Hope everyone had a great Sunday and will sleep deeply tonight.
Ann Yes, it is hard to gauge any gas in a canister without a gauge. We have never cooked w/ propane, but R is metal fabricator. So he knows all about tanks, gauges, and such. I never knew that you were were an ex smoker. Some day I will have to share why I never smoked even one cigarette. It is a funny story, but it might not go over well today.
Audrey Loved the mental image of Hayes braving the ocean waters. Hope that someone snappeda picture!
Becky That would be a hard decision for K to make. My college mentor, Agnes, and her husband Stanley had a large dairy farm, raised Morgan horses, and produced maple syrup. It was a lot of work even with sons, foster children, and hired hands. Eventually, he leased his land to Amish farmers. A son kept the syrup business going. Taking this steps were hard, but he enjoyed retirement.

I will continue to KOKO. Grocery shopping in the morning but it doesn't look like we need a whole lot. Shouldn't take long.
Sleep well all.

Rob, Whitney and the boys are leaving today. We have no definite plans. Last night’s dinner was outstanding. For our entree we all chose the swordfish with artichoke whipped mashed potatoes. Rob asked the owner how he made it. He roasted and puréed artichoke hearts and added them to the whipped potatoes with breadcrumbs for crunch. There were also cannelini beans on the plate.

Sorry that I didn't answer the question that Becky & LaDonna asked methods weekend. I meant to do so. But I was answering inmy phone sometimes, and that is distracting for me. As I was saying my prayers for you all tonight, it percolated to the top of my mind.
Becky I am to continue changing the dressing twice a day until July 26th.
Becky & LaDonna I will teach in person inthe fall. I have a great schedule: T & Th. Two 75-minute classes back to back. First class starts at 9:30 and last class ends to 12:15. I will have 15 mins. to get from class to class. i haveto check, but I think the classrooms' buildings are relatively close.

I will KOKO - Scale up after late night snack last night...was feeling peckish so had a cheese sandwich. It is warm today and humid. I got sweaty hanging the laundry on the lines. I still need to bring it in eventually and also make the bed with fresh linens and THEN...a nice shower and clean pajamas and settling in to sit and read!
JUNE: My daughter said she will teach in person UNLESS the covid-19 Delta cases keep increasing. She said Missouri is having HIGH numbers of new cases and hospitalizations.
ANN: What do double points gain you when shopping at Hannaford's?
SUSI: How fun to have your family there for a visit!
BECKY: I am sure it will be a big change for your husband if/when he decides to retire!
AUDREY: The little league finals were all Western parents (mostly) and no Saudis. I t was HORRIBLE at the hotel and we could not swim even during women's hours because we were...me and my daughter of 11 and she was "too old" but we could watch my son swim? Anyway, the men thought they knew more about baseball than I did though they did not know the boys on the team...it was interesting.
Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and has fun plans for the week ahead.

Yesterday was a very quiet Sunday. We lazed around, had Chicken Galore for mid-day meal, and ended the day with chicken soup for supper. NASCAR Cup series was interesting; there was a major crash in Lap 6, followed by a long rain delay, followed by the race finally being called off for darkness ten laps shy of its intended length. After that, PBS held our attention until a relatively early bedtime.
Today? Toots turned the airCon off last night. We'll see if the humidity lets that continue, although sleeping was fine. I need to go to the bank this morning, and this afternoon the Kressling has been asked to be part of an honor guard at the funeral home for a 90-something-yr-old Marine. List-making continues.
Coffee... ☕️☕️☕️... and morning prayer...
🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜🍉👣🍉🐜

Audrey Yes, it is! No, I have two different preparations. One course is introductory section of American history to 1877 and the other course is a section of World History for nonmajors. The US history course will have a new rest, which is fine with me. I never was enthralled with the other one.
I will have to do some preplanning though. W/ the C-19 pandemic among unvaccinated, I will consider a few flexibility scenarios for graded work.

Good morning all. Slept well and woke up refreshed. Win win. We had yet another horrid rain storm last night. This time we were forced out of the screen room as the rain was coming in. No clue what's on the 'weather agenda' for today. Our pasta rest was over the top delicious and we both enjoyed it. Today it's back to normal eating I shall KOKO and PRMH. The M will be 'weather permitting' June please share your 'never smoking' story I know of one gal here that was called to sub for the coming year. The other teacher backed out at the last moment. She will be teaching math at a local school...not sure what level it is. Because of some that have been vaccinated and others that haven't been, she will wear a mask while teaching. The school is fine with that. Good that you will be considering a few flexible scenarios for the graded work.
Becky happy grocery shopping and hope you find all that you need.
Cathy at Hannaford's they give you 'awards' every 3 months on the their store brand purchases. Every once in awhile they will double those awards. At the end of the 3 month period the savings that you built up automatically come off your first grocery purchase. We use a lot of their brand items so it pays off for us. Sorry the scale tipped in the wrong direction. Audrey sorry Rob and company will be leaving today. Your dinner sounded out of this world. I also love cannelini beans. MJ sounds like you had a wonderful laid back chicken day Our humidity is high as well. Waving and shall CBL

