Good Morning!!
I had a very lazy weekend but think it was needed. I did 2 miles on Friday. It was the first weekend in a long time we did not have any place we had to be.
Cait: Great job getting in your walks. I do believe if it is not enjoyable it is not sustainable. That was one thing when I did the Health Coach position I would as the patient what they enjoyed doing and foods they enjoyed. Not everyone is meant to run or workout hours in the gym but most people enjoy some type of physical movement. Same with food it is amazing how many recipes there are to prepare different foods so it can be enjoyable.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

Good Morning Challengers Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts. My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚 2 microhabits: - “50 pushaways”: 💚 - “No seconds with snack”: 💚 Yesterday we walked 4.1 mi to breakfast and then to and along the beach. Had a nice afternoon on the patio. Zoomed with my Sis and talked with DD1. They’re getting ready to sell their townhouse and will look for a 3 br home with a yard. 😁🥳 On WW Connect there is a “Beck Diet Solutions” book club group where someone posts about a chapter each weekday and another person posts a week day daily “tip” from the Beck Institute website. This link takes you to the weekday “Daily Tips.” They’re pretty good. diet.beckinstitute.org/category/daily-diet-tips/KELLY - Yay for your relaxing weekend! Even the military knows that people need R&R! Yes it’s interesting to figure out “what is sustainable,” and work on it. It takes time for me to integrate a new habit, and to see and appreciate the reward and joy part of it. Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

It's TUESDAY and I'm BAAAAAACCCKKKKK!
We had a great trip, but we spent a great deal of time in the car. Luckily, we have a comfy car! It was great fun to meet up with my niece and her kids (16, 13, 10), and we had a fun day! We went to a mammoth dig site (still working) that is situated over the sinkhole where the mammoths would fall in but not be able to get out because of the vertical sides. Interesting fact: Every one of the mammoths in that sinkhole was male, and most were young adults. They may have been kicked out of their herds and didn't have the matriarch to warn them of the danger. Oh, the male brain...! Then we went to a corny chuck wagon dinner and show, which was surprisingly fun!
Anyway, I didn't get much exercise in, and I didn't stretch, other than incidentally. I'm counting 7 walking miles and 2 water fitness miles (yesterday). I stretched yesterday and today.

Good Morning!!
Stayed OP yesterday and walked 3 miles. I was proud that I did not eat any of the homemade brownies that were in the break room yesterday.
I did not sleep well last night at all. Wide awake way past midnight. Surprisingly I do not feel too bad so far. Probably will hit me this afternoon.
Carol: Welcome back. Sounds like a fun time.
Cait: Good job walking and getting some work done. I hope you enjoy your new desk. I need to clean mine off. My work station is good as I have to have organization when I am working. Home computer desk needs some help.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!

WEDNESDAY!
CAIT -- Moving to a new desk always seemed like a new opportunity to get organized, kind of like Monday, or a new semester, or a new year. Good luck!
KELLY -- GFY with staying OP, walking and avoiding brownies. That's tough!
I went to water aerobics this morning (2) and I just finished stretching. Tomorrow is "National Lipstick Day," and our water instructor has something goofy planned. I stopped at the party store today and picked up a pair of wax lips, which I figure will either be a hilarious hit or a groaning miss. Either way, I hope to get a laugh out of it!

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi. I did some errands, got my hair cut - first time in 4 mos. It feels and looks much better. DH said it didn’t look that bad before, and he always thinks they cut it too short 🤨
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

I had an enjoyable zoom meeting with my first HS classmates group, just 6 of us, although all 60 or so are invited, whoever we have email addresses for. Did work and a few errands. KELLY - GFY with the good day and 2 mi walk Mon, and Tues avoiding the brownies, OP and 3 mi walk. Your weather must have improved. I’m really enjoying my desk! Interesting how work environments affect mood as well as productivity. CAROL - Glad you had a good trip! I totally forgot. We missed you! LOL re the male brain mammoths - I bet they refused to ask directions 😳 7 walking miles is pretty good despite a lot of driving. I bet you were happy to get back to water fitness. Yes the new desk does have a “fresh start” effect on me 😁 LOL re the lipstick day gag 💋 Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

THURSDAY!
CAIT -- good job achieving all your HHs yesterday! I hope today is a good day, too!
We are baking here, although we're not nearly as dry as the west. I went to water fitness today, and my wax lips got a few laughs. I had to take them off during the actual class because, you know, breathing! I just finished stretching, too.
I don't usually go to the pool on Thursdays, but it's so hot and humid that it really feels good! I'll go tomorrow, too.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi.
A friend woke up yesterday and couldn’t see. His vision was all blurred. He went to the eye doc and was sent to a specialist with detached retina. Apparently it can require an emergency surgery, but his may heal on its own. I looked up causes - the main one is “Aging.” 🤨😵💫😳 Also he has little vision in the other eye, and issues in the other eye can be a risk factor.
CAROL - GFY with the water aerobics and stretching. I didn’t realize you were such a hoot! You must be a real party animal 💃😍 I on the other hand have never been known as the life of any party 😏
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi. At the beach we saw a “feeding frenzy” in the shallow water - pelicans and terns were diving headfirst into the water for fish. It was amazing! I read about it. It happens when a school of baitfish comes near the surface.
This am I went to the WW Studio for my end of month WI - my weight was 147 at WW, 146.5 at home. This is the most stable in a healthy range that my weight has been in a while and I’m so grateful. I stayed for the meeting - first time I’ve done that in years. A year or so after I lost the 100 lbs in 2003 I stopped staying - just weighed and left to go to work or whatever. Today was the same 7 am workshop with the same coach I used to attend virtually all through 2020 before the studios reopened. I was excited to see some of the folks. I said “Hi,” but I don’t think they recognized or remembered me 😆 😷 I wanted to do my part to try to support the studios. The meeting was good. In person is definitely different from virtual - can’t say one is “better.” Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.
