Thanks for the start June. Bet you'll sleep well tonight.
Friday I shall continue to KOKO. If the weather is nice we may get together with Linda and Mike. I suggested going out to eat if it's raining and Linda said she'd get back to me tomorrow.
Sweet dreams and prayers continue.

Good morning friends. Slept well just woke up way too early. My mind wouldn't shut down.
Going to be spotty with rain so I'll leave it up to Linda and Mike as to what they want to do.
Becky hope you find what you need grocery shopping. How is the new phone working?
Audrey prayers for Mary continue. Hope Bob's ankle feels better.

I will KOKO. I am the same weight now for seven days - I might have been down this morning if I had not indulged last night and might be up tomorrow (there is usually a one day lag in weight going up after I indulge). BUT, it was worth it
I have laundry drying on the line, am coping with the electricity cuts, am still behind with the reading/reviewing but will get done what I can when I can.

Audrey, hope Bob's ankle is better soon.

Good morning
Ann Hope that the weather cooperates tonight. Yes, I did! I am so spoiled when it comes to sleeping well.
Audrey Will keep praying for Mary and those who love her. Sending you a big warm hug. Feeling powerless is awful. Hope that Bob's ankle improves after a bit of rest.
Cathy You really have a great handle on how your body handles indulgences. That's a great tool. Glad you had a great visit and are managing the daily challenges.
Bee Yay! That's a great result for Accountability Friday! Thx. Wishing you enough "giddy up" to carry you through whatever you want to do today.

North Jersey Young Marines Recruit Class of 2021-3 is well and truly graduated, with the ceremony taking place at 1500 / 3 PM yesterday. Toots polished his "MSgt halo" by picking up the cupcakes and bringing the chips and napkins for the reception, arriving "two minutes" after we'd left for the x-ray.
The Kressling & I went to the pediatric medEmerge for 1 PM and returned to CHS YM drill site) by 2:40 PM. Diagnosis is "non-displaced intra-auricular avulsion of the third digital phalanx" - his left middle finger, fingertip bone, appears to be cracked. He can flex the finger, and that joint by itself (but with the swelling and bruising still present, not completely). Treatment? What we did, we will continue to do: splint the finger when he's out and about. Flex the fingers regularly, to help break down the bruising. Ice and OTC painkiller when necessary. He is taking a doctor's note to JLS; he will be able to participate in all the training except for pull-ups and maybe push-ups. It is not his dominant hand, so writing is not affected.
We got home after 5 PM, including a quick stop at the Kressling's house to pick up two pair of black shorts and drop off cupcakes for his family. Our evening at home was quiet; Toots made the Kressling a pasta bolognese dinner and we had pork tenderloin slices with mashed potato. I actually went to bed VERY early; there is much still to do, to get ready for JLS, but last night I needed to put my feet up and watch the Olympics.
Today we'll do some small shopping (bug spray, sunblock, notebooks), make sure all the Kressling's gear is labeled, and start packing. I need to distribute the unit T-shirts and will deliver them to the "seabag check" that is taking place at 5 PM (I am not doing house-to-house for the other 6 YMs). Our departure is planned for 1 PM tomorrow; our stopping point (2/3 out) is State College PA. We will arrive by noon Sunday at Camp James A Garfield, since I need to touch base with the director about my tasks for the week before the main body of students arrives (4-8 PM).
One WONDERFUL occurrence: the Kressling was awarded his promotion to Corporal, and will wear those bars on his collar for JLS.
Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... and morning prayer...
πππ£ππππ£ππππ£ππππ£ππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππ£ππππ£ππππ£ππππ£ππ

MJ congratulations to Kressling awarded a promotion to Corporal Praying for a healing for Kressling and his finger. Sounds like a good plan. Yeah to Toots bringing the cupcakes and chips Enjoy that coffee. June although I woke up earlier than usual so far it's not getting in the way of my 'get up and go'. I've balanced the checkbook paid bills planned and tracked my day and in a bit we'll hit the pavement. The storm that should have hit us went north and to that I say good riddance. We do NOT need anymore rain that's for sure. Linda called and Mike is not feeling well so plans for today aren't happening. He has a sinus headache and I can so relate to those. Bee yes to the TB heading in the right direction. Hope you enjoy a wonderful day. Cathy indulgences happen and we know how to deal with them. Main thing is that you enjoyed yourself

I just beat the worst of the storms home last night after waiting out the tornado warnings at the hairdresser. Poor Lily got a 5 minute walk before the rain hit. I didn't want the cone to get wet. Tonight I'm picking up dinner for me and Cheryl and taking and Lily over the Cheryl's. Tomorrow and Sunday will be the usual ferals, extra walk for Lily, spin and shopping in the a.m. Carol and I are heading over to our friends Marge and Wayne tomorrow afternoon. Most likely we will be hanging in the pool. Sunday I am going to see my friends Barbara and Nick and their grandsons, also likely in the pool if the weather holds. Lily goes Tuesday to get her stitches out.
Audrey - Sending lots of prayers. Will be back for other personals later.

Susi happy you beat the worse of the storm. WE also lucked out and got back three times before the sky opened up. Looks like the rain we were supposed to get went north of us. Happy dancing about that LOL. Sorry Lily's walk got cut short. Have fun with Marge and Wayne tomorrow at the pool and Barbara and Nick on grands on Sunday. Good luck to Lily on Tuesday getting stitches out. Sending prayers that all goes well. We took a 2 mile hood walk. At the end Benjamin got tired and hot and sat under a tree to cool off. We take water with us but lots of times he will not drink it outside. Instead I wipe his body down with it and he will lick the water off my hands. Go figure. Luigi and LuLa both drank from the water bottle while outdoors.
I've balanced the checkbook and paid bills. Two things crossed off the 'to do' list
