear and it helps to ask. I do hope that you find some answers. YAHOO on the success with your lower carb tracking!!! Wow! I am sorry to hear about Emily yesterday--maybe just a one-time thing and it won't be like you've had in the past. That haircut tomorrow will feel good! Mine is next Wednesday evening. Yes, not ideal in the middle of the day but I find myself challenging the way I always do things just to try to make myself more flexible--it is actually unsettling how I crave routines for EVERYTHING--- maybe you can do something different right after you get your haircut on the way home? Might be kind of fun! Hmmm about Bob...remember that Tracy is sharing what she remembers and there is Bob's way of saying things...it can be taken so many ways. I think of a couple that I meet for the first time and one talks more than the other and I might say, "Well he is that talkative one of the two." not meaning anything about the one who is less talkative. I hope that you can just put it aside and have him over to the house to relax outside and have a more informal visit. Yes, Ed's run is a HUGE deal---but I think I am usually pretty good at organizing things so will be working on the plan to do so. I need to get the schedule drilled in and set up a Zoom with the crew and pacers for next week. I will be sending a text today to get things going.

Jenny: Yay for a clean bill of health from the skin doctor! That is a great feeling, isn't it? I need to make an appt with my dermatologist for a little spot on the top of my ear....I always worry about things like that with running outside. Truth be told, we are out so early in the day, there is not much severe sun exposure but I still feel better having it checked. I saw the Audrey video! How nice that they are doing all of these events to acknowledge the kids! So exciting. No, no week off for me until the end of the month. I do have Monday off though (except for a Zoom in the morning)--trying to actually use up my days this year. I am sorry to hear about the fire. It is shocking how dry it is right now and I am SO frustrated with humans who make those mistakes. The fall is typically our worst time and it's going to be a long summer of worrying I think. Hope that you have a good day!
Sue: Hope that you have a relaxing weekend planned after all of your working! Wow, so much work!
Hello to all who follow. I need to track my day yesterday and get a move on --Zoom at 8:00 am first thing. I will see you tomorrow morning!

Hello everyone
I'm dragging today because we didn't get home from Audrey's awards until 9:15pm and I couldn't get to sleep until around 10:30 and then I even flipped and flopped around, the last time I looked at the clock it was 11:45pm and had to get up at 4:45am, so I'm exhausted and it's really slow at the plant today so that's not helping out at all.
Carole your not mean your just shy when you meet new people, I'm the same way to and people think I'm stuck up or mean but really I'm not, I'm just shy till I get to know someone and spend more time with them. He really needs think things through and not judge them the first time around after meeting them, just give it more time and it will work out. He's probably just as shy too, especially if he doesn't talk that much.
Yes Carole I do have one special girl, we were really proud of her last night. We had a good time and of course I got all sentimental and started to cry and once my eye's start to cry they keep producing tears, I hope I can get through next weekend cause it's going to be a busy one starting Friday night, we have all nighttime events to do starting with Baccalaureate on Friday evening then Saturday her Graduation and Sunday her dance recital, I'm going to be one tired girl.
Gabrielle oh yes the heat UGG it's cooled down extremely from yesterday and it's only going to be 80 today, and in the 60's & 70's through the weekend and next week. Oh that's nice to have the family over for a BBQ this weekend and yes enjoy your Monday off better use up all those day's before you loose them right?
Sue you poor girl working so many hours, I hope we get to visit with you this weekend.
OK need to run for now Hello to all who follow
Jenny
