Bee, I will do the same thing. After breakfast we need to buy a few groceries though it is amazing we need anything with all that we brought. We’ll probably walk in the water near the shoreline. We are taking Rob to dinner at Embee in Arroyo Grande, the best restaurant on the coast. Whitney is getting takeout for herself and the boys. Have a good day.

Good morning all slept well and grateful. Thanks for the start June. Praying your wound is healing nicely.
Bee again so happy your internet issues are resolved.
Audrey happy you arrived safely and I just LOVE you 64 degree temperature. That must feel heavenly. LOL there's always something in the grocery line that is needed. Enjoy your meal out.
Today I shall KOKO and enjoy a wonderful pasta fest. Right now it's very cloudy and very humid here. It poured buckets last night. Hopefully that is over with now. Time will tell.
Waving and shall CBL

Had a great sleep and feel rested this morning. Will be attending church in a little while and then will probably cook for us and the kids. I shall walk after this post and coffee The birthday party last evening for the little one year old was fun but a little over the top IMO. It was a luau - there was carved fruit, grass skirts, a GIANT slide and splash pool, a real inground pool LOL, snow cone machine, full course meal with pulled pork, personal cakes for all the children, etc. The kids had a great time! There was about 50-60 people in attendance. The baby is the daughter of one of Laken's high school friends. The grandmother that hosted had painted her garage walls and floor for the event and installed a brick wall and steps to enter the side door which was where the tables were set up to eat. It was decorated beautifully and looked like a tropical resort - Grandma looked like she'd been thru the ringer. It was elaborate to say the least. I opted to eat at home but enjoyed conversation with a few people I'd not seen in a while. I left before the baby opened gifts but I'm guessing that never happened. The sweet baby looked exhausted and ready for bed when I was heading out. June, thanks for getting us going Bee, hang in there! Audrey, your weather sounds so fabulous! Wish I was there. There aren't any cool beaches around my area. Maybe up North. Ann, we also had heavy rain yesterday but it did cool things off a little. glad you had a great get together last night. Becky, I'm not fond of microwave eggs either but they will do in a pinch BBL...

Good morning, June - Bee - Audrey - Ann - LaDonna - Becky - Cathy - Susi - and AWL!!!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students enjoying summer vacation... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
Yesterday's hellacious thunderstorms have finally passed. We had a tornado warning in our township before we headed out to Son#2's, and rotation was observed in the clouds just a few blocks away from us. We got to The Plantation (that had had NO rain) and storms rolled in around 6 PM, just as Son#2 & DDIL were leaving. Power went out for the third and final time around 8:45 PM so we, MissMilla & MrLogan, and Hazel the dog had an evening by candlelight until after 11 PM. We know they don't have power back yet; on our trip home we ran afoul of the detour caused by the downed 26,000-volt lines 😲. Another Toots&Diva'Venture is in the books.
Today? Some list-making. Perhaps an errand or two. NASCAR (Loudon NH) if weather permits. I have no idea what dinner will be, although we do have pork chops and another Salisbury steak meal in the freezer.
Coffee... ☕️☕️☕️... morning prayer... and gratitude for an absence of thunder (and lightning)...
🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜

I will KOKO ~ Scale was 161.4 this morning and feel I might be closing in on the next decade. Food continues to be healthy and tasty and delicious as I stay OP. Still no exercise but it will happen eventually...hopefully!
BEE: Hooray for having internet again.
LADONNA: That sounds like a party for the adults and NOT for the birthday baby! When I right click on the screen I get a box that pops up and I click on "undo" but it doesn't always work. Will try control z next time! Thanks on the positive feedback on the new photo.
AUDREY: Hooray for making it to the beach and enjoying the cooler temperatures. I remember taking our son to the little league finals in Saudi Arabia. It was a LONG drive to Riyadh, hot, and miserable and then the coach for my son's team didn't show up because he wanted to watch his own children playing SO I had to be the coach BUT since I was a woman the fathers of the boys wanted to do it and kept referring to me for how to put people on the field. It was....interesting. There ARE a lot of ways to combine the ingredients we have at hand. So many options that one could mix and match and create without repeat for awhile...though many of the meals do end up tasting similar.
ANN: Thank you for commenting on the new photo...thought I should put something more current up. Hope to have something NEWER in a few months or so!
SUSI: The recipe sounds tasty! I bet it would be good. I have seen hummus mixed with an equal amount of labneh by mothers wanting to make it go further. I have also seen chickpea vegan "tuna" sandwiches. I end up eating a LOT of beans! Hope you were able to spend some time in/by the pool!
BECKY: Thank you for the positive feedback on the new avatar. Interesting that the calf understood you when you told him that he dropped it on the ground (the pellet). Too funny! I think it would be hard to raise animals and let them go...it seems you would make friends with them over time. I hate running out of propane...especially when entertaining OR in the middle of baking!

Ann What a lovely Saturday night for you all. Sorry though that the neighbor's barking dog made you relocate inside. Pasta day!!! Lovethat you have this family tradition to enjoy.
Audrey So lucky that your family members can join you and enjoy special restaurants. Wonderful start to your vacation. LOL. . . We have a fully loaded truck when we fish in n. Quebec. Yet we stop in the last town before the remote outpost to buy the last items like milk, fresh produce, and the best affordable Early Grey tea. It's still hours away from the outpost, so it abpnecessary stop.
Bee That is the best that we can strive for-- do as we know to fo.
Becky Love the stories about Ethel. Would be funny if she ended up with asidekick. You always are able to make "do" when the propane fizzles out. Hahaha . . . I can andhabe eaten microwave eggs, but I am not a big fan either.
Cathy Wahoo. . . You are inching closer to that new decade. I can feel it coming! You go, girl! Thx so much for the many suggestions for bean combinations. Today I may make a Tuscany white bean soup for 2 lunches & freeze any extra. (I have canned beans to use for that). What a beautiful picture of you!

