GOOD MORNING!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Carol, I am glad that you made it to Mass and an omelet sounds really good. Thanks for the information about the cake gel. I had never heard of that before!
Jan I am very glad you have a surgeon. Mine was about 12 and did not inspire confidence. It turned out she overreacted but I guess overreacting is better than underreacting. You have parrots!! That is so insanely cool even though they are eating your garden. Wow.
Yes I did: hike in the heat but it was hot enough that it was not that much fun. Whew it is warm here. Also home abs, arms at the un-air-conditioned gym and some chores. Another load of wash this morning. A load a day since the rainy season ended. Yes I can: chores/errands, work on newsletter/journals until work comes through, tonight weight class and hopefully a swim! Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health to all.
I hope everyone is happy, healthy, prosperous, serene, and filled with joy. And just too busy with fun summer activities to check in!
Yes I did: I did finally get hired on a new job. Whew. Got some work done on that. Short walking breaks. Deliver old lawnmower to sharpener. Order spare lawnmower parts (which hopefully should) fit both of them. Home abs, challenging class at the rec, then reward myself with a nice swim. Slept very well after all of that! Yes I can: home abs, early weight class, walking breaks (before it gets too hot), try to make myself work on "the stack". Tonight instead of cardio at the rec - yard gym. I do an early weight class Tuesday and Thursday and try to do yard gym/chores cardio afterwards instead of the nice air conditioned rowing machine. LOL. That way I have some weekend instead of just ALL yardwork. Okay guess step one is to get dressed .. .one, two, three ... love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Tuesday Afternoon, positive peeps!
I thought I posted a bunch on Sunday & yesterday, but now realize it was Fitbit messages with Sally...I never posted it here, oops! We are seeing a lot of haze in the sky, the last several days, from the wildfires in Canada, in the Eastern provinces. The sky is quite hazy, and there have been some beautiful sunsets and a very red moon. Maybe not the best air quality though!
Jan - hang in there. Sending you lots of calm, healing energy as you await word on what's what.
Janet - yay for new job....your gut feeling was right on target, LOL!
Sally - sending safe travel vibes as you deal with cousin biz in Chicago. Make sure you get some happy time with pals.
Nat - maybe you are on vacay now? Or at least close to it.
Yes I DID: --have a very fun Sunday: model rocket launch event in a farmers field just outside of a college town about 45 min. from here. A friend of ours launched a few and we got to see most. Sweetie had packed our bikes in the van so when they were done with the daytime launches, we were able to do a lovely bike ride, a couple of circuits on a 6 mile loop around the town....such nice scenery, some rolling hills, beautiful views of the Genesee River valley. Nice and peaceful, a small town with not much traffic away from the main roads. Deer frolicking in the fields. Lots of birds & butterflies. After our ride, we had our picnic meal and then returned to the launch site for a night launch: rockets decorated with various LED lights, really fun to watch them! --sleep very well after our rocket & bike adventure! --long walk on the pond & bird sanctuary trails on Monday....saw my favorite great blue heron fishing on his favorite pond along the way. I was only going to do a short walk but it turned into a couple of hours. --neighborhood walk today after breakfast....tried to beat the rain showers that were rolling through but it was a good thing I brought along my rain jacket, as I got caught in it. It was actually refreshing and the air cooled a bit during the rain. Sun is out now....More rain and T'storms coming later, so I'm glad I got out when I did.
Yes I CAN: --do some chores indoors, let OK be good enough!
Be well! Carol

Tuesday Evening Check in:
Just a short note to share my not good news about the malignant mass with feelers. Was hoping that would not be the case. Today, blood work and chest x-ray in prep for surgery asap. I'll let you know when.
Appreciate all your prayers and love,
Back tomorrow.

