Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning.
The home inspection on the house went well yesterday. They found one minor issue and the inspector said that it was a really good renovation job. (took long enough it should be good)
I am a bit grump this morning - what's new huh? My allergies are bothering me. I am having a lot of allergy issues this year.
Insurance approved the implant for the dental work. Just waiting for the dentist to call now and start getting that scheduled. I am not looking forward to it - I really do not like dental work.
RobinMD Pop complained about his vision on the drive. He JUST went to the eye dr and got new glasses. I told him it did not make me feel very warm and fuzzy knowing he is complaining about vision and then trying to drive 4 hours. Glad you enjoyed your day at the pool with YDD.
Janet glad you had a good lunch with your DF and that you enjoyed the pool.
Susie - I can't wait to see your pictures and I am SO happy that your DH got to walk DD down the aisle. There are always glitches with weddings but glad everything turned out ok. Good sentiment on the 1 year anniversary. Enjoy your ODD birthday. Pop's hair cut looks great. He prefers to go to a barber shop and there are so few left these days.
I need to get my oil changed too. I have an appointment for next week but really wanted to try and get it done before we went to Williamsburg this weekend.
Waving to all. I hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Hi Everyone, Here with Cassie on my lap getting spoiled..countdown coming. Once I get moving which will be soon, I plan to go to the gym for a bit as I didnt go yesterday. Then may take a quick trip to Walmart nearby. Swimming later. Does anyone have one of those Sonic fusion water flossers/ toothbrush combos and if so do you like it/ think worth buying? I was reading some reviews that were mixed. I am not good about flossing because its hard to get between back teeth and tends to get stuck. The dental hygienist suggested the water flosser. Jana, congrats on the inspection going well. Also on the approval of the implant. I need to call my dental insurance to see what the cost will be on this future crown/bridge. With my other dentist he let me pay it over a long time but I really dont think that is going to be the same with this new dentist practice. While I maybe could pay it out I am pretty sure I will have to pay more than a small amount. I better get moving..have a great day!

Good morning, Jana, glad the inspection went alright. I hope the dental bit works out. Going to the dentist is super uncomfortable, but I am finding that in the last year or so all of a sudden it seems like a different culture at the dentist... it's all about making the patient comfortable. (((hugs))) Susie, welcome home! Such a moving thought of DH walking down the aisle - so special. I am sure there were many moving moments. I look forward to seeing the pictures. and... that happens to me that my post goes "poof" - ugh! Lora, I hope all went well with DD and DSIL. I bet they missed Merlin as much as Merlin missed them. HMMM, the big question is... will he miss CC? The bowl dinner sounds amazing and perfect. My YDS is coming home today for 3 weeks in between semesters. I am super happy about it! I still hope to get to aqua aerobics tonight, though. I still have not taken care of my little doggie's haircut. Either I'll do that this morning, or just give him a bath. My YDS has this thing he does. Whenever he's walking through and sees Ozzie, he picks him up and puts him in my lap. So, I HAVE to bathe him to get him ready for those YDS "cuddles." It's sweet and Ozzie likes the attention. Waving hi to all!

Janet, my husband uses a sonic type tooth brushy thing. It somehow is connected to an app that he uses to show how fast/slow to go and where in his mouth he still need to give attention to. It's really made a difference. Have a great day at the gym and pool!

Good morning friends! Sending out Happy Tuesday vibes for all!
DD and DSIL didn't get here until almost 8pm last night. They hit thunderstorms along the was that slowed them down a bit. They were pretty tired when they finally rolled in, but were hungry because they'd only stopped once along the way. Just between us, I can't imagine a 12 hour drive with just one stop. My bladder would absolutely not allow for those conditions. Lol
Anyway, they were happy to get here and relax a little and eat. Merlin was happy to see them, and CC was very engaging as well. He did for them like he does for us and anytime anyone gets close to the pen, he runs to that side and stands up on his back legs and pushed is little nose against the wire wall for pets. They've already headed out this morning. Originally they'd said they were not any a rush today, but I get it that they started thinking about work and that they could get back to ATL and play a little catch up at the office this afternoon so tomorrow and the rest of the week wouldn't be so bad.
I don't think the were even totally out of the driveway before I opened CCs side door and he came bolting out and did about 3 laps around the den area rug at top speed. Lol. He'll pretty much have his pen open and be free to come and go until bed time tonight, so he'll be glad to have that freedom back, I think.
Susie - So happy to hear that the wedding is now in the books and that DH accomplished his goal. I totally believe there wasn't a dry eye in the house. How special that must have been for all. I get the warm fuzzies just thinking about it.
Jana - Oh girl! I need a pedicure SO BAD. I mean, I guess I don't "need" one, but I'd love to have one. It was always a thing I did with my good friend, and I don't think I'd enjoy it as much as a solo activity. That being said, I haven't had one - at least not anything other than a home pedi - since we moved. Maybe one day.
Well, I need to go take care of a few things. I'll BBL for more personals.

