Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. It's pouring out right now. I pray that it lets up in intervals so that we can take Benjamin out to relieve himself.
Other than watching radar nothing on the agenda. This is the downside of owning a fur baby.
Waving and shall CBL

Perhaps this is TMI but stopped raining long enough for Carl to take Benjamin out. Mom is a VERY happy camper.

Such a dull dank day. I need some 'chicken soup for the soul'...have a pound of hamburg in the fridge which I'll turn into meatloaf along with mashed potato (Carl will have gravy on his) I'm not a fan and we'll have peas and carrots with a Rhodes French Roll. That will brighten up this day Should I not get back to post I will read. Our internet keeps wigging in and out. No clue why. Hope y'all enjoy a blessed Sunday.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! We woke to a muggy mess this morning. Our area was inundated with t'storms and tornado warnings all evening. DH and I were trying to watch the Olympics and suddenly both cell phones and both our tablets "went off" and made a terrific noise. It was the tornado alerts which lasted another hour. We missed a lot of the conversation surrounding the Olympics broadcast because of the alerts on TV regarding the weather. At least it was all settled down by the time we went to bed.
Ann ~ Hope your weather improves. Sorry about the wiggly Internet. I hate when that happens. Our cable was doing that to our TV last night, then the winds started up and everything in the house seemed to flicker. Glad it is sunny out now, even though it is going to be very hot and muggy today. I'll be staying indoors.
I just brought up all the makings for a pot of bean veggie soup. I finished up the last of mine last week and now need some more. I also brought up one chicken breast to chop up and put in the pot. I really like it best with just a hint of chicken in it. Also I have all the makings for a bulgur/mango/avocado salad which I'll probably make tomorrow.
Nothing on our agenda today either. DH asked me this morning and when I said "nothing" he just beamed!! Don't know if I mentioned it, but he found a new home for our gas grill that has been taking up space in my garage. We don't use it and I tried last year posting it on Craig's List but there were a gazillion of them on there already and I never got a bite. This year I put it on FB Marketplace and same thing. I had asked DH about asking around since he is in and out of restaurants with young employees all work day. The other day he asked and found a young single mom who really wanted it. So he took it to her work place and had a couple of guys move it from his truck to hers, and she went home happy.
I can now get to the shelves that hold our planting supplies, so when this flower season is over, we can get rid of what we don't need, and have room to store the ones we are currently using. It will be nice to have that shelf all cleared away. When Fall comes, we will need to make room for our new tables and chairs in the garage to store them for the Winter.
I decided rather than give up on my book (because the write up sounded really good) I just started it over yesterday. I had only gotten about 25% of the way into it, so I started over and now I am well over 50% and will be reading some more today. I expect to finish it in the next few days. Meanwhile I have downloaded a few more, so I need to get along with it. I was doing so well when I was still in school and sat and read every day.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue sometimes that will happen...you have to be in the right frame of mind to read. I've done that before...started it again and second time around it all clicked.
It stopped raining so we got Benjamin out there to perform a second time. We are ALL happy campers.
Our tv wasn't wigging out last night but our lights were flickering. Didn't lose power so that was a plus.
I am going to simply shut down and enjoy this day. It's humid and sticky out there also. A few trips in the yard is all we will do for Benjamin. Tomorrow 'they say' high 80's...hopefully it won't be humid!
Waving and wishing all a wonderful peaceful and happy Sunday!

Hi all,
We are back from the Cape and even though the weather was windy, gloomy and not great, we had a wonderful visit with family at dinner and at the house. We laughed and visited and it was not nearly enough time so I’ll go back Wednesday and maybe Thursday. My dilemma is with the dogs and they show the house, I can’t leave them home. Then I thought- I can block showings on those days. I feel we’ve been at their beck and call for realtors so a break to see relatives is fine!
We had another showing today but no word. We have one tomorrow that is a repeat so I’m a tiny bit hopeful.
I had a broiled seafood platter with scallops, shrimp and haddock, a baked potato and pickled beets. Very good even if my tastebuds are still lousy.
We spent time at the house discussing the family reunion and clam and lobster bake next summer. There will be about 35 of us. We have a tent coming along with all the linens, tables and chairs plus a raw bar with oysters, shrimp and little neck clams. It’ll be fun. Our DD is California is a bit nervous thinking she may not be able to come depending on whatshisname and not being able to bring the kids out of state. I really can’t imagine any judge being so unfair! I told her it’s a year away and a lot can change. She has court date in September.
I’ll write personal notes tomorrow. We are watching the Olympics gymnasts now.