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan sending so much love and light. Many blessings. Surrounding you in prayer. I am glad that you are getting into surgery right away.
Carol your Sunday and your Monday and the sunsets sounds so nice. A 12 mile bike ride! Herons! Many beautiful images, thank you for sharing.
Yes I did: Law, home abs, work on the evil stack, weight class, walking breaks (short/hot), and work in the yard. Filled up the trash can with brush. I had been concentrating on mowing and weed eating and missed how "wild" the rest of the yard had gotten. Well, with this new mower that cuts mowing time I can concentrate on cutting back some of the brush/trees. Yes I can: home abs, mail, short walking breaks, and tonight a double header. I will have my bathing suit just in case I have a little energy left over for a swim. So happy to have the pool back! I will also practice law and hit the supermarket over a long lunch hour for some healthy shopping. (and cook up the fish while it is fresh)
Okay, time to be a grown up and get dressed! love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Wednesday Evening Check-in.
Navigated some Insurance snafus today and got my appt with a good surgeon at a great Cancer center close to home on Friday morning. Was really happy to get in so soon! I am ready to get this done. Strangely, I have not been overeating which is a good thing for this stress eater.
Sally: Hope you're having some fun on your little jaunt.
Carol: Walks and bike rides sound so lovely. And Blue Herons!!!! Love to see one of those.
Janet: Our flocks of bright green parrots are not native but have formed flocks from domestic parrots that got loose and really multiplied. It was a special treat to see them so close up in front of my picture window on those sunflowers, chattering and fighting over flower heads. Happy Mowing. Don't forget to make some time for fun.
Nat: Hope all is well.
Sweet Dreams my Friends.

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan still surrounding you in love, light, blessings, and many prayers. I am glad that you are navigating the insurance company and getting the process started with good providers. I have seen a flock of green parrots at Town Lake but they were just "passing through". It is cool that they know how to find each other and to make it with each others help. Kind of a metaphor for us. Prayers continuing.
Yes I did: go from being unemployed to being marginally employed to being slammed yesterday. Wow. Also, home abs, walking breaks, and a double header (yoga & barre). We had a sub for yoga class and it was one of the best yoga classes that I have attended in quite some time. I stocked up on healthy food, fridge is full. I am glad that I got so many chores and errands out of the way when biz was dead. Yes I can: work. home abs. walking breaks. weight class. start yard. I do make time for fun. Outdoor concert tomorrow night which I am looking forward to. I will start a loaf of bread in the machine for supper tonight. Friend is helping me with chores tonight and requested that I fix supper. Happy to do that, very happy that he is helping me, and happiest of all that he found parts as those can be hard to find right now. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Thursday Afternoon.
Beautiful day with a cool breeze. I feel accomplished with 3 loads of laundry hung out and folded. Had a nice visit yesterday with my artist friend and superb cook. She brought 2 yummy meals for us and it was nice not having to cook. Reading this afternoon and woke up with the book on the ground, guess I took a little nap. Still looking for those light hearted books, have not visited the library yet, may have to order a few. Reading "The Rabbit Girls' and it deals with the Nazi concentration camps, not at all light reading. Important, but I need happy right now.
Janet: Glad the workload is back. Great friends to come help you with yard duties. Enjoy the outdoor concert. What kind of music? Our local park is having a rock band next weekend but I don't think I can chance being around too many people right now. The rise in Covid cases concerns me.
Hope everyone is having a lovely summer's day.

