Meg, those are excellent suggestions. I keep thinking I should do that and then I think "oh it'll be fine" and then poof...off it goes to cyberspace
Well I got some indoor gardening done. Transplanted some plants and sowed some seed. Dh swept the kitchen floor and vacuum carpet for me. Now I am resting and after that will clean up the rest of the kitchen and do a quick wash of the floor in there. While resting I'll do a couple rows on either the scarf or baby blanket..maybe both.
I hope you are all having a lovely day. I'll bbl

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Phyl - That is a lot of strips in that quilt, I can't imagine stitching in the ditch on all of those!! Sounds like you are making progress on your quilts. I hope the funeral was a comfort to you and the family, they are often tough to deal with. Meg - Hope you did get some more crocheting done. Ruth - When I first started back doing some crochet I bought a fuzzy yarn and tried to use it a little bit, but then quit - it was just too difficult for me to see the stitches and I needed to being a beginner. I'm sure you're glad to get your seeds started, and then you can look forward to your tomatoes. I don't trust most of the patterns for crafts that are posted on the Internet. I've found lots of mistakes in quilt patterns too. Ginny - Hope you are having a good day. I finished the two weekly quilt blocks today and I also took apart the incorrect one and put it together again correctly. I'm glad that this was the last block for the Snowy Day quilt - next week she'll give setting intructions. We're on Block 18 of the Solstice Quilt, here's a link to see some blocks: www.ilovetomakequilts.com/ - scroll down to the bottom for pictures Doing these quilt alongs has reminded me that I'm not very patient and I get bored with projects that go on too long. I need to remember not to do any of these again. The Solstice quilt runs through the end of June and then it will be done. I am very happy with my fabric and blocks for this quilt though. I hope to get to work on the binding on the small quilt next. Take care everyone!

CJ, good to see you. Congrats on getting so much done. That quilt along that lasts so long would drive me crazy. I'm not a patient person either. Oh and great that you corrected your mistake that you found so quickly. If I see one and don't do it right away it usually sits there forever.
Beautiful day here. The seeds I planted today are for indoor gardening...basil and thyme leaves. Oh I did plant some zucchini seeds because dh told me I should and he would try again but, as I mentioned previously, we've never had luck with vine plants. So we'll see what happens this year. One year after I planted a while bunch of zucchini I did get three zucchini out of it. I've never had the urge to eat the blossoms. My plants do get a lot of blossoms but, except for those three that year, they've never gone on to produce fruit.
Well guess I'll do some crocheting. I have dh's pasta sauce simmering so he'll be all set for now.

Good evening!
Will have to be brief, I have to catch up on some work related stuff as I am teaching on Wednesday.
Ruth, good luck with the zucchini when you do plant them! They can grow like weeds here...and can be prolific producers. Basil and Thyme are such lovely plants. Hope you get good germination.
CJ- glad Joanns had the fabric you needed!!! Yay! And yes, better that you caught the error now, as opposed to later. It would have been almost impossible to correct a bit later on.
Phyl- so glad you got some play pen time in! Of course, you do not have to stitch in every ditch- you can outline major block areas depending on the pattern.
Meg- so glad you got to Knit wits! YOu must be getting close to done on the V Stitch- if it's that heavy that it is awkward to travel with it. Cannot wait for you to fnish it- it does sound so pretty.
Not sure what they will do with the other hand made in terms my MIL made.- or if Dh wants them if my SIL does not. I know my BIL and SIL in Florida do not want any items from her house.
Long day and this is going to be a long week. Think after Wednesday I will assuredly get back to embroidery. What I dislike about this time of year is that now I have to garden too- which takes away from my crafting time. I dislike gardening and would much rather play with fabric.
Have a lovely evening. Hard to believe tomorrow is Monday Ginny
