This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends.
Just popping in to get us started. Not much on the agenda today so far. Right now we're just relaxing and enjoying coffee. It's super foggy out this morning, so not sure what direction the weather is about to take. Ha.
Have a great Sunday everyone! BBL

Good morning! Lora, that's just what I am doing, enjoying my coffee. It sounds as Merlin and CC are both doing well, phew! Janet, I hope you are able to get to swimming later today. It sounds as though you had a nice time yesterday at dinner. There is a whole lot of nothing planned for today. This is my last week before going back to school, which I can not believe! But I am going in this Wednesday and maybe Thursday to get my classroom sort of set up. There are too many meetings next week to actually get it completed in time. Waving hi to everyone!

Good morning, ROs,
Not sure what I'll get into today. It is supposed to be really hot, but right now it is a little overcast and there may be storms later, so I'm not sure how that will affect me. I might try to do a little bit of mowing in the orchard and maybe a little weed whacking. Yesterday I had one really great experience.... we only had one call in the morning and got back to the station by noon. A little while later I looked outside and there was a couple taking pictures out in the parking lot. I wasn't sure what was going on so I opened the door and the fellow said he had been a patient of ours. Well, I knew exactly who he was and I almost screamed with happiness to see him! I don't mention a lot of my calls, but I think I did talk about this one last year as it was one of the best calls I ever ran when EVERYTHING fell into place and this man survived a massive heart attack out on the bike trail that parallels the Potomac. He walked out of the hospital 3 days later, and one month later had a quadruple bypass. He said that July 18th, 2020 was his birthday now, and he was so grateful he wanted to stop and say thank you and leave a donation for the station. We talked for a good hour or so, and filled in some gaps for each other. He took pictures of the ambulance that we were in for the call and we got pictures together....I HATE having my picture taken, but this was too special! I told his wife that when we got there she was doing CPR on her husband, and she had NO recollection of it! Anyway, these folks live a few counties away, so it was a long drive for them to come out and see us, and it was by good luck that I was the medic on duty yesterday. They took my number and we are going to keep in touch. I can't tell you how much I've thought of him/them, and how very much it meant to me for them to take time to come by and say hello! I rarely get to see the patients later, and this one was the one that I wanted to follow up on the most.
Lora, how great that Merlin and CC are making room for each other and getting along....it is good for both of them to tolerate each other! Glad you got that shopping out of the way. Have fun today, whatever you do!
Janet, your dinner sounds delicious! I hope you have a good day today...
Jill, I can't believe your summer time off is almost over! Where has the time gone this year? I'm happy to see that your DS is with family and doing well.
Susie, I was thinking of your family yesterday, and I just know it was beautiful! I hope you get some relaxing time today...
I'm going to go get some more coffee. I will probably be back later. I'm planning on making a Hello Fresh gnocchi with mushrooms and sauce this afternoon. I haven't felt like cooking the past few days and I need to use it up. I still have black bean w/ poblano pepper quesadillas to make, too. Have a great day, everyone....waving to all,
RobinMD

Hi Everyone, Today will be a no swimming day as storms are predicted about the time we usually go. I may try to do an application online for an Ezpass for paying tolls on the highways. They will be starting if they havent already to take pictures of your license and send a bill which in some ways is good because you dont have to have the actual cash when traveling. I really dont use the Pennsylvania turnpike too often but it can be used on the NJ bridges coming back into Pa as well. They are raising rates in January so my sister has been saying I should get the EZ pass so it still be cheaper than if you dont have one. Other than that maybe will go to the gym for a bit and listen to the recording for at least one of the trainings. If I can evidence for this other training I remembered I took not too long ago I may only need to do only the one hour recording and be done with it. That's about it besides reading and hanging out with Cassie. Waving to everyone.. Susie, hoping everything is going/ went smoothly.

RobinMD, what a special special event. You truly saved his life and the story will be told for generations in his family, for sure. I sort of remember you sharing about it about a year ago... I remember thinking of it when I was on one of my bike rides. You truly are a blessing to so many!
Janet, are the trainings you are listening to work related? I couldn't think of doing that right now... my brain needs a break. Down here the picture of license plate for tolls has started.

Robin Md,we were posting at the same time. That is so nice that your former patient came to visit you.. Once in a blue moon I used to run into parents of kids that I taught when they were in preschool. One parent I ran into told me that I inspired her daughter to be a doctor. How, I dont know but it made me feel good anyways. Jill, yes for work.. I cant find evidence of that other training I took tho..at least one of them should have been in there..the other one was somehow registered under our director's name so unless she has any copies which I wont know until we go back( August 9th) ugh! I will just go ahead and do 2 and then it will be done. When we go back we have to put our whole room back together as they made us move everything away from the walls..this is the 3rd time we have had to do this. So unless the admin staff did it which I highly doubt it will be the first thing we will have to do when we go back. Not looking forward to it..most likely we will do as a whole team going from room to room.

Janet, that has to be hard with all the Pre-K furniture! Our stuff is all moved to the edge each year so the floors/walls can be cleaned. I've moved to a different room for this next school year, so I'm going in on Wednesday to set it up.

Jill, I hope you will have some help as well. Finally dressed and I guess ready to go out. I got my lab work back this past Monday and while a lot of it was in the normal range my Aic has gone up from where it had been plus I have been putting on weight so need to watch more on what I really think are my carbs and do more exercising.. I use stevia mostly when I make my ice tea but wonder if that has any effect on my levels. I rarely drink soda anymore which is a big accomplishment for me so I really do think its the carbs more than anything. Ok, going to go to the gym for a bit..

Well the sun came out after I posted this morning but when I checked the weather I saw that rain was bearing down on us. So at 11am we started mowing, we just got in and took quick showers and BOOM! The sky opened up and down came the rain. I'm just glad to have gotten it taken care of. It was miserably hot and humid out there today, and little to no breeze at all. I think it was something like 92 degrees with 75% humidity. Yuck! That suffocating humidity just seems to zap all of your strength.
DD and DSIL are coming tomorrow. They'll be driving most of the day, as they're driving straight here from Milwaukee. They'll spend the night tomorrow night & hopefully get some rest, then pack up the pup and head home Tuesday.
Right now I'm just sitting and enjoying an iced coffee. Merlin and CC are both snoozing in their beds.
We've got a couple of small ribeye steaks that have been dry brining since yesterday and we'll have those with some sautéed mushrooms and side salad for early supper in a little while.

Lora, glad you got the mowing done.. we didnt end up going swimming and it never stormed as predicted. Had we gone then it would have of course. I got to the gym, food shopped, finished a book I was reading, watched one video recording for the training hours although I had to start over because something stopped and I couldnt get it to restart from where it was. I set up my laptop and started it again..
I completed the online application for the EZ Pass. It was a lot simpler to do than that form I needed to do for the dentist for both parts they needed. That was a royal pain!
Susie, I hope you are chilaxing with a big glass of whatever you like to drink.. I'd say wine but you may have seen more than you want after a wedding. Lol!
Tommorow I am having lunch with my scout friends. I'll be seeing some of them again soon for the camp event but 2 of them are really getting up in age and live at a assisted living facility ( where we are going tommorow). They arent going to the camp event. They can do. lady can do things if they come to them but its getting too hard for them to be a camper and walk around so much anymore. She said she will be 90 in December. I think the other lady has to probably be I bet about 93 or 94. Wow, right?
