Traffic has been crazy just before the holiday and we may well be going out again today to grocery shop It is great having my daughter home. We have been staying up WAY too late, though. Tonight, hopefully, we will go to sleep earlier! We have lasagna, some sort of roast and I don't know what else on the menu for the weekend. I have a funeral to go to on Monday - at least I will be with friends - it will be sad. Cherry: The creme brulee bars sound delicious! What did you decide about when to have Christmas? Pam: Hope you have a marvelous Christmas with your family. Lynn: Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas - will you be home or at the beach? Beverly: After 8 years of friendship the two should be aware of one another and the marriage filled with far fewer surprises. I hope it is fun for everyone. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Good morning. I made an executive decision last evening to cancel Christmas. We'll try for New Year's Day. We're still under a blizzard warning tomorrow and tomorrow night, but it doesn't sound quite as severe as to the snow accumulation as it had been. But 2 inches of snow can cause just as much of a blizzard whiteout as 6 inches. Either way my yard and drive will be filled with drifts.
My son is going to try to come tomorrow anyway, but my grandson won't be coming. So I'm going to put the prime rib roast I was going to have for dinner in the freezer until next week or whenever the weather allows us to have Christmas.
I'm going to wait to see what it is like this afternoon before I decide whether to go in to town for Mass at 4 today. If it has snowed and the wind is blowing I'll stay home. I'm going to make some fudge and perhaps another pan of bars so I can take some along when/if I go to my neighbor's for supper this evening. Again that will depend on how much my yard is drifting in.
Have a good day, beaches.
