Thank you all for being so understanding and for starting the thread when I don't/can't make it on in time. I probably will keep checking in habitually unless I can't Today I am down a bit on the scale <161.4> and tried on bathing suits. The size 18 sent by my daughter-in-law at my request (though the size was a guess) is cute BUT definitely too big even forty pounds heavier and the size 12 shows me well from the front but also shows every bulge from the side. Ah well, the likelihood of me being asked to go swimming somewhere is minimal so...no worries!
LYN: What happens to the beach house when the family is not there? Is it rented out or closed up or does someone live in it from the family? It sounds like a LOT of work but also rather fun to get together!
CHERRY: Do you see any difference in the type of animal manure you have tried using? Just curious. I wonder if it matters what the animals eat in regard to the manure they produce...such strange thoughts and questions!
BEVERLY: Hope you are having good weekend!

Cathy, we don't own the house...we rent it. So when we leave on a Saturday, a new family comes in for a week. The owners of houses at the Jersey Shore make out well...We pay $6500.00 for the week as does everyone else....The owners make out well during the summer season. Ours is so expensive because it has a pool and is one house off the beach. It sleeps 12, but we are nine going in with other family staying at different times.
DH asked for pancakes for breakfast and after I clean up, I will start on my pies....we will probably order dinner out.
Have a good Sunday, my friends!

Good morning. I have not noticed any difference in the types of manure. The last kind I got from my neighbor was sheep manure. It is all very old and well composted. I know the sheep their son raised was well over 30 years ago. Sheep, cows, and horses all eat pretty much the same things.
I haven't got much on my agenda for today. I need to bake a loaf of bread and water my corn and potatoes. I'm sure there are lots of other things to do if I think about it, but I'm not really all that interested today.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Good morning friends,
Looks like rain here again today, we need the rain, my tomatoes & cucumbers are drying up.
I have quite a few tomatoes picked & need to go out & pick again. I may make some canned tomatoes today, or I had thought of canning some tomatoes & zucchini together. That is one of DH's favorite side dishes, especially as a side dish in the winter.
Our little buddy Jet is better. He spent one night in the doggie hospital, his blood sugar is lower & he seems like he feels a bit better. We just have to take it one day at the time & see if he gets markedly better. I see that diabetic dogs often lose their eyesight. If that happens, we will have to make some hard decisions about him. He is relatively young, not quite 9 yet, so we will see. At this rate, we may have to mortgage the house to pay his medical bills. LOL
Cathy, thank you for doing this little thread every day. I feel like I am having coffee with a group of old friends every morning!
Have a great Sunday all.