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan, wow, 3 loads of laundry done. I don't even know who is playing tonight I am just happy to have something outdoor and safe and fun to do. I made a note of the book, rule of thumb, if Jan likes it Janet will. The Covid numbers are scary, very scary. I am very glad to be vaccinated.
Yes I did: home abs, short walking breaks, circuit class, and yes mow in the rain. The yard is not finished but almost. Well, the mowing part, much more to do. I finished (and billed for one law project), I had a long lunch with a friend who needed to vent. Another friend helped me with chores and I sent him home with the corn and bread. I had a couple bites (very small) of bread and no corn. Still OP. I now have a garage light again - bless him a thousand fold. No big deal now but after time change hate coming home after dark without it. Yes I can: finish yard. Not messing with home abs today -- I just want to get yard done before spinning class. And then, hopefully a quick swim after. Then work a little bit on the find-a-roofer project. Lots of law and reward self with concert. I hope we do not have another soaking cloudburst during the concert. We have been having one a day. Walking breaks depending on weather. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health!
Sending out love to Jan and to everyone.
Carol good to see you!
Yes I did: finish mowing, spinning class, walking breaks, swim. Law. Enjoy an outdoor concert with a fabulous band that did a little of everything but mostly country and Tejano. Loved them!! This morning started a meatloaf for a friend and a load of wash. I think oven on the way out also. My house is at the age where everything is going at the same time -- at a time when repairmen and parts are at short supply. My garage light has been fixed though due to friend scouring the planet for the last available parts.
Yes I can: walk, swim, chores, home abs. Finish meatloaf if oven will cooperate. I might have to learn to stir fry all the fish if it goes! Law this afternoon and then Mass. Make myself work on evil stack while meatloaf is (hopefully) cooking. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Happy Saturday. Made it through two medical appts yesterday...one with surgeon, one 90 minute with radiologist explaining my eventual treatment. Nurses, Doctors, were so nice and I felt a sense of peace. Today I am going to the library for the first time since Covid. Unless it's crowded. I have to be very careful now and wear a mask everywhere. Washed some sheets today and plan to garden. Had to call a raincheck for the friend's hubbie's Bday dinner on Sunday. Just can't take on anything extra work right now. Janet: Good for you putting roofing on your list reminds me we need that too but it may have to wait. No leaks inside but the shingles are looking very dry and need a patch or maybe a new roof. Country music in an outdoor venue sounds fun, any dancing? Carol: thinking of you and your old house. Is it really old like early 1900's? Ours is a 50's ranch. Sally: Hope you're having fun on vacation and that the weather is nice. Nat: Just drop us a line and let us know you're still kicking! Thought for Today: "In a society that has you counting money, pounds, calories and steps, be a rebel and count your blessings instead." Jan

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Jan so happy to hear that you are finding good providers and more importantly peace. Yes, first things first and concentrate on this first. Yes, there was dancing at the concert -- I restrained myself to chair dancing though. Counting blessings is so important.
Love to ATF!
Yes I did I have a really productive day yesterday. Lots done on repair research. Two walks, two swims, and home abs. Mass was lovely. I even squeezed in some law and a load of wash. Today: walk (and make phone calls including Dad who has a birthday!). Home abs. Gym. Maybe some law and research. Step one breakfast, abs, maybe make myself check the mail. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Sunday noon, positive peeps 🐥🐥!
Jan - Yay for getting through those medical appointments. Take good care of you, and yay for avoiding stress.
Yup, my Old House is early 1900's, it and the one next door to it, which I also lived in for awhile, were built by 2 brothers. This was according to the old guy, rest his soul, who used to live in the house on the other side of Old House. I also found old photos in the basement that were of a man in a WW I army uniform, and in my mind made up a story that it must be one of the brothers. The houses both have certain characteristics, some makeshift architecture, very narrow staircases, odd sized windows (as if someone built with whatever materials were available, maybe some 2nd hand items).
Janet - yay for a productive day and for enjoying concert.
Sally - welcome home after biz in Chicago. yay for back to good routines!
Yes I DID: --enjoy shopping and lunch with a galpal Friday, finally found her a good pair of walking shoes, yay! Ate a bit too much but oh well! Back on track now. --enjoy a nice golf course walk Friday, lots of monarch butterflies loving the milkweed and the thistles, and happy frogs now that the ponds have somewhat refilled. --love my nature preserve walk Saturday, long and leisurely, saw several healthy black snakes, similar to garter snakes just a little bigger. Also lots of flourishing fungi of all colors, thanks to all the recent rain....they love to grow at the bases of the big old pine and oak trees.
I've been getting the same message in different forms, from WW, my walks, and even the readings at church. Miracles are happening all around us, if only we are attentive to them.
Be well! Carol
