Good morning.
Its snowing but I don't think it's going to amount to much. It's supposed to turn to freezing rain which, imo, is worse than snow. Hope it doesn't last as I feel sorry for people who have to finish prepping or who may be traveling today. Lucky for me I'm just going around the corner tonight to my niece's & tomorrow, same corner, to my brother's.
Hope everyone gets everything done & can enjoy a little r&r.

Linda, I've only had French toast casserole once & I absolutely loved it. I could easily eat it for dinner.

Good morning. I was awake at 5 this morning, and got up at 6. Been drinking coffee and checking the weather.
I'm going to wait and see whether I will go in to town for Mass this afternoon at 4. If it has snowed and the wind is blowing I'll stay home. I'm not driving that far in blowing, drifting snow. Tomorrow I'm definitely staying home, although I think my son will be coming. He said he's going to try. The latest forecast doesn't sound quite as severe as it was, at least as far as snow accumulations. The wind will still be blowing and we are still under a blizzard warning, however.
Today I'm going to make some fudge and perhaps a pan of bars that I can take along when/if I go to my neighbor's for dinner tonight. I also have to wrap a Christmas gift for my son.
Now it's time for another cup of coffee. Have a merry Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Good morning! Enjoying Day 2 of not being up, out the door, and on the road.
I'll be leaving 🐶 alone for the first time this afternoon, hoping that the furniture looking familiar and the Cartoon Network will make it okay for me to leave for a bit; I really want to go to Lessons and Carols; fingers crossed. I don't think today is when I want to figure out the bus line, so will see how Uber does finding me.
I really stayed quiet yesterday and didn't get in bed aching last night, so hurrah for healing. I actually felt pretty productive, getting the desktop computer set up, the LR furniture positioned (at least for starters) and some order established in the kitchen (enough for heating up take-out and making coffee, LOL.)
I want to ride the indoor bike when I get in tonight (I figure it will take hours to find clothes and get ready). J has 5 services to play this weekend, so maybe even some TV tonight.
Everyone stay safe; wishing some comfort and joy for all.

Merry Christmas Eve! A rainy day here but it feels like a cozy indoor day. Doing indoor things and gave myself time off from walking. If it is clear as promised this afternoon I may want to head out for at least a short walk.
Sauce with sausage, and turkey meatballs warming in the crockpot and will assemble lasagna, salad, and make chocolate mousse pie later. My guests for dinner are neighbors so it is an easy dinner and easy day. House mainly cleaned and will straighten the rest as I go.
Planning reading, TV, and rest in between...ahhh....
Linda, French toast casserole is great. I love breakfast food of any kind.
Kathy, sounds like you are set to ease into the new apartment. I always have to pull everything out of boxes right away. My nest is important to me. Enjoy it as it takes shape. Hope the pup likes the new digs and is okay. As long as they have your stuff and scents they adapt quite well.
Sulli and Cherry take care in the snow. Hope everyone gets where they are going and cozies in for Christmas Eve.

Good morning all! I'm back from the mall and our daily walk. We stopped at the store for a couple more things and we're home for the day. Quiet day here, no plans. I'm making cheese enchiladas for dinner. DH loves them; I'll have 2 and stop. We're heading to DD's house tomorrow and we'll spend the day with the grand kids. I'm prepping a prime rib today and we'll bake it tomorrow at her house. sullicat1 & cherryt38 Hope the weather forecasters are wrong about the storm coming to you. Glad you're staying close to home. ksbruns Sounds like you're getting settled in quite nicely; hope the pup does too! lmenglish the casserole sounds divine! thyme2 I love chocolate mousse and it would be great as pie! Hope everyone has a restful day and you're enjoying yourselves. Like Linda said, it's warm down here in Texas but Santa will still be coming soon!

Good morning everyone.
I'm heading out to do a little grocery shopping since we have people over for breakfast tomorrow. And I'm making peanut butter blossoms for my nieces. Then I'll be happy to be done with baking for a while!
Tonight I'm going to the movies with my sister and nieces - a tradition we started a few years ago.
Hope you all have a good day!

I agree Sulli that freezing rain is worse. Linda - I’ll be stuck watching the Jets lose as that’s the only game I will get. However, I am rooting for Raiders and Packers. At least I have RedZone until I go to my sister’s later. What time should I be there for breakfast? Stay safe and warm Cherry Enjoy the new surroundings Kathy. It’s amazing how adaptable animals are. Beth - Enjoy the planning, reading and, most of all, relaxing. Linda – It feels so good to be done, doesn’t it? 100 - Hope it's not as crazy as it is around here. I’m left with laundry and that’s it. My niece and her BF will be here later today and we all go to my sister 4 doors down. I have planned my day as best as I can with the things I have control over. I will limit it to one chorizo/chicken empanada for lunch and use portion control for dinner. Tomorrow is my big indulgence with my cousins and the gym is closed so I need to save all my points for that.

Good morning from foggy, cloudy and humid Central TX.I woke up to 68 degrees early this morning.Rather my cat woke me up early again this morning.
Sulli,We don't get much ice or snow around here but I agree ice is worse.
Linda,We are having warmer temps today and tomorrow also with some rain.
Cherry,I hope the weather improves for you.
Kathy,I am glad you aren't having to rush out.Dogs are very adaptable to changes.
Beth,Enjoy your dinner and your down time.
Linda72,Was the mall crowded or did you walk before the shops opened?Good for you in getting in your daily walk.
Deb,Email me some of that fudge. On second thought the scale told me not to eat anything today.Enjoy your day.
100,Peanut butter blossoms sounds good. It's nice to have different traditions on days like this. Susi,Enjoy your day with family.
I don't have much planned for today so will basically chill and maybe go into town as the fog clears.

It was a beautiful sunny 50 degrees here yesterday which enabled me to run many errands in my long sleeve tee. Hopefully today will be similar. I still have a few errands to run. Christmas Eve services tonight will be my focus today. Ready or not it will be time for celebration and peace. Whatever you are celebrating, may you find peace.
