This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc. 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW the WW Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself. 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good morning - SATISFYING SUNDAY... we need to feel satisfied with what we do - not always striving to do "more"! I have some chores that need to be done - but what gets done will be what gets done! I will concentrate on cleaning out the fridge - prepping fresh veggies, and cooking a healthy dinner! Ken was supposed to mow the yard - but guess what... it's raining again!
Intermittent internet today too - so I hope I can catch up!

Sue: So much baking these days. Do you ever actually eat all you bake/freeze?
Hey I saw the pics of Dutch Apple - I didn't realize the whole family was going!! WOO HOO for a nice time with Sarah's gang. Sure doesn't take much to jack up the grocery bill these days! I am confident that brood band WILL work great when we get it. Friends of mine up in the hills of Colrain have it and are totally impressed with it! Just saw a local woman from Rowe - further North and in the hills - and she loves hers too - so there is hope!
Lisa: I love that you are so "good" when eating out! Please send the 90 degrees this way... we are 64 this rainy dreary morning! Makes me want to crawl back in bed!
I did sit in the sun for a while yesterday. The girls were in the pool. Then Eden and I went to watch the Life Net Helicopter land. Some of you saw on FB that the pilot invited us to go look at and climb INTO the chopper!! Eden was so excited! She asked several questions - was shocked by the price tag of a new chopper like that one! LOL The pilot was wonderful with her and several other folks that were also around. The bike accident was way up in the woods, so it took a LONG time to get him off the mountain and down to the ambulance - then drive down the back roads to the landing zone. Once there Eden wanted to stay to see it lift off again, so we wasted quite a bit of time just waiting! We came back and she got in the pool again. My sister had come up to watch Zoë, because she didn't want to go see the chopper - she preferred to stay in the pool! Tracy ended up taking them home, on her way to dinner with Bob before going to work.
Poor girl has been forced in at 7 every day this week - tonight too. So she has a 12 hour turn around, and it's about a 35 minute drive! She's fine, and off tomorrow & Tuesday, so should get caught up on sleep.
OK Time to get moving here - Ken is watching the Olympics - which I do NOT enjoy, so my kitchen time will be around when he is watching that! I will go up and watch some DVR'd shows until he is ready to leave the kitchen!
Hoping you all feel satisfied with your Sunday today - ♥hugs♥

Good morning!
Thanks for starting us off today, Carole! I am also going to get going on a fridge as soon as I finish this post. I wound up spending the afternoon with DH keeping him company at the fruit stand--wow, it was hot out there and that hot wind...anyway, drank a ton of water last night and will do the same today. I am meeting a few of the girls from our running group for brunch at 10:30 am and will head to the grocery store from there. Need to finish my list. The long run yesterday started okay...I was kind of tired. The end was so hard though--it was 90 degrees and I was feeling it. Proud to have finished though= and listening to music definitely helped. Today, if I can get the groceries organized, cut up some veggies for the week, and feel like I have meals planned I will definitely feel satisfied.
Carole: Wow, rain AGAIN? Sheesh! I saw your FB post from 2017 when it was raining...I wonder if it happens this way every summer? Here our summer goes through Sept...will your Sept maybe bring you more sunshine? I hope so! Ken sounds like Ed...I will be here trapped in the kitchen (cooking or cleaning the fridge) and he will decide to watch his sports on this TV and then I can't watch anything....I always think, "I guess he just wants my company?" I am watching quite a bit of the Olympics but draw the line at things like skateboarding....just can't get into it. Wow, Tracy is working alot! How is she feeling? I know that there were some things going on a while ago...sounds like her and Bob are still going strong! Hope that you have a good day my friend.

