I agree with this approach, don't always do it but think it is a good idea. I know if I eat slowly and mindfully I will be satisfied.

I walked five days this week. I've gotten to enjoy the "think" time.

Focus on eating - I usually eat breakfast and lunch by myself, and reading the newspaper online or social media is part of what I do when I eat. I've always done some kind of reading when I eat alone. I don't think it keeps me from checking on my hunger/satiation levels and fully enjoying my food. I do make a conscious effort to stop periodically and check in with myself for those levels.
Any time I eat with one or more people, we don't do anything else other than eat and talk. I don't think engaging in conversation is really any different than reading while I eat in terms of enjoying my food or checking in for my hunger and satiation levels.
Exercise - 2 days of weight, 2 days of treadmill, 1 day of outdoor running. Total of 5 days.
