Happy Thursday, WW Friends ~
We still have warm, muggy air outside, but there is a promise of a cool-down. I'll believe it when I see it.
Ann ~ I also LOVE pickled beets and sweet potato fries! Actually I love beets of any kind at all, though DH can't stand them.
Judy ~ Congrats on the offer on the house! Waiting to hear more about it and praying for the best!!
Pam ~ Good planning on the car seats. Where did you get them? So happy to hear your DH is back in a boot, so less wound care for you.
I have been to my Fitness Class this morning but received some sad news. Our manager (and Thursday instructor) is moving to Florida in a couple of weeks! She will be sorely missed! Our program is already short on instructors. Seems too many of them didn't come back after the pandemic. Sad ..... But the class will still go on with the other instructor and they are actively searching for someone. I do hope they don't cancel my class!! I can already feel my strength and coordination improving and would like to continue.
Next on my agenda today was a hair cut, then a gas fill-up and then grocery shopping, a stop at the Credit Union, and I am back home. Everything is put away. I have been working on cleaning some oil stains in our driveway left there by DH's old truck. I Googled how to remove them and found several ideas. I am currently trying Dawn (with degreaser) on some of them and scrubbed them with a brush and rinsed. I will see how they look when they dry.
We are also having loin pork chops for supper tonight. I plan to serve them with leftover bulgur/mango/avocado salad and corn-off-the-cob. Should make for a great supper. Breakfast was a poached egg and 1 slice of Dave's Killer toast with a fresh fruit bowl (pineapple/strawberries/blueberries). I just finished my lunch which was shredded lettuce with canned tuna and Ken's Lite Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette dressing. I haven't had it in a few days and it really hit the spot today!!
It is going to stay in the upper 80's today so I don't think I will try to walk. I don't usually on the days I go to Fitness Class anyway. Tomorrow's high is only 71 and stays in the 70's all weekend and into next week. Yay!! I could use some outdoor time!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue so very sorry to hear the that instructor is moving to Florida. I pray that they find a replacement and that you class isn't cancelled. I can't say as I blame you for skipping the walking on a day that you went to fitness class and especially in 80+ weather. Here it started out really nice. I got two decent walks in and just came inside when the sky opened up. It's been POURING ever since. Good grief. If anyone wants some rain PLEASE come to New England!!!! To say I'm sick and tired of this weather is an understatement. Good luck getting the oil stains off the cement. I hope that works for you. You've been busy. I especially like the salon trip I am going to open the kindle now and read a bit. If I don't get back into the cafe will catch up with y'all tomorrow. Maybe I'll build a canoe LOL.....

Hi all,
I had another very wild and busy day trying to get ready for the closing of the house and all of the details that must be done. The downside of being my own sales rep and realtor is that there is an awful lot of paperwork which only adds to the stress and I don’t want to forget any document that must be attached. Thankfully, I am working with a seasoned realtor and I have been peppering her with questions. She remains very patient with me thank goodness. Of course, I am paying her well for her services!
things are moving along quickly. The home inspection will be this Saturday and the purchase and sale will be signed on Monday! That’s like faster than the speed of light. DH and I hope that the new buyers won’t be chiselers as he calls them! We hope they won’t try to nickel and dime us on everything in the house. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. It looks like we have very solid buyers and I even talked to the bank where they are doing their financing. I’ve done some homework and realized how very lucky with these buyers. They both have excellent jobs and we can’t ask for much more than that. I’ve been signing and uploading documents and getting things ready, talking to our lawyer, the broker and my friend. Once again, I will be so glad to have this behind me.
I have some new big decisions to make quickly. When I go back to work on Monday, I intend to tell my boss at all the recent developments and offered to work from home for a while maybe coming in one or two days a week at the most. We’ll see what he says. It’s only a little over an hour from our house to work and as much as I hate to commute, I wouldn’t mind doing it for a while if it were only one or twoDays a week. I don’t want to leave him in the lurch. Then, we will be leaving for California on Friday morning. I want to put this all behind me for a week so that we can enjoy some nice family time.
On Saturday, I am going to drive down to New Jersey to see the new baby. It’s about a 3 Hour drive and I will stay overnight and come back Sunday morning. At least I’ll be able to see him briefly.
i’m going for a quick hair color tomorrow morning. I wish she had told me to cut it but her schedule is really tight and I have to cancel my Saturday appointment. At least the color will be freshened.
Once again I’m sorry I haven’t had time for a personals lately but I will get back on track very soon. I enjoyed reading all the posts and glad things are going pretty well for everybody.Excuse any typos because I’m using the voice command again that I am off to bed now.

Ann - I have been reading quite a bit while waiting for DH to finish hyperbaric tx. Sometimes I read on my kindle app and sometimes I listen to an audiobook to drown out Blondie in the waiting room. I also finished one audio book and started a new one with the trips to BTR this week, since it's an hour+ each way. I'd take some of the rain off your hands, but we have plenty of our own, lol.
Sue - I have had one car seat a very long time, since Jude was small. I also have one that DD3 purchased and gave me when Madison was born, so she could have one here and wouldn't have to check one through on flights home. Though technically, it's okay for Leah to use, it's probably just a little small now, so I have borrowed a bigger one from Debbie to use while they're here. Debbie kindly dropped it off while we were out and about today.
Judy - So it was YOU who told me about the Elly Griffiths books! I couldn't remember, but am enjoying this first one very much.
Today was much of the same. I dropped DH at the doctor's office and found a shady parking space nearby. I sat and listened to my audio book until I had to go to the bathroom and was sweating from the heat. By the time I got done in the bathroom, the driver had arrived to pick up Blondie and her SO, so that worked out well. I ordered takeout lunches from the Greek/Lebanese restaurant we like and picked them up at noon. I ate half of mine in the car and was just finishing up when DH got out. I started the drive home and he ate on the way, so it worked out well. We both had enough leftover for dinner tonight.
After a short rest, I headed to town and did some work at the hospice office, then went to visit two patients. My little man was feeling lonely and I made 3 attempts to leave before I actually got going, promising to return soon. The sky was almost black as I hurried to my car and sped to yoga. The bottom fell out just after I got there, but the storm had passed by the time we finished. DH said lightning struck very near our house and Sadie Cat jumped about 3 feet in the air from a dead sleep and bolted for the door.
We are both exhausted and looking forward to the weekend. I'm going to read a very short while and then head to bed.
