Lily is at the vet for her mass removal. They also saw something small on her front paw so they are going to take care of that as well. The worst part is the waiting. Scale was up this morning but I expected it between the weekend indulgences, sodium and stress. I still have plenty of cushion. I greatly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes. Thanks for the start June. Audrey - There will be plenty of time to get back on track when you get home. Loved the wine label. Ann - That's great that you keep her informed of Benjamin Becky - Glad you got something for Scooter. I can understand K's reluctance to fully retire. I have plenty of spring/summer/fall hobbies to keep me active but not much for winter. Cathy - Good luck with the power MJ - Cheers to your dad and happy anniversary to DS1 and wife. Sounds like a fairly easy day in the Diva world. I think the ac is on in my house from about mid-April until October. Bee - Happy clothes shopping. LaDonna - Glad your appointment went well.

Susi yes the waiting s the absolute pits. I can't imagine how hard it was to give Benjamin up after 9 years. About the weight...as you said you still have a cushion. The 3 S's do it for me every time...sugar sodium and STRESS!
Love looking at that sweet avatar. Brings a smile to my face.
Off to grab a coffee.

June, Dr. T was as cute as always LOL - he is usually pretty quick with visits and matter of fact. I asked him about the pain I experience when deep breathing and he said "nothing to worry about" "you may always have some discomfort but your heart looks great" - so I guess I will just be happy and maybe the pain will go away as time goes on. If not, I can deal with it. He said nothing about me gaining weight but I did not suspect he would. I am just to continue to FU with cardiologist and he said to let him know if I needed him in the future. Audrey, I always have good intentions for vaca but...at least you should have some good beach walks in and other activity. Enjoy that wonderful weather! Still lots of rain here and humidity. Ann, Its so hard to believe the smoke is coming all that way...wow. That was a great walk! Don't think I've ever been in a situation where I needed to put some weight on. My mom has lost so much weight. I knew she was losing but did not realize how much until the other night she asked me over to help her with something and she had on very little clothing (she usually dresses in layers even n summer) and her arms looked liked toothpicks! She worries over things more than anyone I know. She thinks everything is harmful and has about quit eating. Everything I asked her about she had a reason why we should not eat it. She's also really worried that I took the Vaccine. I did not even want to tell her but she asked me point blank and I did not lie. I knew she'd be upset. Becky, sounds like scooter had a great visit. I sure wish I could send you some rain. We have had a LOT which is unusual for this time of year but I'll take it over not having rain anytime. Cathy, glad you still have plenty good stuff to eat despite all the other going on (((HUGS))) Susi, I know its hard waiting - I am sure Lily will come out like a champ Bee, hope you find some good deals while clothes shopping. Do you have a Hamricks in your area? Its one of my favorite stores and so very reasonable. MJ, hope the spot ck goes well. cool name! happy anniv to son#1 and his wife and also happy heavenly bday to your pa

So happy that Dr. Travis put your concern at rest. He sounds like a wonderful 'on top of things' doctor. If he says your heart looks great than I'd take that and run with it I'm sure it's comforting for you to know that he's just a phone call away. Glad that you will continue to FU with the cardiologist. I tend to worry also so I can see where your mom is coming from. Sorry that she is losing weight and that she is upset about the vaccination. I had a friend once that found fault with every food that was put before her. I am not that bad as I am a 'foodie' at heart Hopefully you can suggest that she go to a doctor? Just a thought. I know how stubborn people can be. The air here is bad. We are in for more rain so perhaps that's a good thing and will filter out some of the particles they are saying are floating around out there. It looks like a HUGE HAZE over the clouds. I'm keeping my outdoor walking to a minimum for sure.