Lora I guess I should come to Alabama and we can go get a pedicure together joking. I understand what you mean. I have always pretty much just gone alone to stuff like that. I am glad that everything went well with DD, CC and Merlin. CC sounds very cute dashing around the den. Janet it will not really be a small amount I have to pay for the implant but I guess compared to the total cost it isn't too bad. The insurance is covering 80% of the implant. Jill I know you will enjoy have YDS at home for a bit. I am trying to decide what I want for lunch. I can't figure it out. I guess I must not really be very hungry, huh?

Okay, I'm back. I was going to strip the guest room beds and get that stuff washing, but kind of thought...What's the hurry? So just walked out and closed the door behind me. Lol. It can wait for a bit. I'll just want to get it handled before too much longer so I can unpack the paint stuff again.
Mark is taking tomorrow off - he still has some days that he has to Use of Lose before mid August. There are more days, but some can be carried over into next year. Anyway, I think we're going to take the kayaks out tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be sunny and low 90s. It will be terribly humid I think, but on the water there is almost always a breeze of some kind. Between the crazy weather, work and family & yard commitments is been a couple of weeks since we've been on the lake. I'm really looking forward to getting out there.
I'm loving having the new Zinnias on the porch, and so are the hummers. I still don't have them in the regular planters, they're still in the pots they came in. But they appear to be doing well and I do enjoy seeing the hummers visit them often.
Jana - that's good news on the inspection. Sorry about the allergy issues, I know how miserable that can be. These days, I mostly experience it in my eyes, and pretty much only the day of and the day after mowing. They get itchy and goopy, but it's so much better than what I used to deal with that I'm okay with a day or so of itch goopy eyes. Lol.
Janet - it sounds like you have a good day planned. Enjoy the pool. That will be a nice reward after getting WM and the gym out of the way.
Robin - I hope August takes it's time, so that you can have more chances to enjoy the pool before closing it for the year.
Jill - I know you'll enjoy having YDS at the house for a few days. It's always nice to have them come, but it's also nice to have the regular house routine restored. Does that make sense? I don't mean it to sound mean. I don't think Merlin will miss CC a bit. He has 2 cat sisters at home who boss him around, so he'll be fine.

Back from the pool and going to read some of the book that is part of a series. Maybe I will open laptop and do another light easy to listen recording so I can be done with the required training hours. I would just have to do the little quiz to complete it when they send it tommorow.
Tommorow I have plans to go to a vegerarian restaurant but waiting to confirm with my friend. If we dont go I might be going to an Alumni scout meeting but that is if the other person's plans get changed too. I dont like driving on the highway at night so wont drive myself there.
Lora, glad that C.C..has her freedom to move around again..sounded like she had a ball doing zoomies for a bit. My friend's brother is still at the rehab so she is still able to get out. Once he comes home she will be pretty be stuck in or very close to her house. She doesnt drive but has a few stores close to her if she really needs something.

Today I got up and took my car for an oil change and had them go ahead and get my state inspection done since they said they could go ahead and do it...supposed to be done by the end of July anyway. Then I walked with my ODD - the birthday girl - and later DH and I took her and the 2 YDGDs to lunch for her BD. She is going to look at a new van...she had to drive secondary roads all the way home from the wedding at a reduced speed due to car issues and she and her DH decided this is it...yes, they are expensive now, but we are doing it! So, while they go look at a new van 45 min away, I am going to pick up ODGD from her dance class. WHoops...gotta go do that ...bbl

OK...back from picking up DGD...
Jana - yippee for the inspection going well AND for the implant being approved (that is a biggie)! I am guessing Pops has not had cataract surgery...right? That could make a big difference for him. Are you getting an implant for one tooth? DH has 5 implant posts with a bridge holding 12 teeth in I think. Does that make sense? His teeth were terrible and this was so much better than the dentures that my DM and DF had. I am guessing you are getting an implant for one tooth... is that right?
Jill - I know you will enjoy having your YDS there for a few weeks. I guess you got the doggie his bath today - lol!
Janet - don't know much about the sonic thing...always just use dental floss... but if you think you would use it, I think anything to take care of your teeth is a good idea.
Lora - glad DD and DSIL got in safely... I bet those thunderstorms were awful....ohhhhhh, when you mentioned CC standing up and putting his little nose up for pets, I wanted to be there petting him! I checked my hummingbird feeder today and it was completely empty, so I got that all set again. I have seen several now... I get so excited every time I see one.
Did I tell you all that I took MDGD and went for mani-pedis last week before the wedding? I just touched up the manicure today (I always take my own polish so I can do that and just get the regular ones). My pedicures will last a couple months when I do that. Of course, not the manicures though. I will be thrilled if this lasts 2 weeks with my touch ups!
OK...waving to Robin and anyone else....hope to be back tomorrow