Cathy That blip will past. Must have been the night for wanting cheese sandwich or something. I kept thinking of having a few saltines with cheese. Nothing like fresh linens dried in the sun.
States like Mo. with the lowest vaccination rates are suffering the most from the Delta variant. It will be problem for schools at all levels and then suddenly people will be alarmed and confused. Mj Glad that you had a quiet Sunday. What anhonor for Kressling. Two young Marines presented a flag to Mom at Dad's funeral. It was very touching for all but especially for Mom.

I had a not so wonderful day with eating yesterday. Finding it difficult to get my newbie hat back on and keep it in place. But, I will keep trying! Today is a reset from yesterday - being back at work helps me. Water, movement and planning -
June, thanks for the start. I love the idea of collecting for a women's shelter in lieu of Chinese gift exchange. So much more meaningful. What a great schedule for the fall!
Audrey, wow that does sound outstanding! vaca sounds like its off to a really nice start. I agree some wedding's these days could almost buy a home or a big chunk of one anyway.
Becky, I hope you and K make the best decision regarding the cattle. I need a few things from the local grocery otw home today. Hope you find all you need.
Ann, we are also getting lots of rain and storms. Pasta fest sounds great. I made pasta salad yesterday and it was good. Randy grilled brats which is DS's favorite. Laken make homemade chili to go with all so we had plenty then we baked oatmeal/cranberry cookies for dessert. I did limit myself to one of those and they were small.
Cathy, have a good sleep. the fresh linens and PJs sound comforting.
MJ, sounds like a much needed Sunday for you and Toots. Nice for the Kressling to take part in the service at the funeral home.
Bee, how are things in Beeville today?
Susi, your day spent with family and sweet little Torin was wonderful I am sure! Hope your week wont' be too hectic.

Ann Goodness-- you could use a break from all the rain and the episodes of severe weather. Okay-- so bear in mind that it was the 60s and my mom was shocked. The story of why I never smoked even one cigarette. My Mom and I were outside when one of my Dad's buddy stopped by the house. He was smoking a cigarette. When he finished, he tossed it onto the cement pad. Five-year old June picked it up. I cocked my hand on my hip, wiggled my hip a bit like I was hot stuff. As I finessed the butt to my lips with a two-finger gesture like I had seen adults do, my Mom backhanded it out of my mouth.
Punchline: When I had to pick my lips off the cement pad, I knew that smoking was haphardous to my health! So I never, ever smoked.

So far we have no 'rain' right now. It was sprinkling earlier. I took Benjamin out the second trip and he's all set for a little while. He didn't seem to interested in walking as much as sniffing. I would imagine the rain brings out a lot of different odors for him to investigate June thanks for sharing. I can picture that in my 'minds eye' and it conjures up a cute image Especially the hip wiggline LOL. That would have done it for me as well. I never smoked in front on my mom or dad. My dad smoked but not in front of my mom or in the house. Mom never smoked or drank and only alcohol I remember her engaging in was an very occasional glass of wine on a holiday and never finished the glass. My dad was also not a heavy drinker. He would make cordials back in the day and 'celebrate' with family on holidays. Not sure what was involved in the cordial making or which kind he made as I was just a kid. LaDonna your meal yesterday sounded delicious. I absolutely LOVE homemade chili. Just being aware that the newbie cap is slipping means that you are still in the ballpark. Hope the working and water help out. Yes we could use a good drying out no humidity weather break. However I don't see that coming anytime soon! Susi thanks for the awesome shot. You keep me in the 'picture loop'

Dang! I finally had time to post and lost it. June - What a great story. Nice schedule. Becky - Hope you find what you need. Audrey - Dinner sounded awesome. Enjoy the rest of your time there. Cathy - Love the new pic. Enjoy the fresh linens and pjs MJ - Glad it wasn't a too much day. That's an honor for the Kressling. Ann - You guys need some drying out time. LaDonna - I find it much easier to stay on track when I am at work. At least you are still working on it. We had a lovely afternoon on the deck. Lily did very well with Torin. After some play time in the pool with Aunt Carol, he and I harvested cucumbers, green beans, bell peppers and yellow squash. He enjoyed his cucumber as his salad and they are taking some of the veggies home today. We had a lovely BBQ and then they went to get ice cream. This morning Jazz and Torin stopped by to say good bye although I may see them on the boardwalk around lunch time. I'm having leftovers and one of my yellow squash and green beans today. I made a multi color pepper and squash frittata for tomorrow and Wednesday. Daria will be down this weekend and we are planning on a winery tour. It's one we have never been to although we have tasted their wines at festivals.
