Each day, think about the positive actions that you made the day before and identify the challenges you are working on. Anyone with a positive commitment to the program can join. If you are the first one to post each week, please copy, paste and get us started. If you choose, pose the Question of the Day (QOTD) that solicits constructive ideas for following the plan.

GOOD MORNING! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
I hope each of you and those you love are happy, prosperous, calm, serene, productive, and healthy.
Yes I did: my long Sunday hike in brutal Texas heat. Home abs. Weights (arms) and rowing machine in unairconditioned gym. Work on the "evil stack" (paperwork and such I have been putting off for a year +). I have started a load of wash which guarantees rain once I hang it on the line. Oh well, rain will cool us off a bit. I am trying to do a lot of long-put-off-chores and such while biz is slow. Also stuff like oil change, pedicure, haircut . . . you know. Yes I can: wash, work up new project, home abs, walking breaks, chores, errands. Tonight: tough weight training class and then hopefully a swim. There have been so many issues with the rec ctr pool in 2021! Such a shame as it brings so much pleasure to so many people. Okay, I guess step one is getting dressed! Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

YES I Can: -Stay in the saddle since frightening scale number on Saturday -add on new activities -remember that nothing feels as good as feeling healthy
How about you?

Good Monday Afternoon, positive peeps π₯π₯!
Jan - sending good thoughts & energy your way, all day!
Nat - sending happy thoughts your way....vacay soon?
Janet - yay for working on the evil stack! My sweetie has been working on his....maybe eventually y'all will inspire me to do the same! You mentioned buying a new mower...will it still be a manual one?
Sally - yay for renewed commitment ! I'm with ya. I've been doing well UNTIL picnicking resumed.... gotta have a better plan for how to tackle in-person food-oriented events again. Grazing events seem to be my undoing, as does buying foods that I can graze on (or overeat) at home!
Yes I DID: --get out for walks even on steamy days --self-care by skipping a couple of exercise classes and doing easy, walking instead. --use restraint at grocery shopping today...
Yes I CAN: --focus, set small doable daily goals to create better habits.
Be well! Carol

Happy Monday Afternoon. Biopsy all done and wait for next steps. Didn't hurt much. Thank you all for your good energy today. I felt it! Just napping and letting my Sweetie do the lifting and watering for a few days. Anything good on Netflix to binge-watch girls? Sally: Yes to staying in the saddle and navigating around stress. I am sure I have tried to eat some fear and worry lately, and you're right, feeling healthy and light is way better than that moment on the lips. Janet: Good for you getting all your chores done in the off times. Yes to light books and easy reads. I may hit the library tomorrow for the first time since it closed last year. Miss it. I am interested like Carol if you're getting a power mower this time. I like our inexpensive electric from Home Depot. We have a small lawn, but thick. We got it because our neighbor had one and liked it. Hope your laundry got dry! Carol: I agree it is hard to stay OP on picnics where you don't bring food and our get togethers always seem to have munchies and a glass or two of wine. But life is meant to be lived and I would rather skimp on breakfast and lunch and spend my points on the fun times, wouldn't you? Nat: Hope everything is OK and you are just busy! Peace All, Jan

Good Morning!!! Love light blessings and good health!
Sally there is very little rhyme or reason to my business except that most (but not all!) years it is slower in July and August. My only predicter is my gut which gives me this "calm before the storm" feeling which so far has always been right. My gut is doing that now so that is a strong motivator to get so many dreaded chores out of the way now. Hooray for healthy and back in the saddle!!
Carol yes another "Janet-powered-mower", I just need a back up so I can have my primary one sharpened more frequently. As soon as the new one arrives and is assembled I will take the old one to the shop (where they hold on to it forever) to be sharpened. Hooray for: steamy walks, restraint, and doable goals. Those are all things that I am either doing or trying to do.
Jan, I am so glad that the procedure is done. It helped me when I was waiting on my results to know that these days everything is fixable and things fall into the category of really inconvenient/unpleasant - not life threatening. Also helped me to know that medical procedures tend to be overordered rather than underordered. I had quite a bit of discomfort after mine (about a year ago exactly) but it was in a particularly sensitive area of my body. Netflix series "4400", loving it much. Watching it at a friend's house as I do not have Netflix or a TV.
Yes I did: home abs, less walking but a couple of very short walks, hard weight training class, and the real workout - reloading salt into the water softener! Also got caught up reading law journals and trying to get creative as to what to put in my newsletter while the courts are vacationing. OP-ness continues. Most people have not noticed that I lost weight but one lady in my weight class last night - said stop losing and stay where you are. Yes I can: another day of chores and errands. Haircut, Triple A, Supermarket, cooking. stuff like that. Tonight: weight class, cardio, and of course home abs this morning. Squeeze in some law (newsletter) in there.
Okay guess getting dressed is a good starting place! love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Tuesday noon, positive peeps π£π₯!
Jan - embrace that recovery time, read, relax, let Sweetie do the lifting.
Janet - yay for Janet-power, LOL. Enjoy completing chores, maybe even enjoy getting haircut (I love having someone wash my hair, LOL)
Hello to Nat & Sally, busy gals.
Yes I DID: --enjoy a late afternoon bike ride with Sweetie yesterday. I'd skipped exercise classes to recover from recurrent leg pains, found that the biking actually felt better than walking so off we went. We did an out-and-back along a section of the canal path west of here. I said I'd try it for awhile and see how I felt but reserved the right to turn around at any point. It was very enjoyable, just going at an easy pace, Sweetie was able to whoosh ahead a few times and would then wait for me to catch up. Anyway, we saw lots of birds, a small marina, some beautifully landscaped yards that back up to the canal trail. Some folks actually provide a cooler with water for passersby on the trail (and a dish for the doggies). Someone else provides a little library box, where you can borrow books about wildlife and nature. Really nice. --not sleep well, mostly due to eating dinner late, and a little discomfort in my wrist. Oh well! No regrets. --make a list of little chores to do every day this week. Inspired by Janet, LOL. Today it's "empty one bag of paper/stuff" from the many.
Yes I CAN: --rest my body, focus my mind
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Carol biking really has helped my legs, I also ratchet down the speed/resistance to compensate for my knees. I am just now starting to push myself a little harder. I am glad I inspired you to work on your evil stack/to-do list.
Yes I did: Home abs, cardio, weight training class. A lot of errands, numbers are up here I want to knock out as much stuff as possible in case there is another shut down. Spa services - hair cut and my eyebrows professionally done. Just a tiny bit of law done but biz slow this week. Not as many AP this week as usual this week but a lot of other really important stuff being accomplished. Yes I can: home abs, work on stack before oil change, oil change. Chores. Hopefully some law done this afternoon and sneak in a quick walking break. Tonight: double header. Yoga and barre. Better dig in and get started! Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Wednesday.
Going to be a warm day here. Highs in the mid-80's. LOL that's probably a low summer temp for some of you. Lots of errands to do as I just rested and read yesterday. Grocery shop for healthy cooking. Have to admit I made homemade peach ice cream yesterday, shared it with a good buddy, and just had a small cone last night. Ice cream isn't my big temptation, it's chips. Focusing on eating healthy foods and maintaining weight right now.
Janet: Thanks for the the Netflix idea. I saw a good WWII pic on Prime called Waiting for Anya. Glad you are getting things done and working on the paper clutter.
Carol: I want to walk the Canal Trail! What kind souls to leave water and books for hikers to enjoy. Like Janet, I also make a To Do list every day. It works, I get so much more done. Also make one for my Sweetie on weekends...LOL.
Sally: Have a good day and do something fun! Laughter is good medicine I find.
Nat: Sending a hug and send us a wave to know you're OK.
Better get on those chores and errands so I can relax with my book this afternoon.
May we be happy. May we be healthy. May we live in peace.

