This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning! Janet, I hope all goes as planned today at your appointment. Taking an elevated train sounds like something in a movie - fun . Lora, good idea to wait to go out on the water when there is enough energy! Hope the Costco run was successful. Susie, I love the wedding pictures. They truly shine with joy... so glad all went well. Jana, yes, Ozzie got a bath and a simple trim. and yes YDS came home. I hope all went well at work yesterday and that today goes well too. I haven't heard about your hammock lately. Are you able to get out and relax in it this season? Robin, I hope you are having a good week. Are you able to get to your oasis during the week? It's so nice having YDS home. The dogs are super happy about it too. Last night I made apple crisp for YDS, since it's one of his favorites. He has a podcast connected to his school, so he did the recording of that last night. After the editors do their magic, it'll be released, so I can't wait for that. I got most of the furniture placed in the classroom yesterday, which was a lot of work. Today, I'll work on the atmosphere a bit. My theme is bold colors with polka dots... mostly. The last few years I've had an owl theme, but I will no longer be using that. I thought it best to change it since it'll be mostly the same students as last year since I am moving up to 5th this year. It was nice being back at school, but it's strange being on the other side of the campus now. Today I am headed back to the school, then tonight I'll go to aqua aerobics. Waving hi to all!

Hi Everyone, Got down here a bit too early but usually I get a cup of coffee from the trucks that sell but didnt see any as I walked by. Then I saw one pulling in and opening. Figured it would only take a few minutes to get it set up to get a cup of coffee but they said they wouldnt be ready until 10 so forget it. Not sure what the weather will be by the time I get home. They were saying rain and thunderstorms later tonight. There was a nice breeze this morning as I was coming. The garage is still free. I wasnt sure if the ticket just wasnt coming out. I asked someone and they said they still werent charging. I thought that now more people were going to work that they would. Jill, glad that you are enjoying your son being home. Sounds like you are getting everything ready..when do you start with your class? My kids start on September 1st. You are lucky you are getting kids you know already. I am getting all new kids this year. Have a good day..bbl.

Good morning everyone! Jill - thanks so much for getting us started. Yes, the Costco run was successful. We didn't need a ton of stuff, but still spent almost $200. Funny how that always happens. Good job with your work on your classroom yesterday. I mean, that kind of stuff is definitely a workout. I still can't believe that the summer break is winding down so quickly. I bet those kiddos will be so excited to be seeing you at the front of their classroom again this year. Jana - Have mercy! Expense report day, yuck. I didn't even like doing my own, I certainly would not enjoy having to weigh in of 60 or so others. Lol Susie - That's terrific news on DHs eye procedure! YAY! Janet - Yay for free parking! Every little bit helps, right? Robin - I hope you're having a good week! So, on the way to town yesterday I was playing around on my phone and realized that my tracker logged 2 3/4 hours of sleep Tuesday night. Well heck! No wonder I was super low on energy and having a hard time keeping my eyes open. We had lunch at Jim N Nicks before hitting Costco. That was a nice thing to break up the normal drudgery of shopping. Once we got home I went ahead and stripped the guest room bed(s), got the trundle pushed back under the day bed, washed, dried and folded the bedding and towels and got them back into their storage tote, and got my paint stuff set back up. So, all in all actually did get some things accomplished yesterday, in spite of feeling drained and exhausted. Bed time came pretty early last night and sleep was definitely better than the night before, at a total a little over 7 hours. I also made a batch of slaw yesterday, as Mark is at the office today. One of his teams is having a meeting and decided to do a potluck BBQ luncheon and he drew the "slaw" card. Lol Anyway, I'm kind of taking it on the easy side again today. I'm still feeling a little sluggish, but definitely better than yesterday. Coffee is calling! BBL

Home from the doctor appt. Relaxing with Cassie on my lap. Not feeling like swimming today. Its cloudy and not really hot today.. May go to the dollar store and maybe the other deli store nearby for a few things. Other than that read, may check out some future purchases. Lora, glad you got more sleep last night..I felt tired this morning and wished that the truck would have been there this morning..it took longer this morning also at the doctor..Since it is a teaching center as well they sometimes have a resident do a preliminary check and then they report to the doctor first. Everything pretty much the same and stable.

Hello everyone,
Lora, I ALWAYS manage to find things that weren't even close to being on my list, when I walk into a Costco. My excuse is that you'll never see the same things again, so "if you like it, buy it". Of course, I keep it real and do sometimes have to stand there a while and talk myself out of it, but it is SO easy to spend money at that store! How do you make your slaw? Do you use regular cabbage? I like to use shredded red cabbage in addition, for the bright color. They all taste similar to me, and I almost never eat cabbage except for the red cabbage in mixed salad greens...
Jill, is sounds like you are getting the classroom close to being ready. My YDD's boyfriend is a 7th grade teacher and he is getting things ready, too. I have been getting some pool time in. I hope to enjoy it as much as possible in August, and close it the first week of September. I'll be on stay-cation then, so it will be a good time to get it done.
Janet, the goat cheese nachos sound really good. I'm glad you had a good, routine appointment.
Susie, I love the pictures of the bride and groom! The photographer did a nice job, and DD looked so gorgeous and glowing! I love her dress. And the doggie cake topper!
Jana, I agree with Lora....I hate managing my own expenses, let alone so many others.
I'm going to go see what I feel like having for dinner. Tomorrow is all nurse support for me, so it will be answering phones, giving out answers, making lots of calls, doing vaccines, and anything else that is helpful. Then I'm off this weekend...so glad about that. I will be back at some point. I hope everyone has a really good end to the week! Waving to all

Hi Everyone... Went for an early walk with ODD, then had 2 Dr appts. One was to set up an endoscopy & colonoscopy and the other was to check on how the topomax (migraine aura med was doing- actually pretty well).
I tried to copy the wedding pics Janet and send it to the group also. When I try to do things like that I just screw things up...not very good at technology and when I try switching things all around is how I open myself up to being hacked I think. Therefore, when I post more pics, I will try to post it to the group AND to my regular FB acct.
Robin - yippee for having the weekend off....I think everyone liked the doggie cake topper.....it really looks like their doggie Annabelle too!
Feeling kind of stressed so I am signing off for tonight - bb tomorrow.....
