Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Dreary day outside today. It was raining when I got up, just gray skies now. I’m going to try for a walk later today.
I have Tyson cubed chicken breast in the freezer. Going to mix a portion with Kens olive oil vinegarette and make a Greek salad for lunch today. Usually I go to my favorite restaurant for that, but I’m trying to limit eating out a bit, I’ve been going out way too much and it shows on the scale. I bought a wedge of watermelon and need to cut that up today.
Nothing new at work. GM hasn’t talked to my boss yet, probably did talk to her yesterday because it was her birthday. Still cold in the office. All of us are wearing sweaters or jackets. I wore sandals and my feet were so cold when I got home. Laundry today, towels and PJs.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Joyce, your Greek salad sounds good. I know what you mean about the scale going up when we eat out more. Hope you aren’t too cold at work today, your place has more drama than most offices I have worked in.
Waving to Ruth and Martha, hope you are both having a good day.
My yogurt turned out okay, a little juicy, but tastes good. I used to make yogurt when my boys were younger (both were lactose intolerant) for several years. They loved yogurt with strawberries, blue berries and even plain, a good way to get calcium in them. Bill left at 10 to go pick up some parts for his riding lawnmower. One of our church friends is going with him and the friend was a salesman in the eastern Connecticut area and knows a lot of restaurants – etc. Friend is also Italian so besides picking up the parts for the lawn mower they are going to a nursery, a restaurant on a lake and to an Italian deli to buy some sausage. I think Bill needed a break and I’m sure he will have a good time. I cut down all of my daffodils and later this week I’ll move several of my planters to the area. The flowers in the planters are doing good so I think it is time to move them. I need to run to the store, rain predicted for this afternoon and if it does rain I don’t want to be shopping.

Good morning my friends! Still hot here in MN! We are to set a record this week: 9 consecutive days over 90 in the month of June. Never been done before! Incredible and warm!! Yesterday was humid also, so that made it worse. But I keep telling myself, it’s not snow, so it’s all good!! Just a little too much good! 🤣🤣
Dottie, DIL asked for a 2nd InstaPot for Christmas a few years ago, just to keep for making yogurt. She was a huge fan of doing that. Not sure if she still is now or not, but was for a few years anyway.
Bill and moving sounds like Stan and cars! Once he decides to buy one, there is no stopping him! The thing that stops Stan in his tracks about moving is the sorting and tossing; and the actual moving part. He says if someone could come in, pack it all up; move it to the new place, and unpack it all; them he’d consider it. But he really doesn’t want to do the work to get this place ready to sell. Someday we may not have a choice, so I’m going to keep working towards that goal, 1 room at a time! Going to start small with the half bath! I know there’s junk under the sink in the cabinet and in the cabinet above the stool and the floor needs a good cleaning on my hands and behind (can’t be on knees)!!
Joy, maybe all of you who are wearing coats should complain to the GM!!! As a group. Put a thermometer in the room and take that to show him!
Martha, hope your week is going well. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it it seems.
We are going to visit some DF’s today who live on a lake about half hour north of us. They have a beautiful large deck that is shaded by huge trees; and if there’s a nice breeze we can sit out and enjoy the view. If it’s just too warm for our friends (in their 80’s and she was the one in the nursing home after breaking bones in her back); we’ll sit inside with AC and enjoy the view. Haven’t seen them since she has been home.
I picked up a summery dress yesterday that I thought about wearing to the service Saturday. But it doesn’t fit (Kohl’s dressing rooms are closed here); so back it goes. Going to take Joy’s advice and look at Macy’s. Why are nice white capris so hard to find. I don’t want denim (too hot, tight, heavy); but I don’t want linen either. I’ll keep looking.
Have a great day all. I’ll check in later today.

Ruth, I hope your DDs can give you some help with sorting and clearing of items. I think part of the reason Bill is anxious is he thought we would be in a new place by the middle of summer. He packed up most of his office (3rd bedroom) and also most of his tools. He has had to unpack some of the tools because he needed to replace the garage door opener and now he has to work on his riding lawn mower. About a month ago he wanted me to pack up the china cabinet and the kitchen. I told him my plans were to move several boxes a day to the new place once we had a place to move things to but until then I wasn’t packing up the kitchen. Hope you find something you like for Saturday. Martha, hope you are having a good week at work.
Bill had a good day with his friend. He got home shortly before 3 and rain and thunder started around 3:10. It is still thundering but we didn’t get much rain. We really could use some more rain. We are in day 4 of 90+ temps. Ruth, hope your weather will cool down soon. The heat wave is supposed to break tomorrow, I hope so.

(((hugs))) Having a weird day today. Work - I'm out of stuff to do. I just sent out email asking for work. Hoping Food - Fishsticks, lettuce & tomato burritos, no sour or cheese, for breakfast. Heated up some Gazpacho & added some tortilla chips, Ate a P3 (Portable Protein Pack) and apple & banana. drinking hot tea. Dinner tonight is Chicken Pad Thai with veggies. I've been weighing myself on Saturday mornings. It has been staying about the same. The last 2 weeks, the scale has been down a little. I'm not going to rejoin WW, at this time, but have been checking out the newer program. I'll be doing it the old fashioned way - paper & pencil. I have a smart points calculator, know where it is and it's going back in to use. I'm guessing what my daily amount will be as I'm not going to be strictly following any one color plan. Most of my WW cookbooks are adaptable to the SP. My goal is to lose 5-10 lbs by Labor Day. Sending (((hugs))) out to all~ m
