Quick Post - Read a ll of your news and am thinking of you. Electricity cuts are increasing so we have 8 hours without now and that may increase. I have to remember to have electronic devices charged, grind coffee beans the night before to make coffee using the French Press and we will make sure we have more candles, mosquito nets and other essentials in case all gets worse.

Good morning friends, Well, my jury service is complete. I don't have to serve again for at least 2 years. I figure, by that time, I will probably be drooling on myself & they won't want me again anyway. LOL They had nothing on the docket for today & this was the last day of the 2 weeks.
Cathy, bless your heart! I guess you are just used to this kind of things, but I sure do wish you the best. Hopefully, soon, there will be peace where you are.
Cherry, I am sure that your garden has started producing. Isn't it fun to have your own fresh things right in your own back yard? Today, I am making WW refrigerator bread & butter pickles. I haven't tried this recipe yet & I am looking forward to it.
Lynn, Hope you are having a great time with your extended family. A beach house sounds just plain lovely.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. Gosh, Cathy, I hope your country is able to get its act together soon. The whole world seems to have gone crazy and the pandemic certainly added to it.
Yesterday we had a severe thunderstorm, strong winds, and hail. Some of the hail was almost the size of a ping pong ball but thank goodness not a lot. More were marble sized and smaller. The power kept going off and on, even after the storm was long gone. A few were just blips, but most lasted long enough to kick on the generator for several minutes. The hail didn't do too much damage to my garden but the wind laid my corn flat and the hail broke off some of the stalks on my summer squash and punched a few holes in the chard and lettuce leaves. Today I'll have to see if I can find some stakes and prop up my corn with the stakes and twine. I think today I'll run into town and pick up some garden stakes and run a few other errands.
It was weird, yesterday the temperature dropped from 90 to 71 during and after the storm. The temp in my house was 75, but it felt hotter outside in the 71 temp than it did in the house. I suppose the humidity outside had a lot to do with it.
Have a good day, everyone.

Just packing the last of the things I need today and will not take off until noon tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing as sometimes the traffic can be crazy.
