Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi. I was so tired from too little sleep that I didn’t do much except read - but I did finish my book 😵💫 Started another. I’m reading too many right now - 5 nonfiction and 2 fiction. The fiction are the ones that grab hold of me! Right now one is engrossing and one is sort of “meh” but I’m waiting to see if it gets better.
This last one was a Jacqueline Winspear book in her “Maisie Dobbs” series - they’re mysteries and usually there’s a murder, but they’re more character driven than suspense/thriller. Set in post-WWI England, and you really get detail and immersed in what life was like back then. Now I’m reading the new one by Elly Griffiths “The Night Hawks.” Her Ruth Galloway is a British archaeology prof, a single parent, who consults with police. Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

WEDNESDAY!
KELLY -- GFY another OP day and walking! It's so hard to exercise outside when it's hot!
CAIT -- good job meeting your HHs yesterday, and I know you'll give it your best today, too. I really enjoyed the Maisie Dobbs books; I learned a lot about the times in England between the wars. I'm currently reading The Huntress by Kate Quaid (I think). It's pretty good, but the characters and years alternate with the chapters. Guess I'll have to wait to see how they all come together.
I went to water aerobics this morning, and I just finished stretching. I'm going to go ahead and add a mile for my Wednesday volunteer gig, too.

hi all went to see my pap he wants a physical I October. I cant wear the brace any more. It is a big cut that hurts awfully when I wear the brace. I go tback July 27 . Booby comes for3 hours tomorrow. I was denied meals on wheels . I called the governors office and his staff called back. They got my information . I also faxed the family Judge that they wont give out the guidelines in which they made their decision. I told the governor staff that and the family judge. I told if they have the guidelines at the hearing and I don't they are at an unfair advantage. I also told him I cant prepare for a hearing without the guidelines. I ALSO GOING TO CALL MY STATE REPRESENATIVE AND SENATOR. THATS WHAT MY CONGRESSMAN TOLD E TO DO. BUT I AM GLAD THE GOVERNORS OFFICE CALLED ME BACK RIGHTAFTER I ELFT A MESSAGE.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi.
We’re getting ready to leave Sat to return to SoCal. It will be nice to have 70’s - low 80’s high temps in the day, instead of 97-106. I’ll miss my deck and forest, but will enjoy the patio, yard and walk along the beach. It’s always a big change to be in the midst of so many people. Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Good Morning!! TGIF!!
Not sure what happened to my post from yesterday.
I walked 2 miles before work yesterday. We had some heavy rains in the afternoon and some wind I assume from Elsa. I tracked this week and lost 5.4 lbs of the 6.2 lbs i gained on my vacation week.
Amy: Hope you are healing well. Take good care of yourself.
Cait: Good job on a good day and your walk. Safe travels.
Carol: Great job with your continued activity.
Waving to all. Happy Waking!!

Good Morning Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts. I got a decent night’s sleep and we’re on our way south, left a little after 7 am and hoping to arrive around 6 pm. Right now we’re driving through the last of the multiple forest fire areas along I-5 but so far just haze. The fires are E of I-5. The drought is showing severely, with Shasta Lake at the lowest level we’ve ever seen 😢 My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚 2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: N - “No seconds with snack”: 💚 Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi. CAROL - re my PT - I wanted to do it 2 days this week, but that didn’t work out with my work and travel prep. At least I got in two days the previous week. We feel the same way about raccoons! We had a hard time with them in Long Beach. I also thought the osprey must be sitting on eggs, but supposedly they hatch in April, and by June the babes are flying. This is a new nest and we’ve seen them working on it. We’re thinking maybe they lost their old nest to wind or predator. But we do see one of them sitting there a lot. Glad you and DH had a fun historic marker hunt in the new car. GFY back in the pool and stretching, and the walking for your volunteer work. Hope your back is feeling better. I’ve never heard of that book “The Huntress” and author Kate Quinn. I’ll put it on my list.
AMY - I hope you get the MOW. You certainly deserve it. Sorry that brace didn’t work out. Glad you’re eating oatmeal, apples and cherries - such healthy choices! I remember you like apples. The cherries and grapes have been so good this year! I hope you can stay comfortable while your leg heals.
KELLY - GFY with 3 mi Thurs and 4 mi last weekend. Yay, you, getting rid of most of the vacation week weight gain! Glad your stomach is feeling better. I’ve noticed as I’m aging, my digestive system is less able to easily handle “insults” to its preferred healthy balanced meals in moderate amounts 😳 Your covered bridge outing sounds like fun. DH’s DD2 lives in Lititz area, Lancaster Co.