Audrey Enjoy your lunch and shopping.
Cathy Hope your electricity didn't stay off for long.
Ann Yes our fur babies and DH's do seem to be on the same page. Our air quality was okay this morning but it's humid again. This weekend it will be from Saharan Dust and the wildfires in the Pacific. Glad you got one walk in. I know you do love your outside walks.
MJ A toast to your dad. Happy Anniversary to son & his wife. The taxi is running today.
Bee I hope you found all you needed at the grocery store and hope you enjoyed clothes shopping.
LaDonna Happy your appointment went well. Glad your heart looks great. My mom always said older people don't need as much food when she almost stopped eating. She died at 71 so she wasn't old. There was a time I needed to put on weight when I got down to 117 but I don't have that problem now. I am comfortable and feel better at my weight now. You will get there. We have had more rain than we usually do in July and it's been a little cooler than average but that's about to come to an end shortly.
Susi I hope Lily does well at the vet. Yes we both need to find some outdoor activities/hobbies if we decide to sell the cattle. This is something he did with his dad starting back when his dad had hairy cattle when he was a young boy. It's a hard decision. I am with you on the AC. At night I have our window unit on where it will shut off and on according to the temp in the room but it's still on.

So hoping Lily does well, Susi.
LaDonna, no Hamrick's down here.
I found 3 shirtes, short sleeve, that I can wear under a top.
The wide eye opener this morning was the cost of toilet tissue. It has been 2 months since I purchased any. The same thing I bought 2 months ago, has increased over $7.00 in that time. Go figure?
Found everything I needed.
I never hear anyone talk about air quality in my town, in New Orleans it is different, ever so often they mention it.

Hi! Late checking in
Ann We have the same haze from the northern fires. Have heard some complain that it is impacting their breathing.
Audrey Hope your vacation continues to be nice. Bee Maintaining is great! Will you be sewing afew more dresses? That was my take, too. Plus the areas where the occuplastic surgeons worked yesterday were tender & swollen.
Becky Hope the meds keep Scooterin good health. You have done well staying on track.
Cathy Thx for letting us know that you are okay. Hope your electrc supply stabilizes soon.
LaDonna If you are like me, stress more than anything can impact weight. Glad that Dr. Travis could answer your questions & reassure. Hope that your mom can find some peace. Wish there was an easy way to get her to eat more and enjoy food. That had to be a shock to see how thin she is.
Mj Hope all went well for Toots at DocDoc's. Are you getting ready for the leadership camp?
Susi Wishing Lilly andyou all the best.

I can pick up Lily at 6:30. They removed the small second "something" on her foreleg (not paw as I originally thought) as a precaution and will test that as well. Results won't be in for nearly 2 weeks. They said she did very well.

Forgot to share with y'all, this week is the first week since last October 15th, that I have felt like I might survive, live long and do well.
I thank you all for all the prayers, you have sent my way.
Even though it has been a tough journey, it has been profitable to me, I have learned a lot --- about me and about my body.
Thanks for always being there when prayers are needed.

From June: Hope all went well for Toots at DocDoc's. Are you getting ready for the leadership camp?
Toots' spotCheck with DocDoc is A-OK. "Watch yourself in the sun; come back in a year." He also had DocDoc look at a lump on his wrist. Since DocDoc couldn't confirm that it's a ganglion cyst merely by palpation, we've got a hand specialist's number to follow up. I'll make the call tomorrow for an appointment after I get back from OH.
As for JLS prep, I've placed a couple of orders from Amazon for specific clothing that we don't use in our unit (not overly expensive). Now to hope that things fit. That our local unit has decided to hold a recruit training next week (four 8-hour days) is creating a cognitive dissonance for me. Too much, too rushed, in too little time - and, I suspect, with too few registered adult volunteers actually committed to being there. I have an uneasy feeling about that week so am setting up my and Toots' life to be as easy as possible. Then I've got Friday to finish up packing, and Saturday afternoon we're on the road (splitting the ~450-mile drive so I/we can get there on Sunday and not be totally burned out from hours in the car).

Susi so very happy that Lily made out well. It stinks waiting for the results. Keeping her (and you) in my prayers. I hope you can relax a bit now.
MJ good news re: Toot's doc appointment. Praying that all is well with the wrist. Safe travels.
Bee so happy to hear that you are doing so well. My prayers always go out to y'all each morning and evening. Wow to the increase in TP! That is insane!
June I have also heard people saying that it is impacting their breathing. I haven't noticed that but I do notice that my eyes feel like they have sand in them. Not sure if that's the debris pollen or humidity. All bother me. Carl complained of the same thing which he never does.
Becky I was able to take another hood walk after supper. It was 'short and sweet' but it always feels good to be out and about.
