I'm IN.
We are heading to Longwood Gardens to see the Spring Blooms display and enjoy the string quartet performances in the Conservatory. We'll have a light lunch there and then I'll make pork tenderloin for dinner.
However you spend YOUR day - may it be blessed!
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

Good morning, Friends! However you spend your day today, I hope there is plenty of beauty and joy. I'm about to hit the shower, sounds likeI have to get to church about an hour early to get a seat. DS is joining me and we'll see if he can get in! So grateful for J's gifts and that he has shared them so beautifully this week. Joining diva49 with the commitment to mindful choices.

Happy Easter! Yesterday was lots of fun. The adults had fun hiding eggs and the kids loved finding them. Dinner was very good. The ham we bought had no glaze and I found a pinterest recipe that was a copycat for a honey baked ham. You actually started it in the crockpot , took it out and then glazed it. Then you put it under the broiler. Everyone loved it and the oven was free to do the potatoes and roast vegetables. On the agenda is a walk before church and a 2nd Easter dinner, steak and baked potatoes! Happy Easter to all!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate.
Just put my corn casserole in the oven. Dina, I can't wait to try it. I took a little spoon full & put it on tinfoil so it's baking with the big one.
Made a trip to the cemetery this morning. The first of each holiday without a loved one is hard.
Along with my casserole tonight I'll be bringing some beautiful potted tulips for everyone & either a bottle of prosecco or a nice French rose I've wanted to try. And I pray my sil doesn't give me an Easter basket full of candy like last year!
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Sullicat- sending hugs and love
I had a wonderful weekend with my 6 year old niece. Yesterday we took a long walk and had a nice talk, went and got some ice cream (before supper of course) did a little shopping. Sears was having sales and I wanted to look for shoes. Instead, I got undies that I really needed, she said she needed socks (so of course they were on sale also) and then she spotted a tie that her uncle just had to have as an Easter present!
She broke my heart when she thanked me for the girl time because "I don't get any girl time with my mom because she works or sleeps or is on her computer". I tried explaining that her mom works a lot because her Dad only does flea markets and she sleeps a lot because she works 10 hour night shifts, but still loves her. I tried not to blame or defend -just remain neutral and hear her out. But I wanted to slap both of her parents! This is why I'm just the Aunt!
Today we all went to a beautiful church service and had a very nice dinner out. Got the typical nasty comments from mom, but I'm OK. Back on the wagon tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a blessed day

Dina, I'm leaving soon. I don't know about this casserole. I don't know what the consistency is supposed to be & it seems like it's kind of dry. We can always eat candy corn...oops wrong holiday!
