I think we were able to change our settings to Australia and we learned about a new program that was coming to the states later that year. I'm not sure that works anymore. chook , we may want a word from you, if you hear anything.

As I've written I'm a bit concerned about the changes but I keep telling myself I also have calorie counting. Although if I don't mesh with the new plan and go over my "two pounds over goal weight" and have to pay I don't know what I'll do.

A lot of the current program books have been going on sale in the past few months which is usually a sign, but not even a hint in the wind at the moment.

I don't know if its possible to print tracker pages on the WW tracker. But maybe it would be helpful to record somewhere what you're eating each day somewhere else. If the plan changes, just keep eating as you have been. I recently decided to overcome my annoyance and frustration with SmartPoints points calculations, and have been tracking on WW green for a while now. I swore I would never be able to use any version of Smart Points after giving it a short try after Points Plus ended. I guess I've finally calmed down about the whole thing, after all these years. I upped my points allowance because I still think it's ridiculous that milk, even fat free milk, is so high in points because of naturally occurring sugar. And peanut butter and raisins are also way too high in points, in my opinion, and these are things that I eat on a regular basis. And to my own surprise, I'm managing to make it work, and I'm still maintaining, and possibly very slowly losing. I have to keep reminding myself to just stay calm and eat the way that I know works well for me.

I'm going to speculate here. I think WW is going to come out with a more protein leaning plan or option, given the popularity of keto and other low carb diets.
I think one of the reasons the early WW plans worked so well for me was the fact that they required me to eat a fairly generous portion of protein at each meal. The first WW program I followed allowed carbs primarily in the form of fruit and vegs, with 2 slices of bread per day, one at breakfast and one at lunch. I shed gobs of weight. And it wasn't just because I was young. The older ladies in the meeting did well too. And of course there were the 5 fish meals per week.

mac, thank you for posting, but it basically says nothing. 😉 I liked "WW is expanding into healthcare and diabetes." First they conquered sleep apnea, now it's on to diabetes.

When I worked for WW, the golden standard when a member asked for specifics about the plan and diabetes or any other medical condition was "ask your doctor" and leaders/staff were not to touch it with a ten foot pole.
The only specific "advice" was for returning moms and a nursing plan.
That said - there are a couple of members in my meeting who got off insulin by following WW faithfully.
EDIT: Good to see that they're working toward meetings (okay, workshops) becoming fully operational again. That quells the rumors that WW is getting rid of meetings.

NatureLover, We have members in virtual workshops that have gotten off their medicine for diabetes on WW's, also many overweight members who I'm sure have diabetes and dont even know it, I think there is a need for something for these people.

Mac, thank you for posting. Any info is better than none! Like Judy says, we’ll probably know in November.

Territory managers typically learn of any changes in August and meeting staff start training in October.