Sue: Dutch Apple sounds like it was so fun...and to have Sarah's whole clan there? Great evening. Loved the pictures that were posted--the boys look so happy Wow, you sound like you are buried in zucchini--mmmm...I love lemon anything though. Sounds good. I have the same question as Carole- what do you do with all of it? Hope that you have a nice CALM day today to relax and enjoy and get ready for the week. The pictures that the boys made are so cute! Hope that your DM is able to see them....how is she doing? I hope that you have heard from your brother. Have a good day, Sue.
Lisa: Sounds warm there now! And humid? Do you go to the gym on the weekends? Our gym has so few classes on the weekends --especially on Sundays. I think that there is one yoga class, that is it. Hope that you have a good day.
Hello to all who follow. Need to get going on the fridge---watching the Pioneer Woman on TV (of course--usual Sunday) and seeing that her fridge is PRISTINE. Oh well! Have a good day!

Good Morning everyone
I forgot to call and ask about the nuclear stress test so I will call tommorrow. Audrey found 2 new roomies for college one is from Silverton and the other from Huntington beach Calif, they met on the site for the freshmen to fill out a questionair and meet people on line that they are compatible with and that might want to room together. I found it amazing how they meet new people on line and form a friendship before they even move into the dorms. I got the form for the parent plus program filled out, now they have to look and make sure I am who I am and then I can get the rest of it done and out of my hair.
Yesterday I got my hair colored then stopped at TJ Maxx and got some new sheet's for our bed then to Costco and then home. We had burger's and pasta salad. I just love that they make those Keto buns now, a bun is only 1 pt. I'm going to go for a walk after breakfast and before it get to hot. While at my meeting yesterday, I saw a poster that said "Nothing will change on the scale until things change in your brain" and that just clicked for me. . So I figured I have lost the weight once and I can do this again, I know how and I've got all the tools, I just need to do it, and I can do it, I just need to get my brain in check.

I'm going to get my hammock chair put up, Kerry put it together yesterday. It was so hot yesterday, 91 degree's, I'm so tired of the heat and lately it's been so windy in the afternoon, it feels like a furnace blowing.
Carole I saw the pictures on FB with Eden and the helicopter, she's really cute and the pilot was really nice to take the time and show everyone his helicopter and let Eden sit in it. I'm glad she asked lot's of questions and learned a lot. Sorry about the Broad Ban not going as smooth as it should of but when it's in I bet you will enjoy it. We too are watching the olympics as well, right now is water polo, I see alDl those althletes and man they are in such good shape. Do you work in the office this week?
Sue loved the Dutch Apple and glad that Pat got to enjoy as well. I think Ron Pearlman played the Beast and he does have a real low voice, it quite prominate as well. Have fun painting and baking today.
Gabrielle Yes it's been a week of thinking about what's good for me to make the rest of my future life be the best it can be. Now I've got to tell my brain to get on board and do this lifestyle change. It's hot up here as well, I so am not enjoying this summer very well. It's to hot to do anything outside. I hope you enjoy your run today.
OK need to get this day going before it gets to hot.
Jenny