LaDonna You sure have a pleasant Sunday planned. Enjoy your time with your church family and family. I always do not understand the reason behind over-the-top events. I wouldmuch rather put time, energy, & money to do some good in the world. Years ago, the chair had an all-female Xmas party for the dept. We were to buy a $10 Xmas ornament for a random gift exchange. It was childish in that the inner circle arranged the seating to give their bulbs to their friends. I asked ifnext year we could buy $10 worth of toiletries for a women's shelter instead. ButI know that is just me.
Mj You two have some adventures! Glad you could adapt and regroup while staying safe. Have a great race day!
Susi Sorry that the Diva gathering was postponed. Glad that you had agreat PlanB. We have a day offull sunshine forecasted. Yay! Hopethatyou have a chance to enjoy your backyard and/or your garden produce.

Back from a quick hood walk. No sun drizzling and humidity through the roof. YUCK is all I've got to say. At least we got out and Benjamin is a happy camper to be back home again. Can't say as I blame him one bit. Funny but he looks up at us as if to say 'can't you DO something about this' LOL too funny. June good goals for today. Love chicken Primevera. Keep cool during your second short walk. That's a great idea, June and I hope they go with your suggestion. I just can't wrap my head around those that have an animal and NEVER walk it! In all the time that I've seen Toni she is sitting outside dog barking while she is smoking her cigarette. She also has COPD which she told me all about as she was puffing away. Cathy your are very welcome. At first I thought we had a new person on board LOL. I agree...that new decade is just waiting for you MJ happy to hear that you are safely on the 'other side' of the storm. Mother Nature isn't playing very nicely with summer weather at all. I've never had a microwave egg. To me the consistency would be rubbery at best. LaDonna WOW is all I've got to say about that party! Wonder what will happen for 'sweet sixteen' I guess some people enjoy going way over the top. To me less is more. Nice that you got to visit with people you haven't seen in a bit. This is the last day for 'double points' on Hannaford brand items. I am going to take a quick inventory to see if it's worth it to make the trip. Even though it's just down the road a bit I am not one to shop when it's not necessary. Waving...and will CBL

I'm here. Jasmin, Sean and Torin arrived last night. They stayed at Carol's and Carol stayed here. Right now the are investigating the dragon exhibit at Allaire State Park and then will be going to the beach for a few hours. Dinner will be on the deck. Ann Lol. . . So Mr. B thinks that you have godlike powers. So cute. About the COPD & smoking, R's mom was on oxygen and still snuck cigarettes. Addiction is a powerful force. Their response was not to holdsnother all-female faculty & grad. Student party. So. . . That was that. Any way, it felt a lot like the "old boys' network" was flipped. And my push for more an inclusive event with gift-giving geared to charitable end went flat.
Susi Yayyyyyyyy! Enjoy every moment of your time with Carol w/ your niece, Jasmin, & her family Thinking out you spending this time w/ Torin has me grinning from ear to ear!

June I know. I was a very heavy smoker for many many years. I quit when my BF at work had s stroke and could no longer smoke. We did it together. For her it wasn't so bad. For me it was as if I lost my 'best friend' So I totally get the addiction thing. It's by far one of the hardest and best things I did for myself. LOL yes Benjamin things we are 'super heroes' Sorry they didn't go with your super suggestion. Susi so very happy you get to spend quality time with all. Enjoy We did end up going to Hannaford's after all as the list seemed to grow. It wasn't crowded and we were happy to score their chicken tenders and fully cooked chicken patties that they have been out of for the past few months....so a good trip We put it all away and walked Benjamin. Now it's time for a relaxing cup of coffee.

Bee I hope all is well in Beeville.
Audrey Have a good time and enjoy dinner with Rob.
Ann Enjoy your pasta fest. You do get plenty of rain for sure. It's sunny here but also hot and humid. It's miserable out there.
LaDonna I'm glad you slept well. I haven't even gotten 7 hours of sleep any night in the past week. I don't know what's been up. I hope you enjoyed your walk and church. Sounds like to me the party was more for the adults but they will have pictures the one year old can see when they are old enough to understand more. I'm sure the poor baby was exhausted. I do hope it's a long time before I have to do microwaved eggs again. It's odd that it always happens on the mornings I cook eggs. We alternate eggs and oatmeal for breakfast. I guess that's a good thing because we wouldn't have known we were out of propane until dinner and we didn't have any leftovers.
MJ You and Toots did have some adventure last night. Hopefully most of the lines have been fixed by now.
Cathy You are so close to the next decade. It was odd that the calf understood about the dropped cube yesterday. I feed them their cubes along with feed in a different pen and they never see me putting it out. The smaller calves are big enough to start eating the cubes. So I guess he saw Ethel getting a handful so he wanted one too. It's not really hard to get rid of calves because we raise them to sell them when they are old enough. We are still tossing around the idea of selling the cows too in November but I can kind of tell Kenneth is having reservations. We would be able to get the money for them plus lease the pasture out but I really think it would be hard on K not to have that to do. I have found it hard the last 2 days not having the garden but we didn't have much left in it and it's getting too hot and dry. Running out of propane is a PITA because there is no gauge on the 25 gallon tanks to let us know we are out.
June Ethel isn't a working donkey now. We don't need another freeloader. LOL. My DFIL used to have a mule and that is how he plowed their garden. Ethel would have been sold a long time ago if she had belonged to him. We did have 2 donkeys at one time. One was a jack and the other a ginny. I named them Jack and Jill. One died and the other grieved herself to death. We always eat breakfast so yes I do have to make do with something. How long does your bandaging have to stay on?
Susi Enjoy your day.
