Friday's goals Let R eat the last part of the fudge we bought yesterday at Caeblas inW Va. It was only two pieces, which we nibbled in bits & pieces. I technically had my one piece. So... no more nibbling. I have leftover baked cod & baked potato from dinner. That will be lunch. dinner to be determined.
We came home after aday trip to discover that we had no water. I was happy to have a few bottles of water so that I could clean the surgery sites. I am very lucky in away that the post-op care routines overlap otherwise it would have been a 3-week span. My stitches on my calf get removed on Monday and tending to my facial sites end on Tuesday.
Today I amchoosing to unleash "the beast mode" to start a week of cleaning and sorting. Going to turn on some tunes, grab whatever supplies I need, andhave at it. Do not tell R, his cellar is not off limits.
Will check back later.

Back with my day planned and tracked. Coffee was especially good this morning. Sounds like another cup before I head on out to walk. Bee enjoy the smell of fall. That has always been my favorite season. I'm sure that pesky scale will dip back down. Enjoy taking your pictures. Enjoy your day. It's so nice to hear that your energy level is rising. Cathy sending prayers your way. Huge hugs as well. Yes the scale will dip when the time is right. You are doing well KOKO'ing LaDonna so happy to hear that you and Laken had such a wonderful time. I bet that salad was delicious. Nothing like a fresh crisp salad with toppings June the absolute BEST PART (or one of them) is the fact that last night I didn't get one mosquito bite!!!! The combo of the bug zappers citronella torches and fire pit worked Happy your found water to tend to your surgery sites. I bet you'll be happy to get stitches out. Happy cleaning

LaDonna, have you read any Eugenie Price books? She wrote about Savannah and the islands. I remember reading about Sullivan's Island, just cannot remember if it was a whole book or mentioned a lot in a book.
She did extensive research, using real people who lived, and added some fiction. Hernotes on her research, which were extremely long, were as interesting as the books.
If not, treat yourself.

June, we parked at the beach access right beside Ft. Moultrie. I missed that you took a day trip to W Va. Did you ride in the mountains to pick up the fudge? Thank goodness u had some water to clean the sites. I am also in beast cleaning mode today. Just popped back on for a sec.while I rest a bit after my walk. Got good and sweaty outside.
Ann, how wonderful to enjoy the great outdoors with no pests!
Bee, I have not read any of the Eugenia Price books but will plan to check on those! They sound excellent!. Sullivan's Is. is near Charleston and Dorothea Benton Frank included the area in many of her books. She had some great reads and recently passed away.

That is true, LaDonna. The Eugenia Price books are still great no matter where I think Sullivan's Island is.

Back from a hood walk. It's nice out there. Not as humid as it's been which makes it doable.

taking a snack break now LOL bee, Just looked at some of her books on Amazon and they look so good. I need to see if my local library has any. I love Savannah, too. I've been a couple of times. Once with hubby and I took Laken a few years back for a girls weekend and we had the best time. We rode over to Tybee Island which is just gorgeous. Thanks again for the rec. Ann, glad you had a good walk. It is a very hot and humid day here. Glad I got mine in early. Other movement today will be the house cleaning kine LOL

Bee, I just read that speed climbing is a new Olympic sport. Your scale must have been practicing. June, I’m glad you had a nice day trip. MJ, if you have extra cupcakes they will freeze well. Bob enjoyed leftovers from my June birthday this month. I am sure the Ohio trip will be good.
Turned on the tv and they were interviewing skate boarder Tony Hawk which the kids enjoyed. Cathy today’s LA Times has a big front page article on Lebanon

Bee & LaDonna- Thx for the book recommendation.
Bee I like books that have a "concrete" setting whether it is real or fictional. I admire both for different reasons. I like the context notes-- even in academic writing.
LaDonna Love that you are in"beast mode" with me. I ditched a few items from my vanity which did not make the cut in the Spring. I always tell R it is easier to discard more the second " look."
Haha ha we rode to Cabelas to look for arrows and astring for R's crossbow. I used my Vabelas point to buy fudge. It's a pretty drive along the zohio River.

I'm caught up on the reading but unfortunately don't have time to comment. Lily doesn't seem to know she had major surgery on Wednesday. Eating, drinking, peeing and pooping like nothing ever happened. Does not appear to have any pain from the stitches and is dealing well with the soft cone. We only did a little over 1/2 mile last night but this morning she was up to 1.5 miles.

Floors are all washed and dried, rugs beaten and back in place. More tomorrow. I'm done with the house for today. Still working on laundry. I still need to finish up the church bulletin and a few other church tasks.
Susi, how wonderful that Lily is feeling great. I think that is a positive sign! Sorry you are so swamped today. Hope the weekend will bring some rest and things that you want to do.
Audrey, yes Tony Hawk is cool!

Cathy, if you can find it online the LA Times article is Lebanon’s ‘Queues of Humiliation.’

LaDonna happy you got your walk in before the humidity. I will go again but once the sun sets. It's nice but I'm tired. You've accomplished a lot. I know how good of a feeling that is. Time to relax So very happy to hear that Lily is oblivious of her surgery. Those all all 'good signs' Thanks for the important update. Audrey yes I echo LaDonna Tony Hawk is very cool June what kind of fudge did you buy? I've done a little of this and that and this day is flying by. I'm tired and I think it's because of all the 'fresh air' from last night. Doesn't take much LOL. Later.

June I ordered necklaces and bracelets. My stylist(pastor's wife) will try to get me the best deal as she is trained to do and as she does for all customers. I did agree to do a virtual jewelry party in the next couple of months and I will will get some free jewelry then. Praying none of the spots are cancerous. I am happy you enjoyed your day trip.
Audrey Enjoy your dinner.
Ann Thanks. I don't think the orders go in until after Sunday when my stylist has an open house to show off the new jewelry line.
MJ I'm sorry about the delay in getting bakery items for YM.
Bee We all have blips on the scale. Could be water retention. What goes up must come down. I wish I could smell fall. Summer is just starting to kick off with normal summer temps this weekend and beyond with no chance of rain. It was nice while it lasted. My eyes are better for the most part. I do have dry eyes so they are never great but it is what it is. I love you named your walker.
Cathy I so admire you for being positive and grateful. Everything isn't perfect over here but nowhere near as bad as Lebanon. None of the friends I invited ordered anything I don't think but will still get small discount I think.
LaDonna I'm glad you and Laken enjoyed yourselves. You two do look more like sisters. This isn't $5 jewelry by any means but it is nice and it makes us feel pretty.
BBL. It's getting to be time to go outside to get the cattle in.