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health!!
Jan low eighties! I hope you have a good warm sweater handy!! Hope you are okay and remember to both breathe in and breathe out. Homemade peach ice cream sounds really, really, really good.
Yes I did: continuing to slog through the "evil stack" and the "to do" list. Yesterday I got my oil changed and rewarded myself with a pedicure. A little bit of law but not too much. When I could not sleep last night instead of just tossing and turning I did more work on the evil stack. Getting there. This morning I have started a roast that is for someone who is supposed to help me with some chores tonight. I am not making bread. No reason for me to not stay OP, I do not eat roast. I did not even get to my full ab circuit yesterday and only a couple very short walks but did do a double header last night (yoga/barre). I managed to get 1615 minutes of activity last week, goal is 1680 so I am calling that a win. Yes I can: home abs, weights at gym, in person WI, and maybe a swim. My first in person lawyer meeting in 18 months over lunch. I am guessing that is behind the sleepless night!! Some law this afternoon. Evening of chores tonight. Yes we can! love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Thursday.
Just a happy Mantra today:
"It takes courage to say YES to rest and playing in a culture where exhaustion is seen as a status symbol". --From Summer Sister Series--Brene Brown
Saying Yes.

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan I had not thought about exhaustion being a status symbol, wow, I must have much status. It is difficult for me to rest though.
Yes I did: assemble new mower (still no engine), it works way better than the last one and should cut the grass better even though it is much smaller. Other chores. Down another four pounds at WI. (I am losing at a healthy rate, my WI is monthly not weekly, in fact this one was about six weeks later). Home abs, short walks, and weight workout. Many more chores done. A little bit of law. My first in person law meeting in about 18 months. Great to see people. Yes I can: use my new mower for yard gym! Then I think a swim. Law. I have no projects right now and am hustling to find stuff to put in my newsletter. Not sleeping well. I do not do unemployed well. Step one is get dressed! love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Friday Morning, positive peeps π£π£!
Jan - love your mantra!
Janet - yay for assembling that mower and yay for the scale victory!
Waving hi to Sally and Nat
Yes I DID: --good walks Wednesday & Thursday, one at the golf course and one around the neighborhood. --zoom circuit class, using very light weights. ballroom dance zoom avoiding any twisting motions and taking it easy on lunges --survive Sweeties birthday dinner out with 5 friends at a steakhouse. Used moderation mostly. But we did share an outrageously calorific dessert...
Yes I Can: --wrap presents etc as today is sweetie's actual birthday --just accept that we are going to make our traditional ice cream cake tonight. I think I will skip WI tomorrow, why torture myself?!
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health!
Carol good for you for SHARING that dessert - portion control. Good for you for still enjoying your workouts with modifications.
Sally it can be hard for me to stop once I start. That is where all of my COVID weight came from. Getting the stuff out of my house and stocking up on healthy alternatives has helped me.
Yes I did: use my new lawn mower -- it is way better than the old one and I was able to cut my entire yard in two hours instead of two days. Wow. Also, home abs, short walks, spinning class, and a swim that was interrupted by another issue with bodily control at the rec pool. I am still working on my newsletter, I found a stack of journals that I had not read, and I have an idea for an article. The new job has not come through yet but I would like to get my newsletter out either over the weekend or first thing Monday morning in case it does. If it doesn't I still have all those journals to read and my article. Yes I can: home abs, continue with chores, more research on home repairs (right now you cannot get a repairman on the phone they are all so swamped). Walk, maybe a swim or weights. Tonight is Mass. Numbers are climbing here, it is a bit scary. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet
