This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

I am scrambling these days and just getting here in time to race-read and, today, drop a note or two. I dreamed last night that DH and I were moving in a few days and had not begun to pack. I am clearly influenced by Colleen, Shari, and a long-time colleague who just moved this week to her old home area in PA.
No blue dot days for me recently. I vow to do better. Martha, here is a big hug to see you through the gauntlet of quiz week in the midst of your concerns for your mom: ))))))))))))))M(((((((((((((. I am sorry she is struggling so greatly with her health.
Frieda, you are often in my thoughts and prayers as you, too, navigate your way through some rough passages.
Hooray for the dress! And BBQB being down at WI!
Exciting news about the nonprofit venture, PK.
I will likely be hit or miss here for the next few weeks. Just so much going on at work, and DH and I are getting our various summer excursions sorted out.

Good morning, T and CaTs coming in on quiet pawpads. We are quiet here, in beautiful home of DSis and DBiL. My DM is thinking she has it made living between the two of us. More things to kick up for the day, dinner party w framily later. Mick is content in our presence, still wondering about so many new adventures. Life on the lam with the parents.
Martha, many hugs to you, for strength and perseverance. Hope your mom holds her own, and you can focus on your testing.
Waving to everyone, wishing a good day all around.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!
Whew!! Work has heated up to a frenzy with multiple deadlines approaching. Fortunately things are coming together, man.....what a journey! I have a meeting with New Boss next week, to talk about what it is we do. So, we shall see what comes of that.
DS and I had fun going to procure him a trombone yesterday. They were saying that it helps if they learn how to read music ahead of time, like piano. DSD plays piano, so DH and I were thinking of swinging a deal that she could teach DS for $$$. Hopefully all parties would be agreeable, as DSD is considering music education.
We sent our first round of responses to XH.......this is so stupid. That's all I have to say about that.
T, I always love hearing about your summer adventures with Mr. T. I can't wait to hear what you decide!
Martha, I'm so sorry your mom is struggling. I hope she gets well soon, and you can stay sane.
Colleen! The Dress! How very exciting.
Karla, have things calmed down in your neck of the woods, now that all the craziness is gone?
PKate, as DH always says, "you can't fix stupid." So, there you go.
Frieda, find your mojo! Get back on the TM. That is always the differentiator for me.
Shari, enjoy your day! I can only imagine what DMick must be thinking.....A lease! how exciting!
Alrighty, time to get going. DS turns 11 on Monday, and his big gift is his first cell phone. He is very, very excited. I just got the party set up yesterday; need to figure out what else he wants to do on the actual day. Hugs!!

Morning lovelies. I'm still feeling the afterburn from my OTF last night. Got on the scale and down again from yesterday, lowest I've seen in several weeks. Motivation to keep going!
So go to be in company again, I feel that many of us are going in many different directions, work, life, kids, moves - so many changes amongst us!
Frieda and MCat - hang in there as you two battle it out, remember, CATs in the corner. Martha, so sorry to hear of DM health decline. Congrats on your test scores! Do you like the classes you are taking? Shari - I feel like one day you a in NY and the next moving to NC, how long has the move been in the works? How do DD and DS feel about it? Elvis is staying NY I take it? Susan - is the BH #2 on the market yet? Karla - yes, NE! Although I work SW and I could smell the GM plant just now. Mmmm. Andrea - how is CO? Thawing out finally? I think you are relatively close to Estes Park, right?
Anne!! Pkate! So good to see each of you swing by. I was thinking of you and conference time, Anne. PKate, Can't wait to hear more about the NP!
So the CAT count is TX: 4, IA: 3, NC: 2...when there used to be 3 in NY there will soon be ZERO!
Ok, back to work. I really need a day off! And one that is for me, no one else!

I am struggling today. It doesn't help that the dog woke me up a few times to be let out in the middle of the night. Disrupted sleep is only for the young. Anyhow, the usual worries are upon me.
T: Thanks for telling us you will be in and out. Yes, where shall your adventures lead you to? You two going to hike the Pacific Coast Trail?
Martha, of course hugs to you, as you try to help Mom from afar.
I STILL haven't gotten on the TM and today isn't looking good. I have a pedicure (yay) and a talk at the school (which is my TM time) this evening. Tomorrow is the day. I will watch my eating today.
I had a slice of birthday cake yesterday. It's 27 smarties!! Oh, and vanilla bean ice cream to go with it. There goes all my weekly points!
What I really need is a yoga class and then sleep.
Yes, Colleen, so many changes! It's exciting for some, (you, and shari) and tough for others (me).
Well, MCAT, at least you have your DH. He really sounds wonderful.

Thanks for all the hugs! Greatly appreciated by me.
I have to get at least 80% on each of my chapter quizzes. So far, 84, 80, 95 and 95. I have two more chapter tests and then a 3 hr final.
I do like the classes. I have learned some new stuff so. For me, having so much crammed in is a bit overwhelming at times.
I did talk to mumsey last night. She is going to a different care facility, I think today.
Been home for about 45 min. Fix dinner (Fried egg sandwich with bacon) and then some studying of vocabulary.
HUGS, HUGS
