Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.

Jan - Wow on the protein and fiber!
Lori - So sorry. The new aide was just given a Thurs PM job so can only stay til 3. I think that would be too much of a rush. That would leave Mondays and Fridays but probably not til mid or late August. Want to come up with a tentative date for our calendars with a "to be confirmed" caveat?

Day 154. Tracked calories yesterday as an experiment. Still figuring out Cronometer, but it's good to see that my planned foods were spot-on with what should be my calorie allowance (~1500 calories). AND I stuck with the plan. I'll keep doing this until it becomes more of a hindrance than a help.
Nancy: Thanks for the carb info. Yes, it's net carbs I look at. Is the number you gave me for one serving? How big is it? And how's the pasta taste?
Happy Tuesday to everyone. My usual Tues. afternoon and evening commitments are not happening today, so I'm hoping for some productive activity around the house as well as some down time for reading.

Nancy, thatโs too bad about the 29th. I donโt think Iโll be able to get off after August 9th. Weโre back in the office full time, plus we have an Alumni weekend and football players coming back mid August...could we possible meet earlier on the 29th, maybe walk first - then lunch...just a thought.
Meg, I really like the pasta. If the nutritional stats work for you, I highly recommend trying them. So far, I had the penne and Mac n cheese - both very good, nice size portion and 1/2 the calories!
Jan, hope your day went well....Awesome stats!!
My bathroom scale needs to be replaced. No longer accurate - I thought it just needed a new battery but no such luck. Iโll guess Iโll practice a no scale challenge until I get a new one.

Lori - I could leave at 10, get there 11, walk til 12, eat til 1:30 and be home at 3. Or we could skip breakfast and eat a relaxing meal when we get there and then walk til 1:30. Whaddayathink?