Afternoon all...got 3 dozen blueberry/zucchini muffins baked with 6 mini loaves baking now. Have all my yellow squash grated, oil measured, lemons have been zested and juiced so I will soon start that batter so that the Lemon Blueberry muffins are ready to go in the over when the loaves come out....amazing how much faster things go without the boys helping out....LOL!! But I wouldn't have changed a thing!! They had so much fun helping me in the kitchen!!
Lisa...glad you got a chance to pop in and say hi!! Your dinner sounds perfect...sometimes appetizers are just enough for a meal. I'm loving the Olympics...I've got it on now in the back ground...I can see the TV from the kitchen. Good plan to at least be organized for Monday and Tuesday...helps to be a day or so ahead so you aren't scrambling!!
Carole...thanks for starting us off this morning...I agree, so often we beat ourselves up for what we DON'T get done instead of just recognizing that we did get a lot accomplished in a day!! I'm not doing any cooking today....Jason is on his own for supper tonight as I will be eating at Lacey's this afternoon....I'm looking forward to a nice afternoon of visiting with great friends!!
Yes Carole...this trip to Dutch Apple was Sarah's gang's family Christmas present from last year....this makes the 3rd year in a row....it's fun and I love to share the experience of Live Theater with the boys!! Glad you are feeling positive about better internet once the BB finally gets installed. Hope it goes smoothly tomorrow and you come home to fast, uninterrupted internet access. Yes, I did see the pictures of the helicopter...Eden looked like she loved it!!! While you might have wasted a while waiting to see the helicopter take off again, it will be a memory Eden will carry with her a long time!!
Poor Tracy...she has to be dragging by now...12 hour days are long and tiring, add the 35 minute commute each way it doesn't leave much time for sleep and a little bit of "life" for her. Glad she has a couple days off coming...she'll need the break!!
Gabrielle...how fun to have a nice brunch with some running friends. I can't imagine running in that heat...sure hope you bring plenty of water with you to stay hydrated!! Hopefully you will get all your groceries organized and prepped for the week so you can start your week in good shape...always makes for a better week!! The boys really do love Dutch Apple...wasn't sure if they would...our girls always loved to go and they saw whatever shows we took Jason's folks and Dad & Pat to...they saw some old classic musicals like "Singing in the Rain", "Seven Brides", "Oklahoma"....they didn't care, they loved it!! Not sure how the boys would do with those old classics so for now we try to find something fun!
Carole/Gabrielle...for the most part we do eat/freeze everything I bake. Jason always takes something "sweet" in his lunch each day for his break in the afternoon....2-3 cookies, a Zucchini muffin/bread....just a little something! I do often bake to bring somewhere and many times, like tomorrow I will bring Gloria and the guys a couple muffins "just because".....I hate to have the squash go to waste and it's never hard to share something baked! LOL!! Both of the recipes I'm making today I portion out in individual serving sizes and wrap well in plastic wrap, then put them all in a gallon freezer bag so Jason just has to grab out however many he needs for the week and they are all wrapped and ready for his lunch box!! I'm not a huge sweet eater but Jason loves baked stuff so in the winter he loves to dive into the freezer for a nice treat!!
Unfortunately, DM is not doing very well at all...while they say she will "recover" after some rehab she will definitely NOT be where she was when we were in TX in May....She really needs to go into more a nursing care facility...she doesn't need total care but she does need someone to be in control of her meds and assist with some ADL (activities of daily living). Unfortunately Jim and Annie what her to maintain her independence but she is incapable...David and I have both voiced our concerns but Jim & Annie want to "keep trying" so she can stay in her apartment but she's taking meds at wrong times, doubling up at times which makes her dizzy and falls, thankfully nothing broken this time but still...they don't see this as a problem. Since they have POA, all we can do it voice our concerns....what happens is all on them.
Jenny....YES, call tomorrow and get that nuclear stress test schedule. Have to laugh though....we became friends online so why would it be odd that Audrey could do the same on the school site!! Glad the financial aid stuff is falling into place...after this year, you'll be a pro!! YAY for a bit of pampering yesterday and a nice dinner....glad you are enjoying the Keto buns and they fit in your tracker. Love the poster you spied at your meeting....very true indeed!!
Nick Pearson was the guy that played the Beast in this production...he has the perfect "beast voice"!! Dutch Apple is local theater so many of the cast are from the area or from the area of the other Prather Theaters...one is in Lancaster, one is in Fort Myers, FL and the other is a touring company....Dutch Apple in Lancaster has been around 35 years....Florida, 26th season and the touring company is in it's 9th season. You really can't beat the price for a buffet meal that is always awesome plus the show.....when you are subscribers like we are you get a discount for all subscription tickets (we do 3-4 per year) and still get a 10% discount on any extra tickets you order in addition to the subscription seats.
OK...last of the muffins just came out of the oven...now I have a table of cooling baked goods....will have to wrap it up when I get home tonight....they have to be fully cooled before I do!!
Time to get a shower and get moving here....been very productive but still a few more things that need to be done!!
Hope all are having a great day....waves to all I missed!
