National Animal Crackers Day National Columnists’ Day National Lineman Appreciation Day So am I the only one whose first thought was the Shirley Temple song? and then of course when I got down to the last one I then had Glen Campbell in my head. Enjoy

I LOVE the Shirley Temple and will often quote it, to the weird looks of my co-workers. Even the ones that are older than me have no clue what I'm talking about.
Sometimes I'm not sure if they have lived under a rock or if I'm just full of really weird info!
My Husband sings the Glenn Campbell song a lot- but I'm not a fan of that one.

Ha! itsrad I remember that, no clue if they still have the string or not. Of course after the songs I started thinking about the actual cookie and how much better my life became when they got turned into Circus Animal cookies with the pink and white frosting and sprinkles. I still cannot even buy a bag of those suckers, they are pure evil.

I remember Shirley singing this and the little boxed ones are the best!

It would appear the answer to my question is yes. However, I have a new question. Since they are Barnum's animals, what happens to them when the B&B circus is gone?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Shirley Temple! When I was a little girl, I would spend weekends at my Grandma's house and we'd watch Shirley Temple and John Wayne movies all weekend long.
Fond, fond memories. <3

Um, they jump into vats of pink and white icing and just become regular old circus animals itsrad ? I do too azcristi , I have fond memories of Shirley Temple movies except for the whole Halloween aspect of it, being a curly haired red head with freckles and a mom who loved Shirley Temple is NOT a good combo. Good thing I can't post personal pics on here, I would never hear the end of it. Then there is the whole, let's give her a Toni home perm so all the curls go the same way thing.... *just remembered I could do it in my avatar, LOL no way, I experienced enough public humiliation as a child!

Well Animal Crackers were always just okay to me; I preferred the Toy Cookies; they originally were made with butter and a very tasty item. But, alas, all the cookie manufacturers switched to cheap fats and oils yeas ago. But I guess that helped kill my desire for most commercial cookies.
As for Shirley, in my youth—well before video tapes—we had a local channel that showed her movies every Sunday morning. A Shirley Temple movie on Sunday mornings was my ritual for decades.
