So, maybe I don't understand, Virginia. In my head you were doing one of those things where they sit you at the same desk you've always been at doing the same thing - just through a third party. Are you moving to another area as part of this process?
Cecilia heads to Brazil on Wednesday, so I've been busy filling my Netflix queue with things to keep me entertained while she's gone.

Louis - thanks for letting the group know I was ok. Cecilia must be so excited, it is so great she gets to visit family.Tacos sound great. I had thin sliced tuna and avocado nachos on vacation.
Virginia. - I’m sorry your team has been split up. I hope everyone finds a position soon.
Brenda - I hope yard work isn’t taking all your time.
We arrived home at 23:00 last night. I did body combat and abs. I’m not sure I will get all my steps today.
Tomorrow I should be rested enough for a early morning walk.
We set up a 2 week holiday to Porto in August.

Today I got out of bed and walked early. Then I did body pump. It is hot outside.
All the ironing is done while watching a Cher concert. So much fun.

The lab lost her sample. She had to go back in this morning, so they're supposed to put a rush on it. We leave for the airport in an hour or so...

Thanks for starting our week, Lou. Yes, it's pretty much as you described, those of us who will onboard with the new company will still work remotely and as best we know we will carry on doing our current jobs. I was really hoping that everyone who wanted to come aboard would have a spot but we know now that isn't the case. I have a feeling it will be quite a ride for a few weeks. We will have to do orientation with the new company, work with new laptops, ensure our access is good, etc, while adjusting to having a significantly smaller team. I hope the Netflix queue is ready. DH is to be out of town for a few days next month. I will probably be downloading e-books and I might have to watch a movie or two. I hope the taco extravaganza was fun. And WTH was that with the lab losing Cecilia's test? I would be beside myself!
Debbie, welcome back. That was a late arrival home. Hooray for more travel plans! I went through a phase several years ago where Jimmy Buffett was my housecleaning soundtrack. Maybe I need to revisit the tradition but change it up every week. You've inspired me!
It's been a crazy week...we received our severance package e-mails on Monday. There have been questions out the wazoo. I have not read mine word for word yet. I suspect some of it is very clear and other parts are mumbo-jumbo legalese. It should be such scintillating reading.
Official HM training has been cancelled for tomorrow evening because NWS has issued a heat advisory. The heat index is predicted to be 105 - 110 degrees. So, one of the walking friends suggested that we go out for dinner. There are four of us on board with that plan. It should be fun. This core group has been walking year round together for the past two years or so.

Yeah. I probably wouldn't want to go running in 100° heat either, Virginia. Hopefully the cover letter for your package gives you the highlights.
We got her test results at 3:40 yesterday - about an hour after we'd planned on heading to the airport. I did some rather sketchy driving but she made her flight.
Let the Summer of Lou commence!

Virginia - that makes me so happy to inspire you. Sorry about the HM training being canceled.
Today was girls beach day. DGF and I rode our bikes and the other two took a cab. We rode , swam , had a beach picnic breakfast the walked , swam more and rode home. I am tired and I didn’t get my steps. Very good day.
