We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 43 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished May 1, 2021. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Jun1, 2020, is "250 Miles by Oct 1, 2021."
You are welcome to join us at any time.

Good Morning Ladies!!!
I stayed off the computer while I was off except Wednesday I got on to pay some bills. I enjoyed my time off had a lot of time to relax. Eating definitely was not on plan. I have some parties over the weekend to attend. I will get myself back on track. My weight is way up. We had some very hot weather so some days there was no outside walk. I added 15 miles from last Thursday til yesterday.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers!
Yesterday I did 3/6 of my main HHs, stayed in my red zone of pts and did JGTB.

2 microhabits: - â50 pushawaysâ: đ - âNo seconds with snackâ: N
Yesterday we walked 2 mi.
A pair of osprey are building a nest across the River from our deck! Weâve been hearing them a lot, and DH spotted the nest activity yesterday.
itâs still hot here in far âNorth Stateâ CA, 99-102 highs each day. But the mornings are 60âs-70âs for our walk and eating breakfast on the deck. Weâre getting some haze from the wildfires southeast of us. Weâre planning to go south next Sat.
KELLY - thanks for the start! I totally forgot we needed a new thread for July! Glad you had a nice break for your week off. GFY 15 miles despite the heat and celebration. Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

TGIFRIDAY!
KELLY -- thanks for starting us out for July! GFY staying mostly off the computer during your break. Honestly, there are things we absolutely need the computer for these days, so "fasting" isn't as easy as it once was. Sorry about your heat, and CAIT's, too. We've had a few days' reprieve, but it's coming back!
CAIT -- Good job getting down for your PT exercises, and I think it's pretty exciting you'll be able to view the osprey nest, at least until you head back south.
I went to water class yesterday and today (total 4 miles), and I just finished stretching.

Good Morning Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my đ zone of pts. I had some urges to eat more after my planned snack but made my way through it. My âKISSâ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: đ - JGTB: đ 2 microhabits: - â50 pushawaysâ: đ - âNo seconds with snackâ: đ Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi. Sitting out on the deck this am, just finished my WW virtual meeting - the topic was about control. Three âbucketsâ - - what I canât control, - what I canât control but I can influence, - what I can control. I can control my choice of what, when, where, how, and how much I eat, my choice to move and do exercise, my choice to JGTB. The coach posted this on her WW Connect page: Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

CAROL - GFY with the water aerobics Wed Thurs & Fri for 6 mi and the 2 mi for your volunteer outing, keeping up with the stretching. I think of you when I do my PT with all the stretching đ Glad your physical went OK. How exciting, your new car! So nice you could take your Sis birthday shopping and she could enjoy it. We still have the 100 degree highs each day but can enjoy the morning outdoors.
AMY - I hope things are going well with adapting to your return home in different circumstances, and the leg healing, as well as healthy eating. Whew! That sounds like a lot to deal with!

Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 3/6 of my main HHs, ate above my red zone of pts in the evening but at least I stopped and did JGTB.
My âKISSâ HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: N - JGTB: đ
2 microhabits: - â50 pushawaysâ: N - âNo seconds with snackâ: N
Yesterday we walked 2 mi and I did my floor physical therapy exercises 45 mins.
This am weâre enjoying a cooler morning on the deck. DH wanted to skip the walk and just relax. As a treat, we saw a bear walking down the mountain directly across the river from us! One of the osprey was sitting on the branch at the nest and the other just arrived and it looks like theyâre both on the nest. We are at 1640 ft elev and the mountain in front of us is at 3000 ft elev. Itâs not far âas the crow fliesâ but the crow doesnât fly there! A hummingbird is being bothered by a small wasp at the feeder. Yesterday we had a mama deer and youngling in our front âyard.â A lot going on out here đ
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

The new monthly WW theme is âFind Joy,â My WW meeting coach posted a link for the âFind Joyâ monthly theme article www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/why-finding-joy-so-important Hereâs the new weekly WW technique topic: âMake time for what you enjoyâ Itâs in the app under the âDiscoverâ tab. I canât find a link for it. This is the intro to it: "I'll be happy when I lose weight." This train of thought is totally normal, but studies show that pressing pause on your happiness doesn't serve your wellness goals. Making time for joyâeven if only for a few minutes a dayâis actually a strategic way to be more successful on your weight-loss journey.
It helps to list the activities you love to do (we've included some of our favorite ideas above!) and schedule a time to get at 'em in your calendar (yes, even the ones you only do by yourself!).âThis article came in the WW Weekly email: âScience says these 10 tricks actually make you happierâ www.weightwatchers.com/us/article/science-says-these-10-tricks-actually-make-you-happierThere are tons of recipes in todayâs regular Sunday WW Weekly email. And the recipe cards:

Good Morning!!
I had a nice weekend. I added 4 miles. Yesterday was a DOR after Church. I even took an afternoon nap. My stomach was not feeling the best and still is a little unsettled. It is probably in shock from the crap I was eating.
Our weather was a cooler over the weekend but the hot and humidity is returning today.
Cait: Good job on your walks. I love seeing the wild life. I get to see some on my walks mostly deer, birds, and some foxes. We actually have had bear that wander a little far from their homes. A few years ago one actually traveled into downtown Hanover.
Carol: Great job with your water aerobics.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Yesterday no walk. DH wanted to enjoy the morning on the deck since it was cool. The afternoons and evenings are hot. Fortunately it was a quiet 4th - no fireworks, no fires in our immediate area.

MONDAY!
CAITâ I sure understand wanting to take advantage of the cool mornings outside! How fun to see the osprey and bear! Those osprey must be sitting on eggs.
KELLYâ I enjoy watching wildlife, too. Weâve had coyotes, deer, turkeys, and foxes n our yard, along with the @#&$*@# raccoons. Luckily, we donât have to worry about bears! I hope your tum feels more settled.
I guess I took the weekend off! The Sunday water classes werenât held, and we took the new car out on an afternoon of searching for historical markers. đ€. Itâs going to be a great travel car for us! Back in the pool today (2) and I stretched.

Good Morning!!!
I stayed OP yesterday. My stomach is almost back to normal. I added 2 mile walk.
Cait: The morning on the deck sounds nice. We went to see the fireworks over the lake on Saturday where my SIL lives in a gated community. We did not go to the local ones on the 4th. I actually was in bed by 9 and could hear them in the distance plus the ones some neighbors were setting off. The fireworks near homes always makes me nervous. A family in York lost their home and their son lost his life from a careless disposal of fireworks.
Carol: Your ride searching for historical markers sounds wonderful. One day last week we visited 5 Covered Bridges in the Lancaster area. It is unusual for us to get bears and they are usually younger ones. I think they get stirred up from new housing developments that are taking away their homes.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

KELLY -- I'm glad your stomach is feeling better; good job staying OP and walking 2 miles.
Because my back is still bothering me, I just stretched today.
