Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Heading up to the lake shortly. We will stop by the tag sale at church on our way to the lake. We have a few things we are looking for but other than those things we aren’t planning on buying anything. We would like another small fan and a lamp for the guest room. The weather guessers predicted bad storms for us yesterday, not a drop of rain, but areas about 12-15 miles away had torrential rain and hair. Glad we didn’t get the hail, but could have used the rain.
I hope everyone has a good weekend, will “see” you tomorrow night.

(((hugs))) Stister/friend stopped by. Can't remember when the last time we caught up with each other was. She is actually not related to me but we have a closeness like sisters have. Good to catch up.
Had intermittent rain today. Of course, didn't take a jacket with me to get groceries. Luckily, not a downpour.
My to do list for the weekend hasn't had much checked off. Hoping that changes. Since the weather is much more tolerable, might use oven & crockpot to get things cooked.
Hope all have a great weekend!!
(((hugs)))

Good evening all. Busy day with all 3 little girls. They decided it was too hot to play outside so we had to find ways to keep them busy inside and to keep the older two from pushing each other’s buttons. They went home and got in their above ground pool and had a good time I heard! We hit 100 according to WeatherBug!!! I just keep telling myself it’s not -30 and it’s not snow/ice; so it’s all good!!!
I did a couple loads of laundry and sent the kids home with their clothes from yesterday all clean. Harper has to do her own laundry now so she maybe appreciates it!!! I did forget to send their swim suits home! Oh well.
Mara is ready for bed; but for the first time in maybe a year and a half, she requested bed time books; and Papa is currently reading #5!!! I told her daddy she may have figured out a new way for her to stall bedtime! She liked to be read to when she was little, but then all of a sudden would not sit still to be read to. Was really concerning to Stan; so he’ll read her as many tonight as she wants to listen to!!!
Not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow! It’s supposed to be in the 90’s here until next Friday!!! So whatever we do will be inside most likely!!!
Martha, my DF Rita, who passed away last Dec. 20, was like your sister friend! In fact when I went to doctor appts with her, she told them I was her sister!!! We had been friends for 40 years, raised our children together, and our houses were open door to the others children! She had 2 children; her older DD was just 9 mo older than our youngest; and we often took her younger DD and kept her. And our younger DD considered Rita as a 2nd mom!!! Those are relationships to cherish and they are hard to duplicate!!!
Hope Dottie has a wonderful weekend at the lake. Joy must be busy at work! Hope everyone has a great weekend. More tomorrow!!!

Good afternoon,
Looks like the weekend almost got away from me. Had birthday cake for lunch yesterday, and for evening snack. It was really good. Looks like I’ll be eating salad a lot this week.
Work went well yesterday. Another Saturday of not having too much to do but the day still going by quickly. I went to the casino last night. Didn’t win but had fun.
After church this morning went out to eat with DB and DSIL. They usually go to church on Saturday now, but went to a dance recital yesterday so they were able to meet up with me. Dispensation from attending mass due to Covid ends next week, I’m sure the church will be a bit more crowded next weekend.
We’re having hot weather here all week too. I’ll putter in the basement for a while to keep cool.
Need to go grocery shopping either today or tomorrow. Definitely picking up salad greens. Nothing much else going on.
See ya tomorrow

Joyce, glad you had a good time at the casino even if you didn’t win, just nice to get out now. That is good to be able to go to breakfast with DB and DSIL. Bill loves going out to breakfast.
Martha, glad you had a good time catching up with your “sister”. Did you make any headway on your to do list?
Ruth, we are having some heat also but it is supposed to drop down to the 70s by Wednesday. It does sound like Mara has found a way to postpone going to bed but reading to her is great. Sounds like Harper is really beginning to grow up, doing her own laundry.
We had a nice time at the lake, it was cooler there than at home. The main problem was the pollen blowing around there. The car had a yellow tint by the time we left. DS and family didn’t come because DGS#1 had a 5 o’clock baseball game yesterday afternoon and it would have been late by the time they got there. Bill and I both accomplished a few chores and we had time to sit on the deck to read, we usually don’t do that while the grands are there, too much going on.
