Lunch is made, electricity has been okay so far but there have been cuts, we are doing well, and life goes on. I am happy we are doing well and healthy.
CHERRY: Thank you for the information on blossom end rot. I don't know if the pharmacies are open, if they have TUMS and if so...how expensive it would be. Perhaps there is another way of getting calcium into the soil? Hmm... What plants are giving you vegetables right now?
BEVERLY: Glad your jury duty case was easier than some and quick to get out of the way. Did you finish all the tomato canning?
LYN: Does your husband go with you to the beach for the family get together? Did you manage to get the pedicure or had they closed?

Morning friends,
Well, I am off to the courthouse again today. I have my fingers crossed that I don't get chosen for the jury today, as I know it is a murder trial. They said the trial should last about 3 days, so if you guys don't hear from me for a few days, you will know that I am locked down with the jury. I'm not sure if it will be a sequestered jury or not, but just hoping to be spared from it all together.
I canned tomatoes yesterday, gave some tomatoes to my neighbor, sent some to GS's other grandmother, still have plenty of tomatoes left on the counter! Then DH goes out & picks another basket!!! I would like to make some salsa. Maybe I will have time after the jury service is completed. Thank goodness, this is the last week.
Off to the jury room! Have a good day everyone!

Good morning. There are other garden supplies with calcium for getting it into the soil but I have no idea whether you have them there or not. I mentioned the antacids because I thought they might be the easiest to find there. Googling should give you names of other items used and you can see what you might have there. Finely ground egg shells is another way to add calcium. Here is one article on adding calcium: greenthumb-central.com/how-to-add-calcium-to-soil-the-four-best-ways/Didn't do much yesterday. It was hot again and I mostly stayed inside and read. Also did a few household chores. Today I'll need to water my flowers. I did a little bit yesterday. I also picked green beans. I'm going to have some tonight for supper. There were a few sugar snap peas that were ready. Not enough to make a meal so I just ate them right from the garden. There were only about a half dozen. Have a nice day, my friends. Edited to add good luck with your jury duty, Bev.

Cathy, my DH will come down toward the end of the week as he has court a few days during the week. I did not get the pedicure, as it would have cost me 12 dollars in tolls just to check to see if they are open. I don't know how they could be in business without a phone....My last pedicure looks pretty good and my cousin said there are places at the beach to get one, so I will see. I do have a callus remover machine which I can use. It works pretty well!
Bev, good luck with the jury duty... Waving to Cherry!
We went to the dermatologist and we out early. I have a long list of things I want to accomplish today, so I will get moving on them...
Have a good one!
