This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day.
Gabrielle: 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire. 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc.) 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world.
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good morning Sue - Thanks for starting us off this morning. I am enjoying some lazier mornings, while working from home this week.
My days are totally different this week. More work to get done - was on the phone with IT for over 1 1/2 hours Monday, but I have a 2nd monitor now! WORTH THE TIME!!! It just threw me off a bit. Add to that my sister is on vacation this week, so folks have been up to use the pool the past 2 days! Certainly throws off my work day! LOL I am not complaining ~ She mentioned NOT using the pool while I was home, but that's silly! To have the pool here, and be this HOT and HUMID and NOT use it??? Anyway, it just makes it "different" for my days.
Back to Monday: Gabrielle: Hey we are expecting a cool down this weekend too! YAY for having the extra day to get things done! Hope the trip to the vet wasn't too bad for Abby or your pocketbook.
Thanks - I too was happy to know that Patti is comfortable enough to come up without the whole family here. We had a nice chat while we watched Zoë swimming. Yes our Relay is this Saturday. The good news is, it is a one day/4 hour event. A simple Drive Thru - no walking the track - no spending the night! We will take our small canopy and sit at our site for the 4 hours - then break down and head home, to have folks here for the virtual luminaria ceremony. Tracy will put up her big screen outside, and we will have some of our luminaries here - similar to what we did last year at my sisters' house.
Oh dear - yes let's get DH through this run without any health issues.
Karen: LOL I hear ya' - when things get too overwhelming, we let things slide where we can! Try not to worry about your return to school now - it is what it is, and will be - enjoy your summer Grammie ♥
LOL The cold cuts worked so well Sunday - we will do it again this Saturday night!
Take Time Tuesday ~ Well (again) with people here from 11 AM - 3 PM it sure does change the workday! I just got into a FB chat with a friend yesterday, then had to check on my medical portal about my med refill - just things got in my way of getting here!!
Sue: YAY for a 6 AM day! LOL
Gabrielle: What a nice change of pace for you! Not far to drive, and being at a winery (even without drinking) HAD to be a better day than in a school building! I hope your Zoom went well last night - I am sure you know more than even you believe! You will get this support group all organized and ready for the run! LOL Yes, I am able to get the dryer quicker since I am going to pick it up. I don't mind - we'll load our old one when Ken is at lunch today - then I will take my lunch hour and go get my new one. I was going to go after work, but decided a longer lunch will work much better for me. It is still so crazy how many things are still held up due to Covid. Afraid this fall out will continue for a long - long time.
OK Now I must get moving - to get the shower before Ken is ready to head up. I want to clock in a little early - so my longer lunch won't be a problem.
I expect a few people here to swim once again today. Tracy will be coming home and already invited people up!
♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Another cool morning (and it was surprisingly cool last night)--this is how I would have expected May to be instead of being so hot. We'll take it for now though! I have to leave pretty early for my neck ultrasound...it is my time for my annual check up next Thursday--hoping for another year with no evidence of cancer. I try not to get anxious, but can't help feeling a bit uneasy each year. With the anxiety of DH's race coming up, I think that it has all been a bit consuming. Hopefully, after my appointment next week, I will feel at least calmer about this aspect of my life! Looking forward to three productive days at the office...not too overboard with meetings and just settling.
Carole: Yay for two monitors! That would be kind of different having someone swimming in your backyard while you are working--you are generous to offer that to your sister (and whoever else might show up). Yay for two monitors though! That would be totally worth it! And today is new-dryer-day, right? Nice! I didn't get any decluttering done on Monday (due to a few other things going on, but it was nice to be home and able to help DH with some things as needed). I am supposed to have next Monday off as well but (of course) have a Zoom in the morning and will see if there is another day that might be better. Here in CA, all of the talk is about everything being "normal" as of 6/15, but Cal OSHA is saying workplaces can not be normal so we will see, as it gets closer, how it will all roll out. If one person in our office is not vaccinated, we all have to wear masks (and we can not know who the person is). There is only one person that I am unsure of and she is one of our people who only comes in about once every two weeks (works out in the field)....sadly, if she isn't vaccinated, we all have to wear masks even though she is hardly ever in the office. Oh well....we will see, maybe she did get vaccinated. She is just a bit "different" about some things. Hope that today is a good day and you get the dryer without any issues.

Sue: Oh, so glad that you got some extra sleep this morning! At least it is light super early now so that might help in some way, right? Hoping that you have a good day.
Hello to all who might follow. I have a haircut tonight--mostly though I am looking forward to the color--in the warmer weather, my hair is growing faster and the gray seems to be there in no time! It will feel good to get it done though. I don't know if I mentioned it, but DH is FINALLY finished with the Corvette--the one that he bought me two years ago for my birthday (TOTAL surprise and his excuse to have a project--he is really good that things like that). I have driven it a couple of times (it is a stickshift and a little "touchy") and am feeling much more comfortable. My ultimate goal has been to surprise my mom and pick her up one day to take her for a drive...might be doing that the week of the 21st--the week of her 80th birthday. Not too many people even know about it--I haven't talked about it too much. I think that DH is pretty happy that I am so comfortable driving it. I am really happy with all he has been able to do to make it easier to drive---and it will be fun for the two of us this summer and fall. Okay, need to get moving. Have a good day ladies!

Good Morning
I have been MIA for two day's due to being in Corvallis working. Monday it was so boring but yesterday it picked up quite a bit so it made time go by fast, now I'm in Keizer pit for today and tomorrow and then off Friday, Sat and Sun for Audrey's graduation and dance recital weekend, I'm looking forward to some time off but have a feeling it will go by fast. It really cooled off this week in the high 60's and low 70's. The weather man say's it's going to pour down rain on Friday and then clear up for the weekend and next week. I'm on vacation from July 5th through the 9th and I booked my room at the Wolf Creek Inn, I'm really looking forward to getting away for a day or two. Kerry and I are going through the options for Student Loans for Audrey for school next year, it seems that Sally Mae is good but there are other's to look at as well. Anybody know about student loans at all?
OK gotta rap it up for now have a great day everyone
Jenny
